Don't get me wrong, I had received amazing quality care from the dental hygienist, Kou Vang!…read more However, my last visit with Jacob Meyer confused me profoundly. Let me explain. Everything went well but unfortunately it came to a halt at the end. Of course, I expected to pay for the services provided as I took out my card for payment. However, I was told by not only Dr. Meyer but the new front desk staffs that it was all covered due to a "point system" that they had. Apparently, they said I had enough "points" to cover the normal cleaning service I had done that day. Confused, I asked and repeated back that the service is all covered via their "point system". Rushingly, they all basically replied yes with a really odd blank stare and persisted me to leave as everything was taken care of. I thought it was weird but I trusted them. It's been half a year later and I get a call from them telling me I have a balance due from that very day. I always thought about it and felt like that odd interaction would chase me down the road. Today, I called a recent hire explain my balance in a straightforward, polite manner. What she had explain all made sense, as I was kept up to date with my insurance coverages. She confirmed that there was no such thing as point systems and she apologized for them! I have so much pity for the sweet lady. I hope whatever bad staff(s) that are present doesn't influence these new employees. Humans who take advantage of other's naivety are the worse. Sad to say, but I will not continue dental care from here anymore. Had it been simpler and I was able to pay for the services without getting bamboozled, I would've still continued. Might I also add that Mr. Meyer will shove more dental services down your throat when he can.

Back home now, she went to a different dentist who was surprised by how badly the filling was done. In fact, her cavity is now worse than it was originally because of the filling. She may need a root canal now. The dentist she saw at TCD was very nice, but apparently not too good at fillings. Please stay away from this business, We don't want anyone else to go through this.

After she placed the tourniquet, though loopy from nitrous oxide, I was anticipating the needle used to administer the anesthetic. She did not let me know what she was doing, so I asked if she was going to poke me, and she didn't explicitly state what she would be doing and it scared me. Overall the experience was okay, being that I was under general anesthesia, however I'm terrified for future procedures at this practice, if need be :(

I have been going to the office for decades and the service is lackluster for the amount you pay…read more The follow up on pre-authorized procedures that have been declined is none existent until you have had the procedure and are paying (which is too late to decide if paying out of pocket is what you want to do). No medical office should assume the patient has received the notification of declined serve. If they claim to dispute the procedure with the insurance company they never follow up. I have also been laid off twice over my career and put on medical assistance insurance for a short time - both times I was told they do not accept medical assistance insurance. I have moved and will no longer be driving 30 min to go to this clinic and will be finding a new dental provider outside of the Park Dental providers. They need to do better!

This clinic doesn't do any of that, they just want your money. Will never come back, I'm sure they have enough business with other victims though.

I was rushed through my x-rays as if I was not paying for the service. After my x-rays and exam, the dental hygienist rushed through my gum measurements making sure to be forceful enough to make my gums bleed. In the end, I was not allowed to get a cleaning. Instead I was told that I needed invisalign (I am blessed with some of the straightest teeth possible), a replacement for a tooth far back in my mouth and root planing and scaling. I told them I only wanted root planing and scaling and they told me it would be $3,000+ for the service and maintenance. They then tried to pressure me to schedule the service. When asked why I couldn't just get a cleaning, they stated "it would be unethical" to clean my teeth without completing the root planing and scaling prior. I asked for a print out of the services they said I needed and promptly left. I had insurance so I was wondering why it only covered $50. Three months later, I started a new job and therefore started a new dental policy. This time I went to Park Dental in Coon Rapids and received a much better service overall. Not only was the facility immaculately clean, but after thorough, unrushed x-ray and exams, they cleaned my teeth without hesitation. No other service was recommended but regular cleanings. ASPEN IS A SCAM! I should have ran when I heard other customers complaining about their bill in the lobby before my appointment. BUYER BEWARE, and get a second opinion on anything they recommend.
