I agree there are a couple drs at the practice that I wouldn't give the time of day, but Dr Sbei has taken very good care of my husband who suffered a mild stroke in October of 2017. When he's needed to be seen, they have always gotten him in. As far as the wait time, some days it is long, but some days it's short, just like any other drs office. I've never seen a neurologist that is worth anything having no wait time. The staff have always been friendly and ready to help. The only issue I have is with how long it takes the dr to fill out paperwork. You have to give at least 3 weeks to a month. He sees patients M-Th and does paperwork for all his patients on Friday. Needless to say, he may not get through it all each week.

I was not informed about the long recovery time or parts of the surgery that were performed. I was given a nerve block with no prior knowledge of what they were doing. She did NOT manage my pain after surgery. I was told to call my family Doctor. Really? She said another medication I take was interfering with the pain medication. She treated me like a drug addict who was trying to scam pain medication and kept yelling that she could lose her job. She had a list of my medications but never mentioned that before surgery. I have had other surgeries and my pain was always managed by the Doctor who preformed the surgery with no interference from my other medications. Dr. Mosier does not seem to care at all about the problems I had during the recovery or now. I just recently had 2 screws removed from the surgery site that were causing pain. This is also common but I was not informed of the possibility of another surgery to remove screws. I'm still in pain and now she says it may be due to my high arch. Seems to me she should have considered and discussed that prior to surgery. She made sure to point out that she did the surgery correctly and it turned out just great. X-rays confirm and it has healed properly as far as she's concerned. In the ortho Michigan office I felt like a number not a name. I never once felt cared for by staff or the doctor I chose, more of an inconvienience. I do not recommend Dr Susan Mosier LaClare.

This doctor was very clear with her description and met with me a second time to answer questions/concerns I had about this. The second time, I did have to wait a bit, but I expect that since she is one of the few foot/ankle specialists in the area. The hospital staff clearly have great respect for her, which is important to someone like myself that has had a career in the medical field. The surgery went fine. It'll be three months since surgery in a week, and I am further ahead than I anticipated and already better than prior to surgery. I would definitely recommend this physician for any foot/ankle issues.

On each of these floors the nurses have been compssionate, caring and attentive. They are knowledgeable about my brother's condition and have alerted his doctors when they have been concerned about changes in his condition. My family is grateful for their dedication and expertise and all they continue to do on my brother's behalf. I appreciate the kindness I have received from the people in the lobby who conduct the visitor checkin to all of the people who have cared for him on the respective floors he has been on. Last December my mother was admitted to McLaren for a weeks stay. The people who cared for her were also knowledgeable and caring. They assisted us in finding hospice care for her at the end of her weeks stay. The monthly, follow up grief support that they have provided to me and my family has been helpful. We are grateful for the expertise and efforts of the people we have encountered here especially in light of the challenges of COVID and other challenges health care workers face on a daily basis. I asked my insurance if I could switch to Henry Ford ,went there in less than a day they did EKG right away,I had a MRI of my head ,electrocardiogram to find out I had vertigo luckily because if I would've stayed at McLaren, I would've died if it was something more serious,They brought in all these student doctors so they can charge insurance and you get stuck with the co-pays and they don't give you any timeframe when they're gonna do these tests .I was in there two days never seen a cardiologist and never had the MRI.

From the ambulance ride to Hurley to my five day stay everything was great. You were not made to feel like just a number. Friendly and concerned staff from the doctors to nurses to orderlies to the cleaning crews. Two small negatives: The food was pretty terrible (at least what I ordered) and wait time for test results was very very long. However, the wait time may be normal, I don't know. I've never been admitted to a hospital before.
