I also do not feel Dr. Adams is a good doctor. I've had several issues with him. A bad wrap job on my foot which caused a large laceration by his staff. HORRIBLE! Butchered my feet. Went in for Bunion surgery and it was never discussed that my big toes would be cut off. They were realigned crooked, over corrected, the join fused. Sutures were like a hack job down the top of my feet and not even close to tiny stitches. When healed the big toe pointed perpendicular to my toes. Went back to see him and they refused to help! I saw Dr. Scott Eugene Adams recently for a follow-up visit. I mentioned to him that I had a suggestion for him regarding COVID precautions after watching his assistant set up for him in the exam room I was in. I suggested a safer way to set up his exam gloves so that two people would not be handling the gloves. He became obviously offended, didn't take the time to understand what I was suggesting, and he cut me short by saying they take all possible precautions. After the exam and treatment Dr. Adams reached out and shook my hand. REALLY??? "We take all possible precautions"-NOT. I went to the desk to check out I was told I needed three more appointments - one for an ABI Test, one for an Annual Exam, and one for toenail clipping. I asked what an ABI Test is since Dr. Adams had not mentioned wanting to do any testing of any kind. I was told, " It's just to check on your circulation." I was asked to sign a form and I asked why. The assistant told me it was because Dr. Adams took clipping samples from the toenail he was working on and they would be sent to the lab for analysis. Again, Dr. Adams did not tell me he had any concerns or that he was sending samples to pathology. And I have never before had to sign a form so anything could be sent to a lab. I declined to make an appointment for an Annual Exam since I was seeing Dr. Adams that day and had seen him last June. What, then, is the reason for an Annual Exam? I asked for a copy of my path report. It showed that my specimen was marked incorrectly as coming from my left great toenail. Dr. Adams appears to not believe in patient/doctor collaboration. And it's obvious that he doesn't think he can learn a thing from a senior citizen patient. Prior to my career as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, I administratively managed a podiatric residency program, as well as several surgical practices over the years. I wish I had looked at yelp.com, sharecare.com, and healthgrades.com for reviews before I chose this podiatrist. I will be carefully reviewing my Medicare and secondary EOB's and switching to my orthopedic group to care for my feet. read more

I was very disappointed in Dr. Adams. At first, I was impressed with the cleanliness, the prompt service and rooming, the staff. I went in for plantar fasciitis in both feet, and needed relief and referrals to proper orthotics and treatment. Instead, they took me in and did xrays on both feet ( xrays are for bones, NOT tendons) and ultrasounds on both feet( outdated and indeterminate). Then I waited for Dr Adams. He whisked in and asked me to rate my pain from 1-10, made a diagnosis and told the nurse to get the steroids. When I objected to treatment he barked at her to "get the boot", smiled and said goodbye. I'm like,"Wait! What about a treatment plan? Orthotics? PT?" No answer. He didn't even address my left foot Then the nurse brings this orthotic boot similar looking to a full size ski boot and tells me to wear it all the time. How can I wear this, it's on my driving foot. I had to sign responsibility for paying for it without knowing what it cost, and then was left in the room alone. Second opinion doc said all of that is revenue sourcing and none of it is helpful. I returned the boot and will never be back. My insurance was robbed by Dr.Adams with these frivolous procedures. read more

Dr. Adams is a superior physician! I went to him with what I thought was a sprained ankle. He quickly, and ACCURATELY, diagnosed my problem as a significantly greater problem saving me from further physical damage. He is conscientious, friendly, and thorough. It is very difficult for me to rate Dr. Adams with a one out of five. I have been seeing him for years, for minor things such as ingrown toenails and fungus. These he handled with great outcomes. However in Feb I had to have surgery to remove several tumors on the bottom of my right foot. My expectations were high, due to my prior experiences and the fact that I had the same surgery done maybe 50 years ago on my left foot. The left foot surgery was done by our family doctor, don't remember his name, and he did a super job. no scar tissue, no nerve damage, no problems/pain once healed/cannot even tell I had any thing done. My Right foot done by Dr. Adams,a foot specialist, is a total different story. The cut is between 5-6 inches. He didn't use sutures, he used staples. The staples look and feel like a small train track. In May I had to have a 2nd surgery to correct an adhesion from the staples (painful). I requested no staples, sutures only or no go. Now there is nerve damage because the adhesion had tugged on the nerve and he had to move it. The ball of my foot and my toes have a weird feeling. I thought he was going to also fix the middle of the incision (train tracks) however it is still the same and now every time I walk too much it gets VERY sore and puffy, I believe it does this because of the rubbing against the raised scar/train track. I am in the process of trying to locate another doctor to correct these problems. Not looking forward to a 3rd surgery, however I have to be able to walk. I think about all the improvements in the last 50 years and it is a shame that a general doctor from 1966 could have a better surgical outcome than a specialist of 2016 for the basic same surgery.
