I don't ever write bad reviews, because I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt and…read morebelieve everyone has bad days. However, I am absolutely astonished at the lack of compassion, professionalism and tact I encountered at this clinic. I have had a bonded retainer on my upper teeth for over twenty years, with zero problems. The reason I have had this bonded retainer is because my two front teeth are loose, so this is an attempt to keep them stable as long as possible. This bonded retainer recently broke, and needed to be repaired, within days there was a space between my teeth due to the breaking of the retainer. I met with the doctor and care coordinator to discuss what my options were and explained I was fully willing to pay whatever/do whatever was needed to fill the space in order to perfect my smile again and ultimately have a new bonded retainer placed. It was VERY obvious the doctor was not interested in helping me because I needed a small repair, and not $8000 braces. The doctor explained that he was unwilling to repair the bonded retainer and that I will just have to wear a clear retainer all day everyday. Obviously wearing a retainer that barely allows me to talk normal 24/7 is not an option. I explained this to the doctor and he said I should just let my teeth move to where they move to. I also explained that I am unable to wear the clear retainer all of the time due to the swelling and sores I get in my mouth from my lupus- he shrugged his shoulders. I went on to explain that I was well aware that I was going to eventually need implants on my front two teeth, and I would much rather live comfortably with my real teeth for 8 years, versus possibly maintain the integrity of the teeth for longer if I let them go crooked. I am unable to even bite a piece of toast due to my tooth being loose, and it hurts terribly, so none of this made any sense to me. The doctors logic.... I don't want to bond your teeth because the other teeth will be hitting a tooth that's not moving and that could accelerate losing your front teeth/needing implants. Oh! Ok.... So let's let me live miserably, thinking about my front teeth continually instead..... but don't forget they were bonded this way for 20+ years without a single issue. More "logic" let's let your tooth move to where it moves to- and then pull it back into place every night when you put your retainer in... so your tooth gets even more loose from being moved constantly and this will surely make it fall out sooner too. Great, thanks doc! I will live in pain, deal with a level of fear everyday, inconvenience with no ability to bite into anything and a very crooked smile because "my teeth may not last as long" aka I'm not spending $8000 with you. The best part.... As he exited the room quickly with zero compassion.... He told me he was "sure another orthodontist would probably do what I was asking for." Integrity, ethics and your promises to help people as a doctor clearly goes out the window when you anticipate a low profit patient. I will absolutely be spreading the word to make sure no one else's level of care is based on the amount of money they are going to put in your pocket.

This place was worse than terrible. The Orthodontist here is incompetent, and he uses a wide array…read moreof extremely invasive 'treatments' to 'correct' teeth. I can't speak for others, but my experience here was horrible. They made me do an unnecessary removal of 4 of my molars. Logically you would think that I would be able to keep them, but not according to Dr. Mark. He also put a bar over the roof of my mouth that prevented me from speaking normally and eating food. That was quickly removed. And after 2 years of below par treatment, I now have a permanently incorrect bite, meaning my teeth don't shut all the way. If this place is the only location near you that does orthodontic work, you are better off just not getting braces.

So I'm gonna start off by saying I had my braces done by them years ago (While I was a minor) just…read moregot them removed and the teeth are great and all but their staff really needs to be checked. The doctor is rude dr. ferehsti however you spell it. The blonde lady in the front that does calls and check Ins, I would not recommend. They will schedule you and then when you come in for the appointment, they will act like they know nothing about your appointment and waste your time and not even bother to email or call you about the change. That lady needs to be fired for not being on top of their stuff. its been way more than 5 times that this happened and when i got my 3-D impressions for my retainers they told me it would be done within 5 to 7 days, but never called me. 12 days and I had to bother the lady And ask if my retainers are done. it's common sense that if retainers are in, Call patient so they know to come in asap. Very unprofessional and they even waste your time (they would schedule an appointment and then they would change it not letting anybody know until you come to your appointment and waste gas and your time coming out of work.) not even a sorry or nothing. Don't take your kids here and don't come here for your teeth. I'd pay someone else

My daughter had a cavity filled here about a year ago. She'd been having pain in the area off and…read moreon ever since, but due to going to graduate school in a different state she had just been dealing with it conservatively with Ibuprofen. Back home now, she went to a different dentist who was surprised by how badly the filling was done. In fact, her cavity is now worse than it was originally because of the filling. She may need a root canal now. The dentist she saw at TCD was very nice, but apparently not too good at fillings. Please stay away from this business, We don't want anyone else to go through this.
