I was shocked when they told me that after the services were provided, they paid 1,000 dollars to fix one kitchen outlet! I should have told my neighbors to ask for a quote before scheduling so I take responsibility for that, but never did it occur to me that the price would be so high for one outlet! Is this the going rate for outlet repair or was this an opportunity to rip off the elderly?

Jeff said he would be there within the hour and sent me a text when he was 10 minutes away. Jeff determined the problem was a faulty circuit breaker within 2 minutes. He went to his truck to get a replacement and my power was restored to my garage within 10 minutes of his arrival (if not sooner.) He was personable, professional, very courteous, communicative, and efficient. Truly, Plato's idea of an electrician. The cost the service call was incredibly reasonable! Frankly, I was shocked at how low my bill was. You can bet that I will call "Down the Road Electric" the next time I need electrical services.

They were really quick to tell me how to unsubscribe from Angi so that they could work with me directly. I made three different appointments with them, all of which they cancelled with practically no notice. They do not answer their phone. They only communicate by text. They also charged me more than twice as much for the repair as the final contractor did; they still have not refunded me. Next step BBB and a lawyer.
