I was basically told nothing was wrong with me, which is hilarious because I have a affirmed diagnosis, I've been in treatment for 2 years. This treatment started after a month stay in an institution and psych ward visit after psych ward visit years prior to my stay at the institution. Despite explaining all of this and that my episodes are super intense and only happen when I'm in a triggering setting, I was basically told to breathe for 2 minutes a day and given a movie recommendation. Then when I had to reschedule my appointment because of work I tried online as he directed and it didn't work. So I reached out to him, never received a call back. Texted him and he finally responded, sending me the same internet link that didn't work in the first place. I made him aware of this and I was told to try again. When I made him aware that that helped nothing, I received no text back and no attempt at a rescheduling. I'm not looking for a friend, but man I'd like if my therapist could at least RECIPROCATE the scheduling process. I mean he must have a decent clientele if he's not worried about future appointments, I don't know WHO is funding this guy, but after the few months I saw him I can't see how anyone would stay. It definitely sucked for me because I didn't have a therapist for three weeks when I REALLY needed one, and either he and or Sutter don't care that their patients are left in the lurch in situations like this. But, when I was sick and needed to cancel an appointment, I was severely punished. He cancelled all my future online appointments commanding that I could only see him in person. Due to my working schedule, I wasn't able to make an in-person appt for four weeks, leaving me again without a therapist for over a month. As well, he would not let me schedule more than one appt at a time. Before canceling the appt, I had called his office to ask if there would be any repercussions to my canceling and was told no, nothing would happen to me. Lies, deceit, and ego seem to be how he and his office conduct business.

My Dad kept going to him and complaining of back and leg pain, but Dr. Skowron would just tell him that he had arthritis and give him large amounts of narcotics. Over the course of a couple of years, my Dad kept getting worse and finally was unable to walk, at which time I took him to the E.R. At the E.R. it was discovered that my Dad had terminal cancer that had spread to his spine and both femurs, and had been in those areas of the body for quite some time, eating away over half of the bone by the time they found it. He passed away two months later. If this Doctor had taken the time to investigate fully my Dad's back and leg pain, I am pretty confident that his cancer would have been caught years earlier. My Dad was only 59 years old, always kept up with annual exams and blood work, and had visited Doctor Skowron the week before he was diagnosed with cancer, only to be told that his extreme pain was from "arthritis" and given a prescription for 300 Vicodin. As a family, we plan to do what we can to protect future patients from this Doctor's negligence and omissions in care. I realize that this Doctor can pay to have this review removed, but until then, please avoid him.

This physician is very thorough in every respect, ordering necessary tests, conversing and questioning his patients regarding their medical concerns. Dr skowron has perfect bedside manner and spends as much time with his patients as needed. He is a very caring and nurturing physician. Some patients are not always forthright with their physician and perhaps that is what happened with the previous bloggers father. This is in no way the physicians fault. I have known this physician quite awhile now and I am a patient. After feeling uncared for by my previous physician I changed to him as I had already known his excellent care for his patients. Having worked in the medical profession myself, I can truly say he is an outstanding physician.

I started noticing changes around 48; my moods were off - patience was fragile which is not like me; eventually, terrible hot flashes started, and pretty much everything else started going sideways: mental fog, exhaustion, terrible sleep, and absolutely zero libido. I tried everything to find relief, the natural remedies, the over the counters, relaxation audio, yoga, massage.. omg what haven't I tried. I waited longer, did more reading and research and finally decided I had to do something - I was tired of feeling.. tired. Tired of whatever was causing me to feel definitely not me. Friends who are under his care for HRT recommended I talk with him. I booked my appointment with Dr. McMillan's office and anxiously awaited my consultation appointment. Dr. McMillen is not new to HRT, in fact he is board certified and has been practicing HRT for over 7 years. I sat down with him and had a long discussion about my health and concerns. I don't think I've ever sat down with a doctor and talked about what was going on with me, what I was looking to do to such length. So after a lengthy discussion about, well, me, what HRT is today, how it works, and what is possible, I was eager to move to step 2. We scheduled a blood draw and full body scan to get into what's going on inside - and this is not a standard blood draw; it's like looking at the roadmap of what's going on; it was incredibly fascinating, as well as seeing where I can improve. (As a fitness / health-minded person, it was data central to my geek heart). My "pellet" ingredients were manufactured based on this report and how we wanted to approach treatment, ease in, or full board, and I anxiously awaited my next appointment to get them. I was a bit nervous when I went back; I didn't know what to expect... and honestly, the local anesthetic was more "scary than the procedure itself. But, now that I've had my second, it was a piece of cake. The incision itself is very, very small, covered with a surgical strip and then another water proof bandage over. Very discret and high enough you don't have to worry about "sitting". No discomfort, no pain. I can't believe I waited this long to do this. So you say, get to what happened! I kept looking at the calendar, ok, when's it going to happen, what am I going to feel? Is my libido going to come back... and all the other parts dissipate like... let's just get real, discomfort....which was the worst of all things. A few weeks in I found out yet, this solved the problem. EVERYTHING was working as it used to! Here is a list of all the things that have come back: Libido and no discomfort (I think you get the picture here) Sleep - omg sleep is next level, in fact, I can't wait to go to bed because the sleep is incredible Focus - I'm no longer foggy, forgetful, and struggle to keep my thoughts straight. Fitness - decreasing body fat and increasing muscle definition again - I was struggling to keep what I had with the declining hormone levels. General mood/energy - I felt like a frickin' tiger about 3/4 of the way through the first three months (and before your next pellet session) in which the hormones start naturally tapering, and each upcoming load generally increases baseline, so you begin to keep a higher base level. I genuinely feel Dr. McMillan is the perfect choice based on his level of genuine care and interest, his experience, and his credentials. And it's not just for women... men go through it too, and they're just as many seeking relief; it's ok to take charge of your health to feel good. His reason for what inspired him to step into this field is heartfelt in wanting others not to live our "older years" unnecessarily dwindling. As medicine and technology increase our living span, it only makes sense to live it better and the best you can. Trust me, you won't regret it!
