My husband was referred to this pub by his shuttle driver for Shaganappi GMC. So we gave it a try twice now. It's located in a strip mall in the NW of the city north of Stoney. As soon as you walk in you realize how big it is and how nicely done up it is. Bar is in the middle as soon as you walk in the door, décor is what you'd expect of an British setting bar. Lots of tables and booths, two pool tables and plenty of TV's. The menu is generous with lots to choose from. We each had a drink and some food. I had the Angry Scot burger with lager fries and it was fantastic! I recommend the lagers as they are nice and thinly sliced and crisp!! Not like some I've had at other places which have been soggy with oil because they are too thick. My husband had the Guinness stew, it was a very good size helping indeed. Large mashed taters topped the stew and fresh cooked veggies on the side with 4 mini yorkies. Come hungry. On our second visit with friends, we had the sharable appetizer, pricey at $40 but was sure good!! The wings were nice and crisp and not greasy, the pork ribs also nice and not over dry and seasoned well. Calamari was good, lagers and the potato skins were decent. It came with 4 different dips which was nice. I had the truffled mac and cheese which was very fragrant with truffles. Only thing I didn't like about it was how much sauce was on it and how much oil was in the pasta. Our husbands had the rib special which were great as none got left over!!! My girlfriend had the meat calzone. Warning when they say a pizza folded in half...they mean it!!! Another warning...the dessert trio is huge!!!! We thought it would just be a sampling of three desserts like most places, this place is not like most. When it came out is was huge, a huge piece of the coffee mud pie, some shortbread cake with vanilla ice cream and a whole lava fudge cake!!! OMG!!! So good but we where so full!!! read more

Good little neighborhood pub. Great selection of beers and the menu isn't to bad either. Perfect place to stop by on the way home from a long day at work or just to hook up with some friends over a few pints. read more

Was there for lunch today with my daughter and it was GREAT service. Living in the south I only go when enroute to Beddington for a play at Storybook or Front Row Centre. The theatre is wonderful and worth the trek to add on a meal at Scotsman's Pub. Wish it was closer as would make it my regular watering hole. read more

Good service overall, good veer selection and fantastic steak sandwiches. My wife and I recently had a baby and I'll be doing take out for the s.sandwiches until we can find a babysitter! Great food, pleasant staff and good clientèle. read more

Was there for the Grey Cup. They stopped serving me after halftime for no reason I let them know. Have also been theire several times for Monday Night Football. The same table of three always seems to win. read more

Great place to go to for a drink after work on your way home. Prices are higher than average. The staff can be great most of the time. It gets really busy on weekends especially on wing night. Their wings are good. Laid back environment. read more

Great meaty poutine, great atmosphere with music and Tvs.

Had the steak dinner done medium rare. Meat arrived lukewarm lacking any flavour whatsoever. The "premium" baked potato was rather hard, cool inside and very unexciting. We came on a Saturday night when there were hockey games on the 20 - 30 tv screens in the large seating area. The volume was about like sitting behind a 747 revving up for takeoff. At least a plane eventually leaves this sound remained. We tried different seating areas but there was no escape. If you want a quiet night out this is NOT the place to go! read more

My boyfriend and I decided to stop at Scotsman's Well for a pre-movie bite to eat last weekend, since it was on the way to the theatre. I had been here previously, once just for drinks and once for a Christmas party, so this was the first time I was actually checking out the menu and trying the food. The place was busy but not packed, so we seated ourselves at a table near the back. The specials were burgers (although it did not state the "special"' price) and caesars. Our server was quick and attentive, we ordered drinks and burgers and they seemed to come out pretty quickly. The food was typical pub food - good but not amazing. I did really enjoy the onion rings though. I've heard their wing nights and rib nights (Monday's) are really good. Our bill came to about $30 for our meals & drinks - all in all it was decent, but nothing to write home about. I might be back if I'm in the area, but I'd probably check out some other restaurants in the Creekside area first. read more

A large pub with good atmosphere but food quality has slid in the last couple years. We used to come here every week but over the last while food quality has become a bit sporadic. The beer is still good. And usually easy to get a table which is nice. We still like it but just don't go quite as often. read more

wow, where do we start? We are a group of 2 middle aged couples living in Kincora that have been enjoying getting together at the "Well" every Wednesday for wings and fun. We liked sitting in the back booth, but always got this waitress named "Tracy" that had no sense of humour and absolutely no personality. She continually got our order wrong, week after week and the manager would apologize and say "wow, this isn't what you ordered!" However, this past week, March 30th, 11, she once again served us the wrong order and when we complained the manager "Gerard" actually came over with our bill and said that we were constantly complaining and needed to find another venue to go to! We almost laughed out loud at how unbelievable this was! He himself had noted the incorrect order on several occasions, but now denied this! He said that his waitress Tracy was the best one he had so he believed that she did not screw up the order but that we were in fact lieing about what we ordered!!! Wow, talk about boycotting a bar - this is the limit! We have never in our lives experienced anything quite like this! We asked him if Tracy mentioned the 20% tip that we gave her each week even though she continually screwed up our order? No more to say - go elsewhere!!! read more
