I have Medicare and I have found it very hard to find any competent Dr. who takes my insurance. I find this a blessing as I started seeing her when I had United Healthcare. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking any kind of emotional health issues or simply life coaching which she is wonderful with as well. She also referred me to my current Psychiatrist whom I have been seeing regularly for 13 years as well. There is nothing she will do in order to make her clients feel like they are top priority, which is a big self esteem booster. She also treats children and adolescents. I have names, dated, times, issues with the pharmacy, and problems with the entire time staff. I was there and Lakeside in 2018. I already suffer with PTSD but what happened to me there made my PTSD. Obviously since I am still traumatized. It may have been 2018 but I am still affected buy the memories and nightmares. Once I pull my notes and journal together, I will write more on another review. My 1 star rating is based on my own experience with psychiatrists and my observations of Melissa's care with my mom over the last 2 years. About 16 months ago, my mom's anxiety really began to increase. The change in her mental, emotional and physical state was dramatic. My mom recognized it and the change was truly debilitating. Melissa has prescribed several different meds for my mom. BUT 1) why didn't Melissa schedule monthly appointments with my mom to see how she was doing. Much with prescribing meds is trial and error. 2) why didn't Melissa see my mom more frequently to help her, to diagnose her, to medicate her. She met with my mom, she observed my mom and she talked with my dad, my sister and me. My parents feel belittled and dismissed. They feel hopeless. Not sure why this place hasn't been rated higher…read more However!!! I AM SOOOO HAPPY THAT I STARTED COMING HERE! The people here are absolutely wonderful and actually care BEYOND the call of duty. I've been coming here for about 6 months, seeing one of their therapists and a psychiatrist. They have both been monumental and crucial puzzle pieces on my route to better mental health. I'm a disabled veteran, and like so many of us, I suffer from a bunch of things lol. I've NEVER had consistent health care providers, in the 10+ years that I've been dealing with my issues. Whether it has been the VA dropping the ball, or that I did not like to talk to the people who they assigned. Through the grace of GOD, I was able to have the VA send me "out in the city" to have another mental health provider. And what a great decision it was! I've been seeing them for about six months now.. and I can finally, for the first time ever... BREATHE! I feel like I've been holding my breath under water for years! And through the grace of GOD and the grace of these beautiful people.. I finally see a way forward. You don't have to do it alone or rely on medications solely. Give them a try! Go elsewhere. Original post over 3 years ago: I cannot say enough wonderful things about the care I have received from Allyson for nearly a decade. She has been willing to bend over backwards to make sure my needs are met. She listens to me and is an expert at adjusting meds to make sure I am doing the best I can. If an appointment happens to be rescheduled I know Allyson will get me in within a timely manner and make sure I have refills on all my medications. If I need anything I know to call the office and make my needs known. If I need to leave a message, my calls are always returned promptly. I have been so pleased with Allyson that my two boys have also seen her for a number of years. I appreciate the care she gives to our entire family!
