We got pop as our drink and I'm glad we asked but it is NOT non-stop (no free refills). Waitress was nice but very busy. Flavors and their ratings: Honey Garlic: 10/10 my personal favorite. Very well sauced. Dill pickle: 8/10 Flavoring was just a light dusting and did not stick really well to the wings. Nice flavor just wish there was more of it. Lemon pepper: 9/10 Flavoring stuck better to these wings. This was Friend 1s favorite as it had a nice zing to it. Bangin Bacon: 10/10 Friend 2s favorite, i also really enjoyed this one. Nice and creamy and flavor. Not a strong flavor. Moroccan: 3/10 everyone least favorite. Very bland. Tastes like paprika only. Overall the wings had a good amount of meat on them, were hot and fresh and I would come back!

You can usually find more parking behind the building near the Corner Pocket.  Admittedly, aside from their wings, I haven't had the chance to try any of their regular menu items so can't comment on those. But we've visited a handful of times on wing Wednesdays and are always pleased with the fast-paced service and flavours of their wings. My favourite picks are the Bangin' Bacon, Dill Pickle, Thai Chili, and of course, the classic Honey Garlic. I have found that on some busy nights, they've skimped out on the flavourings that we've had to scrape them from the bottom of the basket, but I'm sure the servers would be happy to bring you extra flavourings if you ask. Our most recent visit was a nice surprise as they were still decked out with their seasonal decorations; so fun! They also host a lot of local shows/concerts, so make sure to check out their website to stay updated!

Eh... Something has gone wrong here…read more Minus a couple of the kick-ass staff, the service has really taken a dive lately. Either you get someone who is surgically attached to their cell phone and fails to look up more than once every 15 mins (or is out having a smoke for at least that long), or someone who is fixated on one guy (their boyfriend? Friend? Sugar daddy?) while everyone else wonders where their next drink is coming from... Also, since Woody's took over the food side of things, the wings taste... *weird* They almost taste smoky like bacon, but no, more of a general pork taste. When you order a certain flavour of wings, you don't expect that weird flavour to permeate through like that. As for it being a sports bar, it's starting to look more like a random channel bar. Last time I went there, during a night where there were probably 10 hockey games going on, there was maybe one tv that had the game (way in the back of the room). It's like the bartender wasn't even trying. Now, I'm going to be specific about the sports bar aspect of this review... In the past couple years I've found that it's becoming more common for them to not be able to get a certain hockey game on, because they don't have that package. So I end up at a different pub, and... There's that game. Gotta be careful about that, guys! It's possible the lower turnouts have something to do with this... I can't go as far as two stars, as it's still not worthy of such a drop in rating. But I dunno, I think upper management needs to stop running the place like it's a big ol' hassle, and actually do their homework and figure out why their competition is killing them.

I'll admit a gift certificate (from Cruz FM) brought me in but great service and food will bring me back. I was greeted immediately by a server and told to sit wherever I liked. It was quiet so she was the only server on duty. I was flying solo that afternoon but asked if it would be okay if I placed a takeout order after I finished eating so I could bring food back for my wife. I assured that it would be no problem. All good. I ordered the steak sandwich which comes with garlic toast and fries. The 8 oz AAA sirloin was great. You don't always get the best cuts of meat when ordering a sandwich but this one was very good. I'd like to give you some wordy description such as mouth-watering, succulent, blah, blah, but I think you get the idea. I posted a photo anyway. I ordered my wife's food when the sandwich was brought to me and by sheer coincidence or great timing it was ready and boxed up when I was ready to leave. My wife's order was the Prawns with Angel Hair as well some Vietnamese Spring Rolls on the side. Angel hair pasta can be a bit tricky to cook just right because it's so thin and easy to overcook. The fact that it was in a takeout container made it hard to judge. She liked it though. It came with 8 good-size pieces of shrimp so she was happy. She thought it was a bit different that the Spring Rolls came with plum sauce as opposed to fish sauce but the price was right. It was 6 rolls for 7 dollars. Not a bad deal. Just want to give another shout out to the server whose name I never got. She was very nice and attentive. My water was refilled 3 or 4 times and when I handed her the gift certificate she was cool. Sometimes restaurant staff look at you like you're handing them Monopoly money when you have a GC. Thanks again. I look forward to coming back.

Admittedly, I'm not much of a drinker but I'll have some once in a while and Bear Street seems to have a pretty good selection. I tried a Vietnamese Coffee Stout which I enjoyed. I'm definitely more of an eater than I am a drinker and the eats at Bear Street Tavern are excellent. My party got 2 pizzas and a salad and we enjoyed it all. To start we got the Tavern Bowl. It's a bunch of different vegetables with a Tahini Miso Dressing and kimchi on top. All the different textures and flavors worked really well together and the salad served as a nice break between bites of pizza. The Wheeler Hut pizza has mushrooms, ricotta, truffle oil, pesto, and mozzarella. If you're a fan of truffle flavor you'll enjoy this pizza. As soon as it was brought out I could already smell the truffle. The Mediterranean has olives, feta cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes, red onions, chili flakes, spinach, mozzarella, and balsamic glaze. A little busier than the Wheeler Hut, but it was equally delicious. I'm not sure which pizza I liked more. Both pizzas had a fantastic crust with some char. Substantial enough to stand up to the toppings but still a little doughy for a nice chew. The char gives a nice crunch as well. Service is quick and friendly and the prices are fair, especially in a tourist area. I definitely recommend Bear Street Tavern.
