Although I wasn't the patient, I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Norman while accompanying my brother to establish care. I wanted to leave this review to reflect on how kindly and compassionately he treated someone I love very much. Dr. Norman spent a lot of time with us, truly listening and taking my brother's complex medical situation to heart. Even though it turned out that my brother didn't necessarily need a podiatrist for what's currently going on, Dr. Norman went above and beyond to help us piece together what kind of care my brother really does need. I went to Dr. Norman for an issue I have been dealing with for many years. Long story short, although he tried his best to help me, he wasn't able to find the root cause. He was very patient and understanding and listened to everything I told him. To his credit, I have been to other specialists who were also unable to help me. I just went back to see him for another issue, and he was able to take care of my problem during that visit. I was extremely pleased with the care I received. He has a very calm demeanor. The office staff has been nice as well. I would highly recommend Dr. Norman. I have been to another podiatrist since I moved to the Central Coast, and he was horrible. My family member has had foot issues for *years*. We had two separate podiatrists make custom orthotics, to no avail, AND we saw an orthopedic surgeon who pretty much shrugged and suggested good tennis shoes. Dr. Norman was the ONLY podiatrist who used tools to measure the Achilles tendon, range of ankle motion, etc. and diagnosed the problem (FINALLY) and gave us answers and the reasons why the previous orthotics didn't work. Covid times are difficult for medical issues. However Dr. Norman's office was inviting and very efficient. My initial consultation was easy to schedule and resulting surgery was excellent from the AG Hospital to follow up care. Actually the whole experience was way better than anticipated! read more

Dr. Norman was SO helpful. We went to a podiatrist in Templeton and had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience. I decided to do some research via reviews to find a new doctor. I came across Dr. Norman's reviews and I'm so glad I did! My boyfriend has extremely high arches and struggles with lots of foot pain. I am happy to say that he is now almost pain free (1 week after being seen), is doing physical therapy, has a referral for a neurologist (to rule out underlying issues), and custom inserts on the way. Dr. Norman is a great listener and takes his time to figure out what's really going on. His staff are a great reflection of his core belief that they are there to help people. Dr Norman was recommended to me by my Audiologist. I couldn't be happier with her recommendation. He is very thorough, has the ability to X-ray right in his office, which I greatly appreciated. I got the results right then, he gave me several options to help with my heel pain..I left his office knowing exactly why had the hill pain and what to for it!!! I've had foot pain since clear back in middle school. I saw a podiatrist in SLO a few years ago that recommended over the counter orthotics which I tired out but they didn't do the trick. I went to Dr Norman and he recommended custom orthotics. They fit great and have done the trick. I can now comfortably wear something other than Birkenstock's! I saw Dr. Norman because I had what I thought were painful cysts on my foot that made it difficult to walk and exercise the way I wanted to. He was able to diagnose and treat them that day!
