Tasting menu

We were visiting from out of town and looking to find a place to do some wine tasting. We found Scoria tasting room in downtown Boise and decided to give it a try. My were we impressed with the place and the wines! The price point was very reasonable for the quality of the wines and the staff was really friendly and knowledgeable. The tasting room is very modern and clean. If we lived in the area we would definitely sign up as members. Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed!

Their inventory is thoughtfully curated, making it easy to find both well-known favorites and unique bottles. When I stopped in to pick up my order, I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, who was welcoming and genuinely appreciative of my visit. The shop itself is beautiful, and during my visit they appeared to be hosting a tasting event that looked like a wonderful gathering. Unfortunately, I was short on time and couldn't stay to enjoy the experience, but it's definitely something I'd love to return for. I'm grateful to have found such an outstanding local wine shop. I wish the owners continued success and will absolutely be recommending then to my friends in the area. It's the kind of place that's well worth supporting.

My friend and I had an amazing night and will definitely be back.

The last review was 2020 when people were being snotty to each other - so I had to go see for myself and wow - I can't say enough great things about this small business! The family who owns this shop is amazing and so are their employees. They treat everyone with genuine hospitality and have such a great knowledge of the products they sell. Love the insights on oils, vinegars & their world wide variety of wines! We got to taste many oils and vinegars and shooed for gifts too! We found out They have a Thursday wine and tapas made by the owners - tasting every week. The also have specials on holidays. Their prices are reasonable and their gift packs are something more I will be gathering up for the holidays! We bought several wines, oils, vinegars - to enjoy with some goat chips and caprese salad at home tonite. They were beautifully wrapped too! We got the perfect garlic oil for searing our meat and an aged wine from Spain to compliment our meal - we will definitely be back! These folks have made long term customers of us! There were two other couples in the store that he did not follow around like us. Maybe because we aren't white not sure but there are so many better wine stores with friendly staff and environment I'd rather spend my money on .

And, very nice and surprising menu for such a remote location. Ok, the drive is not simple but the reward is worth it. Beautiful scenery and winery, especially at dusk. Indoor and outdoor seating. My risotto with chicken was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The waitress was excellent and really went out of her way to make our dinner a wonderful experience. And I almost forgot the wine!! Excellent choices and they were very tasty. The desserts looked incredible but we chose a jar of their sea salt chocolate toffee to go. Yum!!! This place is a hidden gem.
