Completely wasted my time. Gave me a 7:45 appointment and nobody was even in the office. I left a…read morenote on the desk for a call back to reschedule after waiting a half hour and nobody even had the consideration to call me back. Usually when people make appointments during the week they are making time in their work schedule to make the visit which is extremely inconsiderate. Why send out a confirmation text message if you aren't going to even be at the appointment yourself? Zeroooo Updated based on the poor response: Implying I went to the wrong office just shows the lack of accountability by the team here. I'm old enough to read the sign on the building/door... I don't need anyone to call me now I'll go elsewhere. There's always some weird excuse in the reviews here where the customer always seems to be making something up because there's no way the office could own up to a mistake. A helpful tip for future business responses would be something along the lines of ...(We apologize for the inconvenience and value your time. I am not sure what went wrong but if it helps we will fit you in at your availability). Imagine getting a response like that? I guess I went to a phantom office where all the employees are invisible. The wait time to see the doctor is minimal (they must know how to schedule!). Once you are brought into the exam room, you wait a very short time to see the doctor who also is very friendly. A pleasant experience overall! Besides the overall service I also feel confident in the treatment that I receive. If you have not tried it, I would suggest you give a try. You will be very pleased with the experience.

Unfortunately, this visit left me feeling uncomfortable, dismissed, and taken advantage of. I struggle with significant anxiety around doctors, especially in clinical settings, and instead of feeling supported, I felt judged and spoken down to. The provider I met with had very poor bedside manner and made assumptions about me and my body within minutes of meeting me. At one point, she even commented that I was "getting bright red" while questioning me, which only heightened my anxiety. I was too nervous to speak up in the moment. What stood out the most was being told multiple times that I "never have to come back" and could just return to the Smithtown location. That felt unprofessional and dismissive--especially given that I had just paid a significant amount out of pocket for the visit. To make matters worse, I was informed that treatment would require a follow-up appointment, leaving me feeling stuck after spending money on a visit that ultimately didn't help me. I deeply regret not staying with my original location. I've referred many friends and family members to Schweiger Dermatology over the years and truly value the practice as a whole, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I sincerely wish my visit to the Deer Park office had reflected the level of care and compassion I've consistently received elsewhere.

Before that, the doctors he had been seeing could not make a correct diagnosis and prescribe the appropriate treatment. The doctor immediately determined what kind of disease it was and prescribed an ointment. A few days later, there was a noticeable improvement. I want to note that the doctor was very attentive, polite, and took his time. His staff is also amazing. I know for sure that if any dermatological or cosmetic problems arise in our family, we will only be treated by Dr. Applebaum.

Had to have MOHS surgery yesterday on my ear for basal cell cancer...I had been seen by other…read moredermatologists in the past for this problem (not these offices) and they did not do anything to correct or treat it. Dr. Leftkowitz and his assistant, Danielle were absolutely terrific. Took a while, yes to remove everything. (That is what you would want, no?) but Dr. Leftkowitz was thorough, friendly, humorous and highly-skilled. Danielle, his assistant was incredibly comforting, sweet and professional in every way. Experienced, compassionate, and such a wonderful human being. Felt like an "old" friend. A great team and I am so thankful I had them. Because this issue was not treated properly in the past by others,( it had gone deeper) it was a long, timely procedure, but I felt reassured in their competence in removing all the cancer cells. Had to have the plastic surgeon, Dr. Singer suture up the wound but he took the time to make the best decision in what would cosmetically look best and promote the proper healing. It was a large wound and required numerous stitches, but I felt confident in his decision-making. Dr. Singer is another asset to this dermatology office. ***I honestly DO NOT understand all the terrible previous reviews..the staff here were kind, efficient as they could be considering the incredible volume of patients seen, and very pleasant. Friendly, understanding and highly professional. A definite 5 star experience for me. Pleased with the whole Advanced Dermatology experience here in W. Islip and Amityville with Dr. Flashner.

I have never felt rushed, waited more than 10 minutes, or had an issue making an appointment. The receptionists, nurses and medical assistants are wonderful. Dr. Dalben has an amazing bedside manner, she's down to earth and truly cares about her patients. Would recommend her to anyone looking for a dermatologist.

Wow! just wow! I just got back from what was supposed to be a 2:30pm appointment. Prior to today's…read moredate I called and was told to arrive about 15 minutes early to fill out the paperwork. I did even better than that, arriving at 2:10pm. The problem is/was no one was in the office, and I mean nor a single person. I waited until about my appointment time and called their main #. The "gentleman" that answered the phone was extremely rude, insisting that there were people there and I must be wrong about the whole thing. This discussion went back and forth for awhile and I finally asked him to call their Lindenhurst office #. He begrudgingly agreed, and put me on hold. When he returned he said no one was picking up the phone (I know...because no one is there). He still insisted that somehow the fault lied with me, and said you can either continue to wait, or we can reschedule. Reschedule? what about the fact that I left work early? I advised that I would continue to wait. At a certain point I decided to pick up something at the store across the street. When I returned, on what was now 3p, it was the same situation. The office was still dark, the door were still locked and no one was there. I am so angry about this I can't begin to tell you. I would NEVER consider returning there and either should you. Oh, and in case you guys would like to dispute my account of the events, be aware that I had the foresight to make a little recording of my little adventure, with what is perhaps the most unprofessional medical practice on Earth. and would be VERY HAPPY to share with everyone so.....bring it!!!
