Dr Franklin was not only unpleasant and condescending, but also invented his own facts. After examining me, he said, "I see you've broken your nose in the past." I never have, and I said so. He insisted, "Oh yes you have," to which I replied, "No, I think I would have noticed." Repeat 3x. He was thoroughly dismissive and didn't say a word when he left, except to his clearly miserable assistant. They will order replacement supplies for you without telling you or warning you of the cost. And if you try to make an appointment with their online "scheduling tool," you just get a message back saying to call them and answer all the same questions again. I arrived to a completely empty waiting room for a 9am appointment and it wasn't until 10am that Dr Franklin saw me. Firstly, he was unapologetic for the delay and secondly, the bedside manner he exibited was not only unprofessional, it verged on obnoxious. I visited Dr. Scott in April of 2022. The visit was organized and fast, almost too fast. I was seen by the doctor for less than 5 minutes then ushered over to a hearing test. I was given a prescription for an ear infection but no details of the issue were afforded to me. A follow up visit was scheduled 30 days out. The day before said appointment I received a call explaining the Dr. could not see me as he needed to take time off. The remake appointment offered to me was 2 months out. I remind you I had an ear infection of some sort and it had not gone away. I called in 3 weeks ago to see about getting an appointment as the problem still exists. This time it was urgent as I have started a new job and hearing is critical. The assistant made had no care of my situation and would not try and work me in and further more would not at least refill the prescription. It is clear that Dr. Scott sees people as customers and not patients. read more

I concur with the prior reviewers that this is an awful office to deal with and that the doctor is very condescending and rude. The reception totally miscommunicated with us about scheduling and pre-operative requirements and then the doctor was extremely rude, zero empathy, and berated my elderly father and me during the visit as it were our fault. I have had very positive experiences with Dr. Franklin and his staff. He spent the time to talk to me, explore my problem and take it seriously. He followed up with every issue and through allergy test, CT scan, sleep study and we were able to narrow my problems down. This was by far the worst doctor and experience with a doctor I have ever had. He was rude ... and acted as if I was bothering him For being there. His bed side manner was awful. If you don't like your job as a doctor maybe you should look elsewhere as you are there to "help". His tone and just all around demeanor was just awful. I wanted for over an hour to see him and he never apologized and I said thank you when he left the room even after his rude diagnosis and he slammed the door. This guy is a real piece of work. Went to see Dr. Franklin for some chronic sinus problems, before I even make it to an exam room. I'm told that I will owe 25 dollars for the visit, and 250 for a surgical procedure (Basically deadening my nose, and looking in it) that had already been done recently, He really really wanted to do it again and spent over 10 Minutes telling me how important it was. It wasn't until I said that I DID NOT want it done that he relented. Then he puts me on antibiotics and antihistamines and ordered a CT scan, When ARA called to schedule the CT they are 70 dollars more than other providers and I called to ask if I could use another provider, but no one calls back for two weeks, I finish the meds and call back to see if they will send the orders to the provider I have chosen, they refused to use another provider, and basically suggested I go elsewhere if I don't want to play along with them. read more

Would give negative 5 star review if I could. Saw him first time 7-8 years ago and he referred me to an ENT who is plastic surgeon for deviated septum. Saw him again in February 2022 and thought his demeanor was very odd. Not what I remembered at all. Maybe COVID got to him. Scheduled a follow up appointment and when I went in he was extremely angry that I refused an additional hearing test. He was rude, unprofessional and a disgrace to the medical profession in how he spoke to me and interacted with me. I left the appointment and told him I would never return and would not tolerate being talked to in that manner. He subsequently "fired" me as a client. What a joke. He must think he's quite something to be able to continue making a living while treating patients the way he does. Seems to be a common theme in his online reviews. Ever wanted to fire a doctor? You can! I saw Dr. Franklin in January of 2013 and I must say that I have never been so disrespected by a doctor in my life. I tried to ask intelligent questions that were important to me about my condition. I had previously researched my condition and had a list of pre-written questions. I was well prepared to have a valuable discussion. Dr. Franklin responded with disrespectful and unhelpful answers such as "because I said so". When I asked for clarification as to "why" he held up 3 fingers in succession and indicated 3 answers while tagging each finger. I was brought to tears by the tone in his voice and his disrespect. He was rude and unhelpful. I knew that day that I would never return to his office. Today I received the letter via certified mail that he has "fired" me as a patient. This guy knows what he is doing! Dr. Franklin and his staff are very professional and friendly. I've had two visits thus far and will be having surgery tomorrow by him. I've suffered for many years with breathing problems associated with both my throat and nose and Dr. Franklin was able to give me a diagnosis that many doctors before him had never even bothered to give. My tonsils are big and I have trouble breathing and swallowing. I wanted them out years ago when I was a kid, but my doctor at the time advised me against it as did other doctors as I grew older. Dr. Franklin believes strongly that once removed, I'll be able to sleep better, eat without choking, and breath better. Can't wait until this procedure is all over and I'm well in a few weeks. I was referred to Dr. Franklin by my PCP for a chronic cough. I found him to be rude, disrespectful, and dismissive. During the laryngoscope I flinched when he fist inserted the scope into my nostril as it hurt. He actually rolled his eyes in disgust and said " If you move I can't do this". He told me that my chronic cough was a "habit" I had developed and wrote on my visit summary "Patient should discontinue clearing her throat." Believe me if I could stop the need to clear my throat and cough I would have done it by now. He was so not interested in helping me or listening to any of my concerns. I told my PCP about my horrible experience and she said many of her patients have not had a good experience with him and gave me another ENT to see. I can't imagine why this man choose the medical profession. He seems to have no interest in helping people. read more

Shockingly rude. Not harried-doctor-overworked-and-overwhelmed rude, which I've experienced before, and is understandable. But outright let-me-put-some-extra-effort-into-this meanness and contemptible behavior. He literally left my sweet, friendly grandma in tears. She told him the issue that bothered her, how it sprang up all of a sudden, and he told her no it didn't, it must have been that way for a long time, she just noticed it for the first time lately. She is a brilliant, completely all-together lady, organizes complicated charity projects with ease, teaches large Sunday school classes, but in his eyes she was just a daft old lady who doesn't know the difference between last week and last month. Then he totally dismissed her complaint and told her it was just part of her arthritis. She doesn't bleeping have arthritis! Ugh. UPDATED REVIEW... took my second child to him. Just love this guy. He is laid back, to the point, and gets the job done. Made my kid feel comfortable and the parents as well. The surgery center is clean, pleasant, and on ball with all that had to take place. They have a computer on the wall and you can see where your loved one is in the "que" prepping for surgery, in surgery, finishing up surgery... that is so fantastic.. I actually enjoy visiting Dr. Franklin and his staff. Dr. Franklin really takes his time explaining things to me (almost to a fault, but I'd rather someone over explain than under). He asks over and over again if I understand what he's saying and he takes his time answering any questions I have. I had a surgery with him about a month ago and his follow up care is the best I've ever encountered. I had a post-op visit 2 days after surgery, and then a visit ever week for the next 3 weeks. I also have another appointment in a month from now. He is gentle and thorough and the surgery went perfectly. I am already breathing better and I only just had surgery a few weeks ago. The nurses are also so, so friendly. I have had to take my toddler with me to almost all my visits and everyone is so understanding and friendly. Even Dr. Franklin went out of his way to explain to my son what he was doing. My son loved having a doctor talk to him. The wait times in the office are also minimal. Only once did I have a log wait (over 30 mins, and everyone apologized), but every other time the wait was about 5 mins tops. I highly recommend this Dr. Franklin, he knows what he's doing and everyone is so friendly. read more

I recently had an office visit scheduled with Dr. Franklin as I had vertigo. As he was on vacation when I tried to get an appointment with him, I was able to get another appointment and had the audiology tests done. The doctor I saw was then also went on vacation, thus my making an appt. with Dr. Franklin. I called his office, told them about my recent tests and the receptionist told me to fax my results to their office. I just decided to pick up my very detailed test results, myself. When I entered Dr. Franklin's office, the receptionist took the test results and put them in my file. I waited over AN HOUR to see this doctor. He finally walked in to the exam room, did not greet me OR apologize for my long wait. He looked at my chart and told me that he could not use the test results I had given him - that I needed to have his audiologist do my tests over. He was rude and dismissive. I think he just wanted to make money on doing more testing. I then walked out of the exam room and left the office. On my way out, I told him that I hoped that he would not bill my insurance company. I am going to write a letter to my insurance carrier to let them know that he is just trying to make money off his patients and trump up extra charges. He is the worst doctor I have ever seen! Totally will NEVER go see this Dr. again. He was rude upon entering the room and felt like he talked down to me and tried to pressure me into surgery by using scare tactics. I had been sick for several months and had full blockage one one side and and partial on blockage on the other half of my nasal cavity. I had seen my allergist the day before and the allergist felt that I could beat this if I waited out some of the current pollens in the air over the next month. Dr. Franklin did not agree. He wanted to rush into surgery because of "scare tactics" - if my nasal cavity burst puss could go into my brain, or blind me in one eye or it could ruin the bone around my eye...... I told him that I wanted to wait until some of the allergens went away to see if I got better. Dr. Franklin continued to try to push me into surgery by telling me that is his surgery schedule is booked for a month in a half in advance....so I was going to be sick for even longer if I didn't get on his surgery schedule immediately. Upon leaving, I did not book surgery. Needless to say, I did not make a follow-up appointment with Dr. Franklin. I picked up my medical records and files from Dr. Franklin's office making it clear that I would be seeing another dr. and would not be returning to Dr. Franklin again. 5 months AFTER I have had my follow-up appointment with the new ENT and even after I made it very clear that I would not be returning to Dr. Franklin for any follow-up or future appointments -- I got a certified letter from him stating that he is terminating our professional relationship and that he will no longer be able to treat me. Really, isn't that what I did by picking up my files and changing Dr.'s? I have changed Dr.'s in the past and NEVER received a certified letter from the Dr. that I was no longer going to be seeing! NEVER! I honestly feel ike it was just another stab by an arrogant man that was mad and trying to get "the last word in" because I didn't give in to his aggressive pressures to have have him do surgery on me. I would NEVER rocommend him to anyone -- in fact, I would tell people to NOT see him! I feel sorry for all the patients in the waiting room that are so sick that they don't get a second opinion and just book surgery immediately. I hope this helps some people in making some decisions. I would NOT recommend Dr. Franklin. BTW, my allergist is correct....the allergens blew through and I am well. I have no blockage in either nasal passage and I feel good. The other ENT that I saw does think that I could benefit from a nasal surgery to improve my breathing but he did not think that it needed to be done unless I chose it. There were no threats, no disgust by my decision to not have it.... just a simple, if you decide you would like to have the surgery - please give me a call. That to me is a good Dr.!! First let me say that 1 star is way more than what is actually deserved in this situation - but...... I can not believe that this man even has patients. He was rude- DID NOT listen to one thing that was being said or asked!!!! He basically told my husband that "if you hear it - you hear it, if you don't - you don't, get over it!" My husband is not one that runs to doctors, as a matter of fact most of the time I have to drag him- so for him to agree that he needs to go in for the health concerns that he was having was a miracle, then for this "Doctor" to talk this way!!! I have never seen such poor bedside manner in my life! I have worked in the medical field for 20 years and have NEVER seen a doctor be so disrespectful to a patient in my entire life. There is NO way I will take my husband back there and there is NO WAY that I would ever recommend him to ANYONE!!!! It was a waste of time and money- not too mention NO DOCTOR who has taken an oath to HELP should ever be so arrogant that he cant sympathize with his patients and at least ACT like what they have to say is important or matters. As a recipient of a registered letter from Dr. Franklin, I feel that I should add my feelings about this doctor and his treatment of me. Dr. Franklin sends a letter to people essentially "firing" them as his patient with no warning and little provocation other than doing something he deems wrong. In my case I cancelled an appointment to get results of a test because I'd gotten it from the doctor who sent me to him. I saw no need to get the same result twice. Later, when I tried to get an appointment for follow-up on my benign tumor, I was told they'd call me back. They didn't. The next day I tried again, pleading my case to stay with Dr. Franklin. The receptionist said she would speak to him and have the Office Manager call me back. There was no call. Dr. Franklin might be a good doctor, but he and his office have much to improve as their practices border on cruelty. read more
