Staff is very nice! I have never had to wait too long past my scheduled appt time. I think the longest was 30 min, but my appts are not until after 5:30pm. I had very bad acne. I was given two medications and a prescription night-time cream (I also could use regular oxy cleanser so I didn't have to spend $$$) and the results are stunning! Having suffered from acne my entire adult life I tried everything, and finally one day I decided to see someone. I have been a patient here for 5 months and my skin has not looked this good since high school!!! My last visit they showed me the pictures they took at my first appt and I almost cried, if I hadn't know the pictures were mine I would have thought it was someone else. I really enjoy the products they have me use. I am happy with the quality and cost of the products/prescriptions. I go every 3 weeks to have Janette treat any break outs I may have, and she has taken the time to talk to me every appt to find out if I have any concerns, questions, and even has some samples of different cleansers and moisturizers. Will find new doc. Dr. Karlene is good but only works 1/2 day a week now. I've been seeing PA's for over a year now. Office staff is not helpful at all. Was told at my app't my insurance was inactive & they refused to call insurance (but it was active) so I had to leave which was a wasted trip for me. Called them to say it is active and went around & around with them. They said billing says my insurance won't pay them. My insurance said billing was angry when they called them to say yes they pay. Always very long wait times. Wrong med ordered for me. Whatever pharmacy or insurance tells me about contacting them the office tells me the opposite. read more

First off - let me start off by saying I never met once Dr. Karlene. I've been to this place 4 times just this YEAR, each time I waited at least an hour to be seen except for one time (which was 45 minutes). The first time I was seen, I waited OVER an hour just to be called back. My appointment time was 4:30 -- I didn't leave that office until 7pm and they close at 6!!! I wasn't called back until almost 6pm. The scheduling is horrible. I specifically asked them what appt time is best for not having to wait hours to be seen.. I was told after lunch at 1... I was just there yesterday for an appointment at 1:15 -- wasn't called back till after 2 and the lobby was full of about 8 other people waiting. Let's not forget the sewage smell from the plumbing that happened as well while I was there. It smelled like ripped ASS! I had to spray my perfume before an PA assistant came out with Febreeze and explained what was going on - it was their sinks.. gross.. I had 2 tests for fungus and which the assistant could "swear on her life it's fungus" and yet the test came back as "trauma and shoes"???? That makes NO sense. I work from home.. I barely wear shoes... then they did a biopsy on me in which came back "allergies" -- yet they couldn't explain what I'm allergic too or why I'm not getting any better and I've seen them 4 times now. Then they had the nerve to ask me to call when another "bite" comes up, don't itch it, and they'd do another biopsy. For what? A no answer result? I don't need to be cut open and sewed again for no answers. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. The PAs do not know what they are doing. I'm going back to my old dermatologist, it's a drive but it's worth it. The only positive review I have is for the assistant - she's blonde and young. She did the MOST there. He is my mother's Dr. At the WARREN OFFICE There are other doctors at the practice, but Dr Karlene is hers. He caught her melanoma two different times. She could have died if not. It's what Bob Marley died from as it is an aggressive tumor. I've never had a problem with him seeing g her, and he even looked at my son's mole when I was worried at the same appointment. He's never rushed us, and he's always taken 10 to 15 minutes if he's just checking in on my mom and much longer if he has to do her yearly body check. The nurse has given me Botox. I was a fan of hers, but I'm not (for me) any longer. However, she treats my mom like gold. My mom is in her 80s we've been seeing him for 20+ years I definitely recommend this place for your dermatology needs. The other stuff is way too expensive, and the nurse gets hers free she informed me, and I didn't like the feeling I was paying more so she could get hers free. The Warren Location. They over book their day and expect patients to wait in the lobby for an hour as if they have no lives but to wait to be called on like beatle juice. The front desk ladies have the ugliest attitude and are unpleasant to watch. There also is a stank in the office from the un-professionalism vibe they give out. read more

Esthetically this is a beautiful office. My office visit was not so pleasant the staff was unwelcoming at best. The physicians assistant that I saw had a cold and incompetent bedside manor. I've never felt the need to write a review before- let alone a negative one. But I have never been so upset with a dr in my life. I have been dealing with an ongoing, spreading skin rash. And since I have had TWO autoimmune skin diseases in the past, and I haven't been able to get this under control, I chose to try out this place that seemed like a decent place from what I saw online. I specifically chose a day out of the week that the secretary told me the doctor would be in on so I could be seen by the actual doctor who the whole office is named after(and he is the only doctor on the staff) Because I told her what was going on and figured my best bet of getting this figured out would be to see him. She was in agreement and confirmed I would see him at the set day and time. After over an hour and fifteen minutes of waiting in the waiting room, I was lead to my room. At first I was feeling good about things. A nice lady was asking me questions to enter in the computer. Then right after that, a physicians assistant came in. After about 5 minutes of being with me, I was prescribed ..Zyrtec and Allegra. At this point after I thought this place was going to be the place to get to the bottom of things and give me my life back, I was near tears (since I have been on both medications and many others. I've tried everything and anything, and that's what she comes up with to treat my extreme rash and lesions.) I was so disappointed. Didn't even see the doctor that I purposely took time off work to see, and the PAs conclusion was so basic and off from what was truly going on with me(considering I even tried those over the counter medications and they did nothing for my problem)I felt as if I was alone in caring about my own health. And such a severe & serious issue- I feel like I shouldn't have to try to get a Dr or PA to care. I asked to speak with Dr Karlene. He came in(and didn't seem happy to do so) and looked at me for about 30 seconds. He concluded that I DID THIS TO MYSELF. that my suffering for nearly 6 months was just because of me PICKING ALL OF THESE SPOTS. He proceeded to tell me that this was no crazy or rare auto immune issue. I was then handed a psychologist business card. As if i'm a crazy person. Since I am NOT crazy, and am level headed I thought to myself, okay you know what? If this is me, then that's good news! I have the power to heal myself then. I always want to keep an open mind. I'll do anything to get better. And regardless of how I felt about what was said, that was the latest drs opinion. So I made sure no matter how itchy these spots were, I just kept them covered and never touched them. Sadly Dr Karlenes slight glance at my issue was not only incorrect, but now I have spots that resemble psoriasis and eczema ALL OVER MY BODY. my face,arms, back, toes, fingers, you name it. I couldn't believe the lack of effort and care that Dr Karlene showed my issue that was pretty extreme even at the stage before it moved to my legs and back when he saw me. I would advise anyone that doesn't want to be afraid to ever go to the drs again to be ridiculed wrongly and mortified for an issue that they have no control over and NEED HELP getting diagnosed instead of turned away- DO NOT SEE DR KARLENE. never in my life have I had an experience like the one I had there. And I hope to God that doesn't happen often at his facility- but regardless, it happened to me. I was scared for months to see anyone because of how I was treated there. Now that I almost have to quit my job from the pain, severity, and sight of my skin alone, I went to see a new doctor. He was mind-blown by anyone thinking this was my fault. He pointed out that even if I scratched anything, they should heal in a normal time frame but nothing ever heals. My blood work will be back soon, and he is suspecting an auto immune disease along with a yeast overgrowth or gluten intolerance. Perhaps Dr Karlene's place is great for superficial issues like getting Botox. But I caution anyone that's looking to Dr Karlene for help on a serious issue- don't waste your money, or time. read more

I absolutely love this dermatology office! I have been coming here for years and have brought my whole family for various skin issues. Dr. Karlene and his entire staff of physician assistants and nurses are knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. Skin can be a sensitive issue and they take great care in making you feel good about yourself. I see Jeanette regularly and I trust her recommendations completely. She sells products that work and are reasonably priced. She is passionate about skin care and it shows. First visit yesterday with my father, beautiful office but small parking lot. I loved how they called to remind us before visit . Long visit, very long. Check in was very helpful with our insurance questions. At some point the computer stopped working, patients were getting antsy with their wait time.the young lady handled everything very well. There was another young female who was on FaceTime.. (yes, while at work. Having a full conversation) rude to patients inquiring about their wait time, suggesting they can leave if they didn't want to wait. Then another lady came to the front to help print papers out she was also very nice. Doctor and nurse were both oh so nice just very busy. Maybe a little over booked. We will be going back in a few weeks . Fingers crossed for a quick trip. read more

I was a new patient - beautiful office! Staff was very efficient and did their job well. I made an apt. with a Dr. but instead was seen by a PA (physician assistant) She did ask me if it was ok with me to see her instead. Still weird not to see the DR.! Was called in from waiting room within 1/2 hour. My PA seemed very young and came across rehearsed, somewhat cold & not very personable. Nevertheless, her visit with me was thorough and she did answer all my questions. I never felt rushed or uncomfortable. I felt that she did a good job, missed nothing and she was very gentle! I had to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes for one of my appointments and then another hour for the follow-up. I even called half an hour ahead of the follow-up to see if they were running behind at all and was told that everything was running on time. I suppose one hour late is their idea of "on time." Aside from the wait times, I was also frustrated by the run-around I was given on the phone when expressing these concerns and some vague treatment instructions for home. absolutely ridiculous! the office is way over booked all the time on average i have waited between 1-3 hours to even be seen.on top of that out of the 5 visits i have scheduled i have only actually seen the physician 2 times, i get to my appointment 15 minutes early because i respect other peoples time un like this office and he is not even there and i have to see his assistant or he is running way behind and they offer to re schedule another week or two out with his assistant i am very un happy with the treatment i received at this office both time wise and medically, the only reason more than one appointment was booked was because of issues resulting from the first visit, i will no longer even try to see this physician and will begin a search for a new dermatologist read more
