San Franciscans be aware !! Lack of experience with customer service Recently one of their user hit my car and ran away when I witness , so I reported to the company and they said that the company cannot not be liable for the repair of my car, so I have been calling them exhausted times without a clear answer I am a very disappointed of this company of how they are managing claims

This is my first time riding Scoot. I chose the SF location, 765 Pennsylvania @10:30 pm on a Saturday. The first 2 hours/20miles are free when you sign up! You will get your own code so make you send it to your friends for more free rides! Finding the instructions and scoots was easy but it's difficult if you don't go with someone without experience. I went with my boyfriend who went once before so it was easier to understand everything from beginning to end. It takes a lot to get used to, especially because SF has very crowded streets with cars, public transportation, people and there are a lot of hills. I would recommend everyone to practice driving around their scoot location before they go out to the main streets with a lot of cars. You have a helmet on but it is still very dangerous, especially when you have to have balance and put your feet down when you fully stop. It took me about 2 miles riding around dead and empty streets before I felt comfortable and went towards Pier 39 with more cars and traffic. It was a fun experience but I can see why licensed motorcyclists might get mad because I'm sure people drive like dangerous idiots. Be safe!

Scooting around this weekend was super fun!

My favorite type of transportation around the city. In this review I'll be listing my pros and cons for Scoot but my overall thoughts and feelings on their ongoing existence and integration into the San Francisco transportation system is imminent. Pros: quick and cheap for it's convenience, ability for free rides (if the scooter needs to be parked at a garage and is on its last legs), great starting promotion (24 hours free), easy to find (red, next to the curb, app is helpful), great interface (easy to pick up and just go, no glitches), fun, wind through your hair, and just fast enough to not be dangerous to roadsters like myself. Cons: not able to park at all curbsides in SF (the colored parts of the map tells you where is a parkable curb), 20 miles of movement before needing to be charged (hopefully longer in the future), garages are not the easiest to spot, and garage closed hours could be indicated with consideration of movement time. Try it out and let me know how you liked your experience! Feel free to ask me for a reference for that free 24 hours :)

Had a blast riding around SF the Tuesday after Labor Day. I usually only go around places that are close to BART (I hate driving in the city) so today was the first day I really got to explore the city. It's pretty simple to get started. Just download the scoot app & watch the intro videos which takes about 20 minutes. When you get to the city, open up the app and just look for the nearest unreserved scoot. A tip is to reserve yours when you're close to it since you only get a 15 minute grace period. It was a little tricky getting started, but with patience and practice I got the hang of it real quick. Riding around was so much fun and freeing. Although they only go 30 miles a hour, it's a lot faster then you'd think. I highly recommend trying it out cause I know you'll have just as much fun. Some tips: when putting the scoot on & off the kick stand, really put your weight into lifting and bend with you're knees

Conveniently pick it up and drop it off wherever you go

Customer service over the phone was great, the tour was awesome and we learned new things about San Francisco that we had never learned before. The views were STUNNING and the open air car was awesome. Bring a jacket, the day was perfect sunshine which is unheard of for San Francisco this time of year and I was still frozen at the end of our ride. There were just a few things that kept this from being a 5 star experience: Car condition: the breaks on this e-car literally SCREAMED each time we stopped. The car stopped with no issue, but it totally freaked us out - especially on some of the steep hills. Otherwise the car was in excellent condition and we only depleted maybe 10% of the battery in our 3 hour tour. Front desk staff: check in and out was easy enough, but the front desk staff were realllllllly indifferent. They also talked like auctioneers, crazy fast. They showed all of the folks in the office this map route and talked at the speed of light. Now, we knew about 40% of the stops we would take and still got confused. How on earth are tourists supposed to understand this map direction situation. Seriously, the company would be better off instructing the front desk to say "your car will guide you through this map" than to try to have them explain where people are going. Or at least tell guests that "this seems like a lot, but you have a map in your car and the car will guide you, we are giving you this info so that you have some of the locations in your mind". Tour Guide/GPS: the GPS/Tour Guide storyline sounded like it was for the yellow car only. There were a few times that we were thinking, this can't be referring to our car. For example, there was one steep hill decent that we were going to go on and the GPS/Tour Guide said "I'm only designed to go 25 mph, so take care down this steep hill" we couldn't tell if we were only allowed to go 25 mph or if this cars speed was capped at 25 mph, but the website says that the top speed is 80 mph. Also, we were told that this car can go across the Golden Gate Bridge and the GPS said several times that it is not allowed to go on the bridge. Overall, we had a wonderful time, the GPS worked the entire time and we learned new facts about SF and saw new things that we hadn't noticed before. We also got MANY compliments on this car and almost every group that saw us said that they want to take this car out while on their trip. This was an awesome experience and we will bring family/friends here when they visit for amazing views of the city.

I was frustrated because I kept calling to see if there was anything I needed to do before getting to the place. They said no just come and we'll take your Groupon information. So we got there and it was torture to get signed in. It took us an hour for signing in! Finally, we get in the cars, my gps didn't work well. We went a mile and had to return that car. We got another car and went on our tour. My brother's car had a hard time going up the hill (right before Lombard Street) and it had very little power and it started smoking. We had to wait for them to get to Lombard street. We went down the crookedest street then quickly returned the cars. My brother was afraid that he and my sister in law would stall or that the car would catch on fire. We ended our tour 1 hour early. Issues are the cars look used up and not well maintained. They need more workers at the front desk and car pickup area. Cars should be checked prior to customers coming to ensure they're going to work well. I think this is a GREAT idea and very fun. I was able to see more of SF because of this amazing self guided tour. The reason I didn't rate my experience as a 5 star is the wait time checking in and the car issues.
