Scott Waste & Recycling Service, LLC. was one of the subcontractors that didn't get paid by a general contractor (Shane Salyers of Salyers & Sons) when he abandoned our renovation (and kept the money we paid). Scott Waste's owner, Scott, said that Shane's credit card was declined, but Scott continued to empty the dumpster several times (?) and run up the bill until Shane abandoned the project and we called to have the dumpster removed. Scott tried to convince us to pay $1050 and called us "pathetic" and threatened to leave the dumpster blocking our driveway indefinitely, but instead the next week his company came and dumped the contents of the full 15 yard dumpster on our driveway, in the rain! Not Cool. His service agreement was with Shane Salyers, and we already paid Shane a ridiculous amount of money, including $1800 for dumpsters. We have no idea whether Shane paid Scott. Based on the contents of the dumpster we doubt that it was emptied several times; maybe once. Instead of doing the right thing, cutting his losses, collecting the dumpster, and pursuing proper legal action against the contractor he had an agreement with (just like we have had to do), he took his frustration out on us. Shane should have paid Scott with the money that we gave him and we are sorry if he didn't, but if Scott isn't able to collect from Shane, he's lost less than $2K. We have lost many times that amount. Again, not cool. read more

DON'T RENT A BIN FROM THIS COMPANY. Rented a 20 yard bin for house hold items and received a bin that was beveled for concrete and building material. So we couldn't fit all the stuff into the bin. They told me that all I had to do was call that day and another bin would be delivered...well I did and the woman who answers the phone was totally rude. She said "no" and was going to pick up the bin the next day no matter what. I ask to speak to Scott and she have me a song and dance about him not being around and would not give me a date when is was coming back and that I would have to deal with her or no one else. read more

A little pricier than I wanted but the dumpster arrived on time, the quote and delivery was easy to coordinate through texts and email, and the gentleman picking it up early in the morning made a great effort to do it quietly. Called to have a last minute dumpster dropped off just after the holiday. I called Scott on a Saturday morning at 9 am, he delivered a dump by 10:30am! Then I called him on a Wednesday morning at 11 am for pick up and he had somebody out to pick it up that same day! I recently concluded the second business transaction with Scott and this time unfortunately in a absolutely disgusting way. I rented a 15 yards dumpster for clearing the front and back yard for paves and the scope was to load the excess dirt. At the end we did find a couple of tree roots needed to be removed and we placed them on top of the dirt. When the driver showed up to pickup the dumpster, he called the owner Scott that it was "trash" in the dumpster initiating a phone call from Scott to me. Scott was very upset and I hardly could make it stop so I could say something. He treated me like the trash he handles all day instead to propose a charge for a mixed load or an additional charge for the inconvenience "if any". In the end my credit card was charged $100 extra... but it was the owner attitude that it makes me detest this experience. Definitely not recommended!!! read more

We pay for 2 cans per week. We decided to throw some Christmas decorations away, so both cans were full. A little snow comes on Monday, our trash pick-up day and Scott gets all our neighbors trash and skips us "due to weather". I call them and ask for help. They said save your trash for next week. Where am I to put this trash? We can just stack it around the house and use it for furniture, right! If I forget to help a customer, I take care of them soon as I realize it. Delivery was done promptly and as promised. I called a couple days later and pick up was also done when scheduled . I researched many companies before choosing Scott Wast Services for dumpster rental. They beat all prices but best of all is their service! Scott told me on the phone that he would take measures to protect my driveway and he did! He put down his own boards before placing the dumpster, unlike most companies. He was the only one that I called that would do this: most said that you have to place your own boards. The dumpster that came was clean and white and in excellent condition. There are two dumpsters in my neighborhood right now from different companies and they are gray, rusted and dented! When I needed the dumpster longer than two weeks he said "No Problem!" that he would work with me as the dumpster was not full. This is a great company! read more

Scott and his team are amazing from start to finish. From Lisa in the office scheduling the delivery, drop off of the container in a timely fashion in the exact place i wanted it, to pick up when scheduled! Driver was very polite and professional.
