I have a very special little dog who…read moreneeds a lot of training and attention to help overcome her behavioral challenges and they not only understood what to do immediately, we've been making steady progress since we first met everyone. The convenient Wheaton location of the facility is great for daycare and they also allow for half-day daycare too. Very flexible scheduling. When I pick my dog up, I can tell that she's received personalized attention from the staff and that she has been well cared for. Often she's been able to work one-on-one with a staff member for nearly all of her half-day session. We also attend the group classes which are incredibly unique and let my dog build up practice interacting with other dogs in a way that reinforce new, good behaviors. My neighbors are thrilled with the progress almost as much as I am - my dog no longer automatically barks at everyone outside now and is able to make new friends. The in home training we did originally was incredibly valuable to get us started on the right foot. We need to do that again very soon! Is it the least expensive daycare and/or training in the area? No. But it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. When I leave my dog in the care of The Canine's Voice I know that she's going to be safe, loved, and will learn a few things while she's there. The classes are incredibly valuable too. The results speak for themselves.

I would never bring my dog here again. My dog was attacked by a group of dogs while in their care,…read moreand I have videos of the entire incident. There was only one attendant trying to manage approximately 15 dogs. When the attack happened, instead of using safer methods such as an air horn or water to separate the dogs, the attendant began throwing the dogs across the room one by one. This did not stop the attack, and the dogs continued going after my dog. My dog suffered more than 15 bite wounds, required stitches and veterinary treatment, and has been emotionally affected by the experience. He is not the same dog he was before the incident. What has been even more upsetting is how the facility handled the situation afterward. No one from the facility ever called to check on my dog or ask how he was doing. They refused to take responsibility for what happened and did not reimburse me for any of the veterinary expenses resulting from the attack. They also did not offer any reimbursement for the package I had purchased and left there. I trusted this facility to keep my dog safe, and that trust was completely broken. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this facility to anyone who loves their dog or expects their pet to be properly supervised and protected.
