I'm so angry. One star is too many…read more I was a child, I was looking for someone to listen to me. You never even gave me a chance. You cared about my mother's opinion of me, rather than my experiences. LINDA IS AN ABUSER. You traumatized me, my older sister, and my younger brother by not only being complacent, but fueling her abuse. You never gave me a chance. You gave me medication that made me worse, you didn't listen, you gave me booster, and watched as I gained 100 pounds in a YEAR. You never gave me a chance, I gave you FOUR YEARS of chances. I stopped seeing you, I left that house. And you know what? I'm giving myself the chance you never gave me. Not Breanna. My name was Breena. I doubt you'll remember me by the name I told you to use. You are incompetent, you didn't write a referral for surgery when I did the reasearch and gave you instructions, regulations to look into, to help. You need to change your field. You need to quit. You need to retire. You need to do everything to ensure you'll never see a patient again. I pity the people in your care, and I can only hope they can find a better provider. One who will listen.

I've been with this doctor for some years now in my teens and now in early adulthood. I always…read moreregretted an appointment with Dr Brar and hoping my mom could help me communicate my feelings to the doctor. Obviously that wouldn't work because I'm the one being treated and I need to express myself to get the help I need. But I can definitely tell you with confidence that I am extremely uncomfortable and insecure speaking with Dr Brar every appointment even if I'm trying my best to speak. Clearly in this field of work, you need to be a person that's easy to express personal extreme feelings to and Dr Brar is exactly who WOULD NOT fill in that position. She is extremely cold and inconsiderate. Whether it's me or my mom speaking, she cuts us off to get her words on the table. Dr Brar has rolled eyes and debated rather than discuss with us on treatment. I felt I was being ignored and I knew inside I needed more help than what I was taking. I ended up faxing to the office because I felt I could not speak to Dr. Brar. In her eyes, all I needed to do was exercise and work but I'm barely capable of living a normal life. It took me as far as being hospitalized for doctors to see how much help I needed, and even those doctors who didn't know me for years like Dr. Brar did were way more aware, considerate, and kind towards me. I was only there for 5 days meanwhile I've been with Dr Brar for almost 3 years now. Expect getting cut off, smart remarks, and a cold attitude if you schedule with Dr Brar. Definitely would not recommend, rather, I tell you not to schedule with her. I'm in search for another doctor in hopes I get better care.

I was a patient off and on from 2008-18 (I moved out of state; still saw him through 2020,…read moreactually). I was referred to him by a colleague who stopped taking my insurance and of all the psychiatrists I've had Gib is the best. It feels weird reviewing a medical professional on Yelp, and going through other reviews I can definitely see where some of the criticisms are coming from. He's definitely never on time, so make sure you're not trying to squeeze in a quick appointment. No, like if you have a 2pm appointment and were hoping to be out of there by 2:30pm, give yourself until 3 or even later. On the flip side, part of why he was always late was that he certainly will help in a crisis if necessary. I do recall that for a period I wasn't seeing him and tried to get back in, part of his initial reluctance to accept me again as a patient was because of an insurance issue; I owed him money that the insurance company was supposed to pay, but didn't find out. So, poor communication could be a problem. I still feel bad about it and glad we made it work out. I remember in the early days in 2008 when he didn't have a secretary and had his tiny little office. He definitely worked hard and built up a good clientele. Linda is a great secretary and her sometimes sub (I forget her name) was also really awesome. There definitely are some sort of questionable things; if memory serves, he worked for Kaiser before independent practice and complained about their McCorporate approach to healthcare and profit-focus. Gib does value patients, but as an independent contractor, he does also need to worry about that aspect. He was amazing at providing samples when I went through an insurance gap though. I didn't like the supplements he sold, as they never really did anything. Nonetheless, he provided good feedback and helped find a medical cocktail that still works. There were a couple of instances of important decisions where he was the only dissenting voice (family, friends, therapist, other medical providers all agreed) and while he never said he was wrong, he did admit to being surprised at how great everything turned off. He could be very encouraging, but also at times he felt dismissive. He works hard and will answer questions.

This drastically changed and I felt like I must leave an updated review. After covid, he changed…read moreas a doctor. I stopped seeing him.
