I absolutely was so happy with the cupcakes we got! Last minute I had another place cancel and Andrea really came through and helped create these adorable cupcakes for my sons birthday. I will definitely be giving her all my business for parties!

Got a great peppa pig cake for my daughter's birthday party!! The design was spot on, and the cake was delicious. Fresh tasting and the frosting was creamy and light, I don't usually like frosting but this was delicious. All of our guests asked where we got it! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 was because it was supposed to be a chocolate cake and we got vanilla--a delicious vanilla though! We'll have to order again to try chocolate.

    Superhero cupcakes

Andrea makes the most amazing cakes and cupcakes for all occasions! She is so talented and exceeds our expectations in everything she creates. Not only is she flexible, but she is easy to communicate with. She is also reasonably priced and provides delivery. I highly recommend!

The City Cafe & Bakery in Fayetteville seems to be a staple of the community. I visited twice now…read more&, both times, noticed groups of families and friends gathering happily to celebrate birthdays and special occasions ! Note for out-of-town visitors -- I think dining here is more about the aspect of communal dining than expectations for a truly 5-star meal, as I've found the food to be overall average. Especially for the price. The hostess is friendly and helpful. My waitresses have been attentive and kind. The service is good and consistent. The food menu is very limited in options for vegans & vegetarians. They serve beer, wine & spirits. There is a drink menu available upon request for beer, wine and spirits. There was a guitar player playing beautiful live music for the duration of my first visit (Feb 2026). During my most recent visit (8 April 2026), I ordered the Pecan Crusted grouper with red cabbage & seasonal veggies. The grouper was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside & topped with a strawberry mango fruit compote. Both the cabbage and veggies were overcooked which was disappointing bc I appreciate some good texture! The flavors were good though. So if completely softened veggies are your thing, I think you'd enjoy them. To drink, I ordered a mocktail that is new to the drink menu -- a Triple Citrus Paloma. It was refreshingly tart & garnished with a honey dipped Tajin rim! Shoutout to Lucinda for curating it. Additionally, my husband and I shared the salmon croquettes as an appetizers & I had the key lime tart to go. Neither was necessarily memorable (I completely forgot about them until prompted by Yelp to review this review) but I'd order the croquettes again! City Cafe & Bakery has a pretty vast selection of desserts! Cakes. Pies. Tarts. Petit fours. Cookies. Cannolis. Cheesecake. Eclairs. Mousse. Everything is baked in-house except the macarons. Be sure to ask about the promos. Wednesday & Thursday, purchase an adult entree get a free slice of cake or any 3" pastry. Wednesday thru Saturday, kids eat free from 3-8 pm. I also saw a flyer for their Mother's Day brunch buffet on Sunday, May 10th. It's from 11 am - 3 pm. $49 for Adults. $29 for Kids, under 12. Available for booking online.

Yes I have been there before and only give them 4 stars probably because their reputation was so big I needed to balance that... Totally in on 5 stars now. #1 Food -- been around FOREVER but still hear of people making it a point to support the locally owned business. Now they partner with the local brewery AWKWARD for Octoberfest and that has opened up new doors for them... and they celebrate on their patio all month long. The bakery is one of the best in the area. I was able to order sausage through them for a special party that they buy from a meat packer WAY on the other side of Atlanta. #2 Service -- the fact that they would work with me to add on to their meat order shows they care about the community and their customers. That they would partner with a small brewery to bring their Schnitzel and all the other things they make great that are traditional German dishes shows openness to collaborate and grow rather than compete. And they are very efficient in house to keep the table moving without feeling rushed, because there almost always is a wait at dinner. #3 Small dining area, but feels as comfortable as grandmas. Authentic 'bistro' decor. The bakery goods case is the showcase in the room... always calling out for desert or tomorrow's breakfast to take home with you.

It was early on a Tuesday night, so it wasn't very busy. My drink came out quickly, and the food followed not long after. I ordered the Tequila Mockingbird cocktail, which was amazing, but only if you're a mezcal fan. If you're not into that smoky flavor, this probably isn't your drink. For food, I asked the bartender what burger to get, and she recommended the classic burger with cheese, so I went with that and added sweet potato fries. The burger and fries were delicious, simple, well done, and exactly what I was hoping for. The inside has a really nice dark, rustic vibe that fits the town perfectly. Staff was friendly, and overall the whole experience felt easy and relaxed. They do take reservations, but since I went early, I didn't need one. I can definitely see this place getting packed with tourists during busier times. Overall, a great spot in a charming little town. I'd come back.

Service was great, especially for a busy weekend. Our appetizer came out pretty quick, but there was a bit of a wait for our meals. Longer than expected, which is why I feel like the food was left under a heat lamp; as my chicken was a tad on the tough side. We ordered the: Margherita flatbread Nic-N-Chicken Southern Fried Ribs Brussels sprouts Sweet potato fries Sidewinder fries Gouda grits Mashed Potatoes The flatbread was fantastic! My husband said his ribs were pretty good. The grits and mashed potatoes, both rich, thick and creamy, perfect texture and flavor on both. The side winder fries had a fun shape, and fried just right. The sauce on the Nic-N-Chicken was so good it made me forget it was overcooked. It was like a BBQ based sauce with onions and mushrooms over chicken breast The Brussels sprouts had goat cheese and normally comes with bacon, which I omitted. Loved it! The sweet potato fries were cut thick and also fried to perfection. The only down side was the overcooked chicken and the extended wait which I think led to the culinary boo boo. Over all: Great food, customer service, ambience, location! I'll definitely return, you should check em' out as well:)

And to my surprise, it was more than I was expecting. It was an old-fashioned brownie with the edges--you know, the chewy sides with a touch of burnt edges that we all loved. Also, they make cakes, and I loved the pretty green one. So I got a bit nosy, asking questions, and found that this is a full bakery. Yes, you can stop in and get a slice of cake, pies, and all kinds of delicious treats like brownies and cupcakes. But you can also order a whole cake. I like to say specialty cakes because they have flavors like the pretty Key Lime Cake with cream cheese icing on the outside and green on the inside. Another one that stands out is the Butter Pecan Cheesecake, Strawberry Crunch Cheesecake, or the Sweet Potato Red Velvet Custard Pie. It's truly a dessert paradise. One more thing: they cater to the holidays. If it's Labor Day, there will be treats dressed with the holiday decorations.

My sis purchased a red velvet from Shoppers Value when she saw they were sold in stores. She knows I'm not big on red velvet and am partial to the one cooked by Patricia Lyman. So to get me to purchase it, she said it's like Patricia's. The color was spot on but taste wise it wasn't to me. The cake was a little on the dry side. I even lifted the cakes to get the expiration date that was furthest out which was 9/30/25. Even if the cake had been freshly cooked today, there is no way I would even keep a cake in my house for this long. It's lucky to sit a whole week. I will upload locations in Macon these can be purchased from. I ONLY went to Shoppers Value because it was closest. But with the 10% extra charge I do not frequent here at all. My thing is you are not giving me a discounted rate if you charge 10% on top of the other tax. Just charge me regular price off the bat. Back to the cake...there are other flavors such as key lime and strawberry crunch so I recommend you try it for yourself. It would probably make a difference to try these when they are freshly baked. We tried three different pastries, and none were great. The cheese danish was the worst. It wasn't made on flaky pastry. It was like a thick, chewy slab of pizza crust with some cheese and jam on top. Literally, the texture and taste was exactly like a thick, stale pizza crust. So confusing. The chocolate macaron was hard as a rock. We went across the street to the bookstore after and got macarons that were delicate, soft, and melted in our mouths, and the difference was striking. The gf pop tart was the best of the three, but even that was doughy and falling apart so that's not saying a lot! Overall, for a bakery, I was really disappointed. Coffee is consistently good, but man. The pastries really fell short.
