If you have any vintage interests or are looking to complete a one of a kind collection I highly recommend you stop in this pristinely merchandised and extensively resourced shop. Every piece in this shop is of high quality and very competitively priced. The owner is well versed in his diverse collection. A true treasure to experience plus explore. I doubt you will leave empty handed. I happily did not. read more

The store is full of eclectic and vibrant decor that will speak to the hearts of artists everywhere, ranging from clothing, to furniture, to toys and museum quality gifts. It has a variety of quirky finds that I've never seen before. The intention here is almost like a local gallery exalting each stunning piece of art, no matter how small. The pieces ranged from the very tiny porcelain dog, which was about the size of your thumb, to the very large bears, that were furry and taller than me. Colorful, diverse art dotted the walls and were displayed in all different living room themes for all different tastes and styles of home. This was a clever idea. You could picture the decor in your own home. "Buy local" is the intention here and deteriorating properties were bought up by the owner and given a stunning facelift to elevate the community. This was a closed down roller rink. There was also a cinema next door that turned to a gift shop and off beat eatery. The unique history of each is preserved in the original artifacts throughout. Being that this is art focused and unique, don't have the expectation of Walmart prices. Of course you're getting one-of-a-kind quality pieces that will make your heart sing when you see your selected art displayed proudly in your home. Leon & Lulu also will give you a discount for your birthday if you share that information. If you're in Ferndale, Clawson or Detroit, put this store on your must visit list.

If you're looking for something unique, funny, fun, or more of a traditional purchase then this place is for you. We were able to purchase some very cool gifts for friends and family that were tailored to their personality. The shop's staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed them and they were also pretty available when we needed someone even though they were a bit busy. As for the prices I would put them on par for a place that sells the selection that this place has. You can find some items that are cheaper (not cheaply made), and other items that are pretty high (saw a pillow for around $300 ). I will definitely be putting this place on my list of shops to go for the next time I need to shop for friends and family!

A backroom sale was going…read moreon, the sale price should have been the regular price & then marked at least 50% off to be an actual sale. The regular priced items in the front of the store were outrageously priced, even damaged items & not small damage, ripped furniture that would be costly to repair & chipped ceramic and glass items that I'm not sure could be repaired. There were also some beautiful pieces, way overpriced beautiful pieces. I can not anyone buying something from this place, you can find the same thing's elsewhere & priced as it should be. I have a house full of it that I love, enjoy, and paid a fair price to the seller/store for. I could never imagine enjoying something bought from ModMart, I would be too busy kicking myself.

She took hundreds of dollars of new Waterford and antique items for total of $200. We were totally ripped off. She took things on consignment, but never called back to pick them up. Run away ! Do not use her, she's personable and nice but I would never shop at her store nor would I ever have her look at items I have for sale again.

One of my favorite discoveries though was The Workplace Program - selling cards made by people with disabilities - they were so unique and awesome! I ended up buying one for my brother's birthday and it was the same price you'd see at Hallmark for a nice card. Overall, the space was clean and easy to navigate - only took us about 45 minutes to browse through all the vendors. Definitely check out if you're in the area and want to support local!

Our landscape firm recommended that we go to Telly's to select a special red maple for an area on…read moreour property that is outside where our landscaper's work. We found a beautiful specimen, bought it and contracted to Telly's to plant it. This was in September of 2025. Now seven months later, the specimen is dead. We took pictures to the store and I spoke to the person who sold me the tree originally. He told me he needed to consult an "expert". I was introduced to another man who looked at my pictures and fairly immediately diagnosed that there was something wrong with our soil and that is what killed the tree. He indicated that their warranty did not cover disease. He showed me the treatment for the soil and explained how to do it. We spent $90 on this treatment. After consulting with our landscaper, there were several things that were suggested, but here's the most important one. The tree dying so quickly would suggest that the disease may have been in the potted plant's soil WHEN it was planted. The landscaper found it unusual that if the disease were newly introduced to the plant from our soil that it would have died so quickly. At any rate, we will never buy another specimen tree like this from Telly's. This experience really felt like a "setup" between the two employees. We had to speak to the guy who knows how to "sell" this whole soil disease excuse. As consumers, we were in no position to argue. We'd suggest that you be very careful buying an expensive specimen from Telly's and risking having your money go up in smoke in just a few months time!

Formerly Eckert's Greenhouse, which I only went to sporadically because of their prices. I was driving up Ryan and saw a 50% off all annuals in the 2nd to the last week in June! I slammed on my brakes, and went in to check it out. Holy guacamole! Their hanging baskets are regularly $14.99 each, or $12.99 each when you buy 3, so 50% off made them $7.50 or $6.50 each! No joke. I ended up spending $90 and almost couldn't fit all the plants in my car. I thought I had plenty, then I was driving up Ryan 3 days ago, July 8, and saw a sign for 75% off. You have got to be kidding me?! Screetch!!!!! Pulling over again. This time I only spent $60, and again had a time getting it all into my car. This place is awesome!!!!!!!!!
