My wife left an honest review of her experience with Dr. Black a couple of weeks ago. (Kara M…read more below) Every single appointment with Dr. Black left my wife distressed and hurt. I have been shocked by the inappropriate and careless things this woman has said to my wife at her appointments. She invalidated my wife's feelings. "I don't see why you are depressed." She continuously talked over my wife when she tried to share about her mental health. When she heard about my father's BPII diagnosis, life struggles, and eventual suicide she said: "I'm surprised he waited that long" and "When you hear about that you don't even feel sorry for them" This woman is supposed to provide a trusted, safe space for people seeking help with sensitive issues. She has repeatedly shown she is incapable of providing this space for people. When my wife decided to stop seeing her we thought we were rid of this awful woman. But no. When she saw Kara's review she called to confront and gaslight her. "I never said those things." And "That's not what I meant" I am absolutely dumbfounded by this woman's behavior. Calling your mental health patient to bully and harass them for a Yelp review??? Bottom line. Audria Black is a danger to Memphis. I am currently drafting a letter of complaint to the Tennessee Board of Examiners in Psychology as well as filing a complaint with the Tennessee Department of Health against Dr. Black. This woman needs to be held accountable for her behavior.

I've tried for several business to reach out to the office, but there is no one for me to talk…read morewith. When I call the number for appointment or anything the wait time is long, but the music is good. The phone will eventually disconnect and I have had to call back to start the wait time over. It would help if you could add your fax number, address, etc. to the voice mail you want people to leave a message on. The one time the music ended there was a recording to say that the voice mail box that I was trying to reach was full. HELP, I just want the fax to coordinate care for a mutual patient/client.

Dr Fu charged for days my child was at Lakeside that he didn't take the time to even see my child…read more He told my child that it was 'a holiday' so he couldn't meet with him and yet we still have a charge on our insurance for that day. Another day he did not meet with my child we also have an insurance charge. He also does not like to treat lgbtq+ individuals. He purposefully kept my child for the exact amount of days the insurance would pay for... nothing more and certainly nothing less even though my child was better. This person is scamming the insurance company and probably the state. He does not put the wellbeing of the patient first, he only sees dollar signs and money and making sure he gets every dollar the insurance will approve. He should have his license to practice taken away and I will certainly be making a complaint to the state board! He was very dismissive of my child's questions and didn't even discuss a medication change that he prescribed which is terrible! He's just a Dr. doing the very minimum so he can get paid, he has no real concern or regard for the patients in his care. I would avoid using this Dr at all costs.

I have been in and out of therapy since age 5 with multiple Psychologists but never have I received such empathy. She will make you comfortable enough to open up about anything, almost as though you are speaking to your best friend. I have Medicare and I have found it very hard to find any competent Dr. who takes my insurance. I find this a blessing as I started seeing her when I had United Healthcare. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking any kind of emotional health issues or simply life coaching which she is wonderful with as well. She also referred me to my current Psychiatrist whom I have been seeing regularly for 13 years as well. There is nothing she will do in order to make her clients feel like they are top priority, which is a big self esteem booster. She also treats children and adolescents. It seems that no one is unimportant in her eyes which goes a long way especially if you suffer from trust and abandonment issues. I would and will continue to see her as long as she is in practice. There is no reason to hurt or keep things stuffed inside when there is someone who genuinely cares about all her clients. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your help Dr. Bishop (if you see this haha)

I find it annoying and somewhat maddening. Haven't been back for awhile, and don't think I will be going back to her. I need to find a better fit.

My experience with them was exceptional and far surpassed my expectations. Making the decision to seek their help was one of the best choices I've made in selecting my healthcare team. The fact that my family and friends have noticed changes in my behavior and actions demonstrates their expertise and effectiveness. I've never encountered a facility where so many therapists, the doctor, nurse, and administrative staff work seamlessly as a cohesive team. Therefore, if you're committed to making positive changes and gaining control over the issues I mentioned, this organized team of professionals can assist you in achieving your goals. Thank me later!

They even have weekend and daytime availability, which is super convenient. Let me tell you, JaPriest is absolutely excellent! He's my therapist and one of the best I've ever had. He treats you with kindness, respect, and absolutely no judgment. His advice is top-notch, and after a session with him, I always leave feeling better than when I came in. Plus, he's the group leader during our outpatient sessions and has a great style that I really like. He even jokes around with us, which makes the atmosphere more relaxed. Speaking of the group, I have nothing bad to say about it personally. I was scared at first, thinking I would do terrible or that people would judge me. But they have some rules in place, like not passing judgment on anyone and not apologizing when it's not your fault and as a group they've helped me become a much less of a people pleaser and be a person whose a lot more assertive in things and confident they've also taught me my worth as a human is way more than what I thought it was going in I had the worst confidence and through soley this out patient group at the transformation center I really do feel I've made a huge huge transformation. It's thanks to Ja Priest and the group and his encouraging words that I've learned not to blame myself for things that aren't my fault. That's something I've never been told by a previous therapist. JaPriest always finds a way to fit me into his schedule. He's really accommodating and makes sure I get the support I need. Overall, The Transformation Center has been a game-changer for me, and I highly recommend it!
