Judging by the other reviews, the place gets rowdy later, but I've never had any issues in the afternoon (I am also a quiet and polite white man; change any of those and the experience may differ). I've been here alone and with friends. I usually sit at the bar, have a beer or two, and typically some food. The food (burgers, pizza, wings) is surprisingly good. Taking a point off because I do believe I got food poisoning here once. The place looks like it is built to be abused. Cinder block prison-style restroom, stage that probably should have chicken wire in front of it; you get the picture. Barmaid is very nice and attentive. The clientele is consistent; I seem to see the same people here every time I stop in. It is very casual and reasonably priced.

The first thing the bartender said when I sat down was "we don't take credit cards." I ordered a drink, a breakfast sandwich and some biscuits and gravy while listening to some early 80s classic rock. This place began to grow on me even before my food arrived. The food was great. I think the one bartender was doing it all. I'd give 5 stars for it being exactly what a lot of us want, but my guess is that they'd rather patrons have 2 or 3 star expectations that they always exceed.
