My family and I have been loyal customers here for over a decade. After this experience, that…read morerelationship is permanently over. Let me be clear: while it is absolutely their prerogative to manage prescriptions however they choose, their policies are blatantly inconvenient for patients and feel designed to force unnecessary return visits (and increase their coffers) rather than actually help people. Here's what happened. My teenage son (like many teenagers) occasionally loses or damages his glasses. We went to Costco to get a replacement, only to find out his prescription had expired just two days prior. Annoying, but what made it worse was discovering that this office had issued a one-year prescription; something that is highly unusual for a healthy teenager. Most providers issue two-year prescriptions in cases like this. So now we're stuck. We contacted them, explained the situation, and made a very reasonable request: a short extension so we could order glasses immediately, since my son is leaving town and needs them. A simple request for flexibility. The response? While the receptionist was polite, it was a flat no by the office manager and doctor. No consideration. No willingness to help. No attempt at even basic customer care. Again, yes, they can do that. But the bigger issue is that they seem to set patients up for this exact situation by issuing unusually short prescriptions in the first place. It's hard not to see this as a tactic to drive more appointments rather than serve patients. To add insult to injury, their prices are already on the higher side. Normally, you might tolerate that for great service, but that clearly isn't what you'll get here. If you value flexibility, fairness, or even basic understanding as a customer, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. We certainly will, and I hope you save yourself the headache and avoid them!

I made the trip out to Vision Source Happy Valley looking for something better than my last…read moreexperience, and I'm glad I did. From the moment I walked in, the whole place just felt dialed in professional, friendly, and actually focused on helping you, not rushing you through. Dr. Chen was excellent. Took the time, explained things clearly, and made sure my prescription and overall eye care were handled right. You can tell when someone knows their craft and actually cares he checks both boxes. The technician who ran the tests was also top-notch kind, patient, and made the process smooth without making it feel clinical or cold. But I've gotta give a double shout-out to Elizabeth. She went above and beyond. I told her I needed help picking frames, and she didn't just point me to a wall she pulled a wide selection, walked me through options, and helped me actually decide. Then she broke down my plan in a way that made sense, no confusion, no pressure. What really stood out? She even adjusted an old pair of glasses I brought in something small, but it showed real customer care. That extra effort is what separates a good experience from a great one. I came up here from West Linn just hoping for better service and I found it. Happy Valley delivered.

My annual visit to my eye doctor found a shadow on my retina. I went into have additional test performed. I have never been through a battery of test like I experienced here. They went from test to test without any issues. We started with a plan vision test, to numbing for dilation, pictures and additional test to the ultrasound. Before leaving I was given a full diagnostic of my problem with instructions for care. If you're ever in need of eye care, make sure to keep Retina Northwest in mind.

He got on the phone with the doctor at Retina Northwest and they literally fit me into their busy schedule. While may wait time at intervals was lengthy, every staff member in the Vancouver office was super kind. My doctor was Dr. Tlucek and he felt so down to earth and nice. He did a variety of tests of the eyes/retina allowing me moments to reset when the light in my eyes just could not be tolerated any longer. Once diagnosis was made he gave me my choices and explained procedure - I opted to get procedure done then and there because I figure we only have one set of eyes and it wasn't something that I wanted to wait around and see if things got worse. Procedure only took a minute or two - so fast. I was then scheduled for a follow up and my cataract doctor was getting faxed the results. I had a choice of offices to choose from for the follow up with Dr. Tlucek. I give the worth and atmosphere created by staff a two thumbs up.

When I discovered that I needed cataract surgery, my regular eye doctor referred me to another…read moreclinic, but after a couple of visits there, I didn't feel comfortable moving forward with them. Then, I was referred to this doctor from an acquaintance of a friend of mine. So glad I was directed to Dr. Gregg! He is very knowledgeable, skilled and experienced. He mentioned that he has already performed over 5,000 eye procedures, which is very impressive! He is able to diagnose with confidence, has a competent staff who assist him, and I always felt that I was in kind-hearted hands. Kayla is very professional, knowledgeable, and was able to answer all my questions before and after the surgeries. My two procedures were scheduled a month apart, with follow ups to monitor the healing process. The recovery went smoothly, with minimal inconvenience or discomfort. The difference in my vision is amazing, and I'm truly grateful to be able to see this clearly again. If you need cataract surgery, I would highly recommend Dr. Patrick Gregg! He is a true Rock Star!

I accompanied my 85-year-old mother to her 4:00 p.m. appointment with Dr. Gregg -- she's been a…read morepatient at this clinic for several years, but this was my first time going in with her. She had previously mentioned that the office didn't feel very warm or welcoming, and unfortunately, my experience today confirmed that concern. While the appointment itself was adequate, we were quite surprised and disappointed by what happened at the end. After her 4:00 appointment -- which your office scheduled -- we asked to look at new glasses, as she had just received a new prescription. The receptionist informed us that we would need to make a separate appointment because she was leaving in three minutes. It was 4:57 p.m. I work in retail myself, and I cannot imagine telling a customer I couldn't help them because I was about to get off shift -- especially when they had an appointment at 4:00 and were simply trying to make a purchase. What was most concerning was that the receptionist said she couldn't assist us because her boss doesn't want to pay overtime. That's not just inconvenient -- it sends a clear message that your office prioritizes payroll policies over patient care. My elderly mother now has to come back a second time for something that should have been a natural next step in today's visit. It's not only an inconvenience; it also feels dismissive of her time and her needs. I hope you'll take this feedback seriously. At the very least, it seems reasonable to expect a bit more flexibility, compassion, and accommodation -- especially when dealing with elderly patients who already made the effort to come in for an appointment
