Since the house was in the neighborhood I liked (Natomas), I walked in to see the house Dennis was showing. There was another real estate agent there with Dennis, and this agent made the initial contact with me, but Dennis was the person that made the effort to help me. Dennis was cordial and professional and allowed me to tour the house at my own pace. He (and the other agent) followed up with me when I was done. I filled out the typical contact information sheet for them, chatted a short while and left. I don't ever recall who the other agent was with Dennis because she did not leave an impression on me, however Dennis was the one that followed up with me a few days later. As mentioned, I wasn't in a hurry to buy anything, just keeping my eyes out on the market. I did tour other homes with other agents over the course of several months, but Dennis was the one agent that managed to keep in touch without being overly bothersome or pushy as salespeople in general can be. During this time, I started to appreciate Dennis' style and professionalism. He was presenting me with options and not be pushy or abandoning me without saying so due to my lack of action. Eventually I started to allow him to suggest homes for me on a more regular basis to visit. During several months, Dennis showed me (and my two sons) many homes, both existing and new construction homes from the Natomas area as well as other places in the greater Sacramento area. In fact, he presented me with many homes that I saw but was not impressed with that I would not have been surprised if Dennis started thinking I was just a "Lookie-Lou" (just looking at homes out of curiosity) and not a serious buyer.
