4 words: Chocolate Cream Filled Donuts - Uh Mah Gooooodnessssss!! Schuler's is a Springfield tradition and staple. If you grow up in Springfield you've consumed dozens and dozens of their cookies and donuts guaranteed. Schuler's is a family run bakery with 2 locations. I must admit I miss the tiny Mitchell Rd. store, but hell regardless of the location, the sweets are damn good. Their chocolate cream filled donuts are our favorite. We're also partial to their glazed, butterfly & chocolate chip cookies and iced pumpkin cookies. This is sugar induced coma at it's finest. Schuler's is the type of place that every out of towner gets taken to while they're visiting, where every local that has moved away stops first thing when they get back and where locals that live out of town beg their family to bring them when they come to visit. This stuff is addicting. Their donuts are really light and fluffy with tons of great glazes and toppings. They are hearty donuts too, nothing whimpy and small. Be sure you have a big glass of ice cold milk, cause you're gonna need it upon eating a goodie at Schuler's. Schuler's reminds me of my childhood. Waking up on the weekends and excited to see the big white box with blue lettering on the table. SCHULER'S..............If you're passing through town it's definitely worth a stop to get a taste for yourself of the yummy goodness Schuler's has to offer. And don't go a blaming me when you get addicted and gain 10 pounds from your multiple visits, just call me up and we'll go donut diving together. MMmmm Mmmmm Mmmmm

Worth the money !! Very inexpensive !!!

I bought some pumpkin cookies yesterday. They weren't good at all. Way too much icing. Cookie too thin and icing too thick.

This place is good. Cupcakes were awful but the glazed donuts are delicious. The staff was friendly.

Had the whole wheat donut recently and it was gummy in texture. I couldn't finish it. Their quality has diminished over the years.

I debated leaving a review, but I think I'm being fair and since it's a new business, I think it's…read moreimportant to share. I went in to this new bakery because I really felt I needed to find the perfect cake to celebrate a 60th anniversary for my wonderful in-laws. Springfield has very few options but I had very high hopes that it'd be great and I wouldn't have to go to Beavercreek or wherever to get this special cake. I knew I didn't want to transport a 2 tier cake but needed a cake large enough for 30-40 people. The sample she showed me (below w/ cutting instructions) looked like it was a good choice. One large cake with "Happy 60th Anniversary" written on it. What I got was "Happy 60 Anniversar" Also not very elegant looking writing. I think even I could've possibly done a better job. Our get together was on a Sunday, but the owner of the shop had a bridal shower so I'd have to pick it up Friday, 2 days prior. That was fine so I brought my son so he could carry and hold the cake until I got it home. Luckily we have an extra fridge and it wasn't a problem. He noticed it immediately as well, I really was kind of surprised it looked this way. I hoped it wouldn't be noticeable but it definitely was. Every one immediately noticed the "y" missing and commented "where's the 'y'?" - actually it was covered up with flowers and noticed it also sounded odd, Happy 60 anniversary instead of 60th. The owner didn't point out the covered up "y" and actually when I said 'where's the y'? She made no apology or offered to fix the issue. If this was a $50 Walmart cake I think they would've offered to correct it in some way but $145 cake ( plus 4% service charge-not sure what that's about), I just felt it could've looked more professional. The cake itself was pretty good. It fed the party but in hindsight I probably should've asked for some correction.

Walked in last week and ordered this cake! The owner was so nice and talked with an employee who…read morebrought my vision to life! After 6 hours of travel, we ate the cake and it was so good!
