Thank you so much for making my wife Birthday such a fantastic memory. My cohortmates and I wanted to surprise someone w a little mariachi serenade for his 21st birthday…read more We found this business offering a virtual zoom serenade for 2 songs, played by 2 mariachi members in full uniform for $80. Their website and appointment system was clear and easy to navigate, and I noticed I had to be careful during booking cause they are going by east coast time and we were on the west coast. I was a little worried about the lack of positive yelp reviews, the fact that they need payment in full, and given the mariachi band surprise was going to be through a zoom link, it would be pretty easy to take the payment and not show up. I reached out to express my concerns and Mariela was very communicative and reassuring. I also asked for a text to confirm an hour before their scheduled time that everything would be good to go. She said, "Hi Connie,  We received the payment. We will text before connecting, no problem.  As per the reviews, we been in the industry for 10yrs having up to 20 events in a weekend during the busy season, unfortunately people are more inclined to leave many bad reviews for a mistake or a missed service caused for extreme bad situations where is out of our control or where we are involved in accidents. We always make it up to our clients or come up with a solution, but it's not mention after the fact. Versus leaving one good review for every 50 events of great service. It's a reality many businesses have now days." I appreciated her detailed response and it made me feel more at ease as a customer. Come the day of, true to their word I received a text 1 hr before confirming they were good to go. And they showed up on time. What also made me happy was they were very nice and accommodating as well. They typically give you a zoom link to click on during the appt time, but in our case I requested they enter our zoom link bc there were 20+ of us all connecting from home. They said 'no prob'. I also asked if they could mix in our birthday boy's name in a song or message and they said also said 'sure' and gave a short intro saying 'this song is for ____ from your friends and we'd all like to wish you a HBD'. It sounds small but its a nice personalized touch that makes things a little more special, esp during covid. I took off a star just cause I felt it was a bit pricey for 2 songs time and esp given everything was done virtually. But I still had a good experience. Thanks for the mariachi service! It was my first time and you guys were great, everyone loved it :)

Lutz Entertainment was recommended by our day of coordinator Jeanne Stark (Hudson Valley…read moreCeremonies). After reading excellent review after excellent review and a quick phone screening, we hired him for our wedding. We met in person once before the wedding to review introductions and accompanying music, our first dance (which he performed live), our musical preferences and the entire run of show. And in the final weeks leading up to the wedding, Jimmy checked in to see if we had any additional requests or thoughts. The process was seamless and it showed the day of. For instance, my mother was insistent that dinner was not a time to be dancing and guests should be able to hear each other from across the table. Mindful of this, Jimmy used the time to play non-dancing music from some of our favorite bands at a lower level than normal. Speaking with a close friend (who knows my musical preferences) after the wedding, he expressed how personal the music was throughout the night, from introductions to dinner to dancing. Success! Jimmy's enthusiasm for music is infectious and my husband and I now find ourselves brainstorming ways we could incorporate him into future events, just so we could work with him again! With that said, we highly recommend Jimmy for your own wedding!

For one, the meeting process was very laid back and low pressure, which is what we were looking for, especially with so many other things going on. As soon as we started explaining our musical tastes at our first meeting (my husband and I have very different interests musically), Jim gave suggestions that were seamless to our initial playlist ideas; providing things we didn't even think of! He's so much more than "just a DJ". He helped us to plan from before the ceremony, all the way through the reception. Even right down to the day of, he kept everything moving smoothly, even helping me to relax when rain was suddenly in the forecast! He was truly an asset to our team, working well with the other vendors and keeping our wants and needs at the forefront of the night. We didn't want any requests (unless they were a good fit into what was already playing, fully trusting Jim with the decision) and he did a great job of honoring that, without being abrasive to our guests. If we could recommend Lutz Entertainment 1000x over, we would. If you are looking for a super knowledgable, friendly guy who provides exceptional entertainment keeping your guests talking about how much fun they had at your wedding, look no further! Jimmy is your guy and we can't thank him enough for everything!

When Craig opened his own piano studio, my wife continued lessons there until he relocated to the East coast. She now takes lessons with him weekly via live video calls at his new studio location. This is working out seamlessly. Craig is a highly accomplished musician, composer, piano instructor and piano technician. From working with him, it is apparent he is passionate about what he teaches. His main objective is to ensure that his students develop a love for music and self-expression through playing the piano. His lessons include performance, technique, ergonomics, theory, sight-reading, ear-training, composition, structure, harmony, music history and music literature. Had an awesome Saturday afternoon/evening,decided to go to the point (4 those who don't know that's…read moreWest Point military academy), with my best friend ( my wife)to take in a free concert and fireworks. First TIP be sure you have your ID, you will be stopped at gate and your car will be sniffed by drug sniffing canine. Then we rode up hills, down hills and all around where we finally found Trophy Point amphitheater, but you can't park there, you have to park at designated parking lots, fortunately ours was a 10-12 minute walk to the venue, once again up a very very steep incline,& that was just leaving the parking lot,but it is the closet one to Trophy Point. Once we arrived the spaces of this beautiful park overlooking the Hudson River was quite crowded for 4pm(concert started @ 7:30). However after sitting on a hill where me and my wife kept sliding down I decided to find another location. There is a seating area but it was roped off, but just behind the rope you could place your chairs or blanket. Even though I sat behind a portable light pole,it was still a great seat. We caught the sound check by all the performers. Wifey and I bought our cheese and crackers, wine coolers, sandwiches and water. Yes you can bring alcoholic beverages. We found out later that the class of 2022 will be attending the concert (all 1,210 Plebes, military term for Cadets, in college they call them freshmen). @ 7:15 all 1,210 plebes marched in, this was a sight to see,by 8:10 they all were seated. Then the new commander of West Point spoke Lt. General Darryl Williams spoke (like the plebes he just arrived Monday). He is the first African American commander in its 216 year history, & left the cadets with encouraging words on fulfilling their goals. He and his staff actually sat right in front of us. Now the show the West Point orchestra (who just performed for the Macy's fireworks Wed.)did their usual excellence job of performing patriotic,American classics ,& military anthems, but then they brought out this group called the Benny Havens Band. Oh my goodness , now if there was a roof to be tore off the place(since we're outside) they would have. From classic like Queen's we will rock you to Bruno mars and Cardi B Finesse this group is no joke and not to be missed & they are also serving their country they are all NCO's (non commissioned officers,Sargent specialist etc.) They are a part of the West Point ensembles. Then the fireworks started which was as good as Macy 's fireworks. A Great afternoon/evening spent here at Trophy point, just arrive early to get a good spot..
