I paid upfront for the design and a plant budget because he came highly recommended by people I know. Instead of the planting design I paid for, I received several AI generated elevation printouts with random plants superimposed on a photo of my house. Only approximately 25% of the plant budget was spent and the project remains UNFINISHED because he walked off the job. I attempted to resolve the situation directly with him but he failed to show up for two scheduled meetings and has since ignored my calls, texts, and emails regarding a refund of the unused plant budget. I have now initiated legal action in the NJ Court to recover the money I am seeking. Please beware of Mike Waddell operating as "Plant Daddy". He passes himself off as full service business when in actuality he is a one man fraud. RUN from this guy.

Mike and his team worked with us to identify ways to upgrade and beautify our home. Then he tapped in to his roster of trusted specialist to do the work (masonry, gutters, etc.). But it doesn't stop there. Mike is on site every day to ensure that the work is done on time, as promised, and on budget. It's been a seamless and wonderful experience. Mike has the eye of a designer and the hands of a carpenter. Our home has never looked better! All I can say is book your job early! As the word gets out, the only difficulty with Mike and Plant Daddy will be getting in line with other fans of his business.

Called Arbor…read moreAce for a non-emergency possible tree removal for a pin oak tree that was over 3 stories high, in between power lines, 2 sheds, a shared fence, and was starting to lift the ground around it. They gave an estimate on when, how long the job would be, and what to expect. They were able to also address all of my questions i had. At the end, we decided it was best to remove the tree. The job was finished in 3 half days (its December, so days are short now), stored and cleaned up the all the branch debris. I was expecting to come home with tree twigs everywhere the day they took down the branches and chipped the wood. I thought i would have to do some light sweeping but was surprised to not find branch/tree debris in my backyard, front yard, drive way or street. They were swift, thorough, efficient! They were able to cut the tree and grind the stump with no damage to our shared fence, sheds, or bushes around the tree. They were very friendly and courteous. They called ahead, reviewed logistics with our schedule, street cleaning, and where to park their vehicles. They also contacted our neighbors ahead of time with permission to use their backyard and block the drive way. I would absolutely recommend them as they went above and beyond expectations.

He also put in a rock swale on the edge of the fence and as a result the hurricane hit in 2021 and we barely noticed. Our yard was stable and dry while neighbors on both sides were flooded and eroded. All of his staff were extremely professional and neat and there were no surprises on the costs. Everything is fully grown out and Danny has stopped by a few times to make sure everything was growing in nicely. They did the leaf cleanup for us this past season and left everything spotless. The town building inspector was impressed with how well they handled the slope. To the point of some of the other reviewers, yes, sometimes you have to wait if you want the best people but it's worth it.

I had someone with me who I had to double check with when they told me two days later, "you're new here, I know you don't understand, but us getting to you in two weeks is a gift!" Our quote for clean up was INSANE, they apparently just did what people do when they dont need the business and quoted me an astronomical price for yard clean up and weed removal. I went with someone else for this. The grass was taken care of by them and the quote they gave me in fact did not include tax! Why would the price not be clear from the start? It seems nothing about this company was clear honest or present. I am sure people love Danny but this entire experience was far from the warm welcoming that should hav been prompted. Lastly, I own a small business and if I treated people the way I was treated by this company I would not blame clients for canceling or not showing up!. I asked them not to return after 6 lawn cuts because to be frank even those for my "small area" were sub par.
