This was very early and in my business.I also would do a door to door flyer drop, like a doorknob flyer, which means I would pass service, a couple thousand dollars to go and put 5000 door hangers in a specified neighborhood, advertising my products and services. Janelle gave me a completely different strategy that has paid off vastly better than anything that I've done. It's more of a Grassroots strategy. It's much more organic. Janelle's idea to do customer testimonials for my customers, really boosted our exposure to our ideal client. Most construction prospects, most construction clients, although they come from all different places and backgrounds, and they have different beliefs, they all are really looking for the same thing. They're all looking for a company that can trust, that can do high quality work, and won't live them high and dry. I don't think there was a good way to convey that, without it sounding like it was shameless self-promotion before. For my customers now, to hear those words coming out of our previous customers' mouths, in a recorded video and interview testimonial is extremely valuable, both to me, and to my current, and future prospects. Since Janelle started taking over our marketing we've gotten probably 10 times the amount of social media leads than we ever would have had before. We have an awesome website, we had zero websites before. The different types of leads that we get nowadays are direct referral, so customer to customer. We get a massive amount of Facebook and Instagram leads. And we get a very healthy amount of web leads, from Google reviews, or somebody doing a Google search for contractors or construction around our area because we get a lot of clicks from our website, form the blog, and our SEO, which Janelle does. Another really cool thing that she does that not your average digital marketer has the skill or the ability to do is, she's created in person events for our business. We really wanted to hit the streets hard about a year ago with building ADU's. We saw a good need for it in our community. We saw a lot of people that were interested in building them. We didn't know how to advertise for it. Janelle actually put together an in-person seminar at the DoubleTree Hotel. She helped me put together a large slideshow that helped people understand how ADU's bring value to people's homes.
