One star too many... HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! They're not accredited by the BBB and I should've known better than to call... read on.
Scott Exterminating Co. ("SECo) was the fourth business I called on October 27, 2014 inquiring about their pest control services. I HAVE FLEAS IN MY HOME AND I NEEDED HELP and so I needed to get an overview of the services offered, contract terms, and base rates.
When I called SECo. I was greeted with a warm "thank you for calling ..." script. The lady on the other end seemed pleasant. I started off with my simple inquiries about their service, asking whether they provide flea services and etc. She explained yes but seemed eager to get my name and number. I explained that I am more interested in learning about what they have to offer before I give her any of my information (APPARENTLY THIS MADE HER UPSET). While speaking with her on the phone, I was on my computer typing various notes of information that she had given me. She immediately accused me of being some sort of 'fraud' or 'hacker' trying to get information on her company. Confused and annoyed (I just want to get the fleas out my house) ... I felt obligated to "defend" myself and explain that I am shopping around. I even gave her a list of the other companies that I called and got information from. Somehow, the "Customer Service Rep" made me, the potential customer, feel like a predator - amazing!
Once I came to my senses and realized that I was being attacked - I went into a true defense mode and told her a few choice words, my favorites were "go fuck yourself". Eventually I disconnected the call and called back Allgood Pest Solutions (they were my first choice anyway). Happily ever after, right? NOT!
The SECo Customer Service Representative not only attacked me when I called her as a potential customer, but she proceeded to call my phone several times thereafter. She would call and hang up on me. She would call and not leave a message. TWICE I advised her to stop calling my phone and she ignored me and continues (yes, continues with an 's').
I called to speak with a Manager on October 28, 2014. Guess who answered the phone, and guess who identified themselves as the Manager? Yep, the same Customer Service Representative that attacked me. I told her AGAIN, this morning - 10/28/14 - to stop calling my phone (I had a missed call at 7:41 AM).
One star too many ... this business shouldn't be in business. I'm a resident of the Hapeville Community. I'll be sharing my distress with neighbors as well. It's your choice... I just wanted to share my very recent and seemingly ongoing experiences. read more
