My wife and I had a great experience with our initial visit to Volvo Cars Cincinnati East. Devon…read moreWhite greeted us warmly and professionally - asking us what we were interested in. While we didn't know for sure - we knew we wanted an SUV, so he described the line up. And we narrowed our choice down to 2 models and he quickly offered us a test drive of both. After our test drives, he answered our questions, gave us additional information and his card, and offered to help us as we got closer to making a decision. No pressure - just helpful and professional. We will be working with him if we buy a Volvo for sure.

I accurately diagnosed my Volvo with a power steering fluid leak -- thanks for the lesson, Dad!…read more Volvo Cincinnati confirmed the diagnosis, and asked me to leave it for service to be completed within days. Following is the timeline of [non]events; Monday -- I left the car at Volvo Cincinnati. Tuesday -- No news Wednesday -- I received a call from Ron to the effect that the necessary part was not in stock, and would not be available for two weeks. I offered to retrieve the part from Louisville and/or Nashville Volvo while traveling for work. No go -- the part had to be ordered from Sweden. Ron apologized profusely. I appreciated the predicament that the initial service rep put him in; however, there was no offer of a loaner. (It would have been a nice gesture given the lengthy delay.) Two weeks and a few days later after a couple of terse text messages describing my frustration over the situation -- the car was ready. ($1k+) Two days later -- Power steering fluid GUSHES from the car so badly that I had to have it towed back to Volvo Cincinnati. (See photo). Ron arranged for a loaner this time. No charge for the extra service--a loose connection caused by a rusty component. I have so many questions. Why did the initial service rep not know that the part was unavailable? Why did it take two weeks to arrive? Did I receive such bad service because my Volvo is an older model? Because I'm an older model? Because I'm a woman? Why did the mechanics not replace the rusty component while they were initially servicing the car? Why did they not notice a loose power steering fluid receptacle? Why was I not offered a loaner at the outset of the delay? Why didn't I go to Sweden myself for the part? Is this luxury service for a luxury brand? In the end, I don't care what the answers are because I will never again consider Volvo Cincinnati for service or sales. One star is for Ron who handled the situation, to include my terse texts, like a damage-control pro.

My husband and I traveled 8 hours from Iowa (16 hours round trip) to purchase a used GMC Sierra…read morewith only 9,000 miles from this dealership. Before making the trip, our salesperson, Reuben, repeatedly assured us the truck was in "immaculate condition." He even sent us a walkaround video and told us there were no dents, dings, or issues. We specifically asked for photos or videos of any flaws, and he told us there were none. We completed nearly all of the paperwork ahead of time, brought a cashier's check as requested, and even agreed to finance through the dealership instead of our own bank after they encouraged us to do so. When we arrived, before we had even seen or test-driven the truck, Reuben immediately tried to rush us into signing the financing paperwork. We insisted on inspecting the truck first, and he became visibly upset and walked away. Within minutes of looking over the truck, we found numerous issues that had never been disclosed: * Rock chips all around the exterior that had not been touched up. * Glue dripping from the sunglasses holder onto the center console. * Glue stains on the center console and the sunglasses compartment. * Glue on the headliner that appeared permanent and would require replacement. * Reuben had previously told us the sunglasses holder had been replaced, not repaired with glue. * The interior had clearly not been detailed and was very dirty. * A chunk missing from the passenger door panel. * Most concerning, there was nesting material from an animal under the hood. We understand that used vehicles are not perfect, and we were not expecting a brand-new truck. However, we do expect honesty and accurate representation, especially after asking multiple times about the truck's condition before driving across multiple states. The General Sales Manager, Gabe, listened to our concerns and attempted to remove the glue from the headliner himself. Unfortunately, it would not come out. He offered an additional $500 off the truck, but we felt the damage warranted replacing the headliner and sunglasses console, which the dealership declined to do. Throughout the entire situation, Reuben disappeared and made no effort to help resolve the issues or apologize for the inaccurate information we had been given. Instead of addressing the problems with the truck we came to purchase, we were encouraged to buy a brand-new Sierra that was well outside our budget. This trip cost us far more than just our time. We drove 16 hours round trip, paid for gas, food, a hotel, and a babysitter for our children, only to find a vehicle that was nothing like it had been represented. Honesty and transparency go a long way. Had the dealership been upfront about the truck's condition, we could have made an informed decision before spending the time and money to travel from Iowa. Instead, we left disappointed and feeling that our time and trust were not valued. I hope this review encourages the dealership to be more transparent with future customers, especially those traveling long distances based on the representations made by their sales staff.
