Our town is very fortunate enough to have these sisters back together in business. They have only been open for about 3 weeks now and are already popular. This is such a lovely place to spend time with your girlfriends, sisters, mothers, grandmothers as it just oozes everything fun and vibrant about women. The décor is vibrant, whimsical and as the name suggests, bohemian. You can't help but smile when you walk into the historical home (please read their website about the history). They have a limited food menu, but there really isn't a need for anything larger. They have perfected 4 sandwiches with croissants, homemade breads and wonderfully thick slices of meat. The condiments are the standard and your taste buds will be happy for it. They have a wonderful selection of teas as well as other beverages and a couple specialty drinks on their menu. Accompanying the sandwiches are 3 side choices and it's a hard choice. The sides themselves, put together, would be a fun meal. To end it all, they have already taken feedback from customers and made dessert bites that are perfect. Today's special was a pineapple and cherry dessert served in a wine glass. This place is perfect for special occasions, small events, ladies lunch and of course - treat yourself! I for one can't wait to take my mother here. They are currently open Thursday - Saturday 10am to 3pm by reservation only. This is mainly due to the limited parking.

We went on May 21st, and we were greeted by 2 men at 8:40 pm. They let us know the buffet was closing shortly but essentially implied "take as much as you can since we throw out everything at the end of the night anyways" so WE DID (as you can see from our plates. And we were FULL after a 10.5 hour drive, but then they brought out a custom made veggie pizza which we DEVOURED. An incredible experience for something we thought was a "mom & pop" shop for how nice the host was but happy to find out it's a chain that exists in our home state!

Chester's is a solid food option in Newton, IA…read more We were driving through around lunchtime and our first thought was to drive thru McDonalds however I noticed an almost overlooked Chester's lived inside the gas station attached to the McDonalds. The staff was fabulous-- the epitome of Iowa nice. The woman at the register obviously took pride in what she did and served us up some freshly fried chicken sandwiches. Delish. I had the standard fried chicken sandwich-- which had a Chester's marinated breast topped with crinkle-cut dill pickles, placed on a brioche bun, and lightly coated with honey butter. Clean plate club here. The mac n cheese was solid and the potato wedges were solid as well. Pricing was on point-- the restaurant itself was clean. This Chester's is hidden, for sure. And it's a bit less convenient then other fast food spots in the area due to no drive thru. Additionally if you get a drink, you need to walk into the gas station to fill a fountain drink. Which is fine, just not super fast. Overall-- Chester's was worth the stop! I want to try the Buffalo chicken sandwich next time.
