10 Reasons Why I Will NEVER Do Business with Ready Artwork: (I have never written a negative review before on yelp, so here we go..) # 1: The owner of Ready artwork, Victor, is the epitome of Bad Business and Greed. His business practices reflect the motto of "Business First, Customer Last" # 2: Their proposal put me into a position that would end up costing me thousands of dollars more than necessary. I am now working with an even better web design company that will come out to half the cost of Ready Art's Proposal. # 3: I called Monday morning, canceling my project 4 days after giving my credit card information (they were closed on the weekends) and Victor without hesitation said he could not refund any of the $1400 nonrefundable deposit. # 4: I paid $1400 for a 40 minute initial FREE consultation!! When all I did was explain what I wanted. # 5: I offered to pay $200 for the 40 minutes I took of his time. These 40 minutes was before I even committed to anything, so it was just a mere introduction. And Victor told me, "I am insulted that you value my time for $200." # 6: Victor's reasoning for not being able to give any refund was having to pay for "rent, salary, insurance." What does that matter to me, when you did not do any work? # 7: I had to pay 50% more for the project because I wanted a "responsive" site, meaning a mobile friendly site. Which could have been easily solved just by using a wordpress template instead of fully customizing it as Victor strongly told me to. And shouldn't I get a partial refund if the 50% increase was due to making it mobile friendly, which is a phase that they obviously couldn't have gone to? # 8: Victor told me later, another reason he could not refund the money was because his team had already started on the project, which was a LIE because the team never spoke with me so they could not know what I wanted. Even Victor could barely understand my vision as I had to explain it multiple times. On top of that, they were closed for the weekend, so I can't imagine what work they could have possibly done. # 9: To be understanding, I agreed to let Victor notify me how much time his team spent on the project so he could calculate a partial refund. He gave me an email response saying he could reduce 1,400 to 700 but saying NOTHING about how much time was spent or what work was produced. Neither would he let me talk to his team leader personally on the phone. I wonder why, since no work was done . . . I am sorry but I still did not see why I should pay 700 for 40 minutes of me telling him what I wanted for my website. And after all the dishonesty, dodging and rudeness, I was just fed up with Victor and Ready artwork. # 10: On my last phone call to Ready Artwork, I asked to speak to Victor and instead of handling the issue professionally, he refused to speak to me on the phone and relegated to communicating over email. I found it extremely rude and unprofessional that he would refuse to communicate with me more personally on such an important matter. That was the last straw which pushed me to write this review. ________________________________________________ My ultimate recommendation is to not do business with Ready Artwork because, ultimately you want to work with somebody who cares, as opposed to just seeing dollars signs. The very best work come from people who really care and are passionate about the service they are providing. ___________________________________________________ Also, Ready Artwork will charges 50% more than for their services. I was originally quoted $3,800 which included design of site. Afterwards, I worked with another web designer and completed the design aspect of my site and then proposed to work with them again because they said I could use my initial deposit as credit, and they changed their initial quote and quoted me $5,500 (not including the design). I am now working with another great wordpress programmer who only charged me $2600. This place is a rip off. What I recommend doing, is yelping web designers/programmers in San Francisco. read more

This review is solely based on their turnaround time for trying to get a quote. I received an e-mail at the end of a Monday. We exchanged a total of two e-mails before I lost communication with the company. As a potential client, I don't believe it should be my responsibility to prod and pry for a rough estimate, so I took the lack of a timely reply as disinterest in my business. I'm not blaming the them as I am sure that they are busy, and have many projects to work on. It is also quite apparent that they do a good job. However, I didn't have time to wait around for them, and brought my business to another company that was much more responsive. read more

My 9 month journey with Ready started off with Victor's thorough consultation via phone then in person. We discussed my needs/wants for my site before the start of the project and compared to other companies I was deciding between, I felt like Victor and his team would follow through, deliver and be patient.
