We bumped into Santa tonight at Rick's :) 20 years ago my…read morehusband and I had our first date at a tiny little chocolate factory in Riga, Lativa. So, tonight I took him up to Rick's Fine Chocolates & Coffee for a re-create. We got a small latte, a medium breve and 8 chocolates for about twenty bucks. We both enjoyed our coffee, and our chocolates, we sampled a Cashew Wurtle, a dark chocolate peppermint patty, a dark chocolate lemon cream, dark chocolate strawberry cream, dark chocolate cookie dough, a butter finger and each got a dark chocolate caramel (the last of which we are saving for tomorrow). We enjoyed them all, especially the Wurtle and lemon cream. The cookie dough was more like a brownie bite, but delicious as well and the size of the chocolates are nice and petite. For sugar free folks, they also have a nice selection of sugar free chocolates as well! The tables were clean and the seating area isn't entirely spacious, so tables are close, but it didn't feel cramped. Just your standard table and wooden chairs. But with old photo's of old town Guthrie, a painted tin roof and half wall it feels very sweet. There were very few people in the shop when we entered but at about 4:30 there was a bolt of people and it filled up quickly. Great for a small little date night dessert or an afternoon get together with a friend to chat. We will be back :)
