The owner claims to have come by, however, even though I was home, he never "came to the door" so at this time I am unsure if he truly did the on-site inspection. He assured me he did come by, and his original quote was correct. I was told depending on weather, they were scheduling 3 weeks out after down payment was received. I requested weekly updates on the scheduling. I was initially informed that my project could happen the week of July 13th. An update was provided late June moving my project to mid-August due to rain. I questioned that because we weren't having rain. I shared that I may cancel my job after speaking to my realtor and I would let them know within 2-3 days if I would cancel. Ironically, I received a message a day later they would be there the next morning to begin work. I am disappointed in their work. The owner left out 38 feet x 10 feet of area. When I challenged it, he responded saying he left it out of the quote? I responded saying, it didn't make any sense because on the north and south side of this space he could clearly see the area is seeded with lawn. This section was torn up because we removed shrubbery and pine trees and it made no sense to leave this section incomplete. He said, well, I didn't include it in the quote. I replied, and this is why I specifically asked you to stop by and meet me so that he completely understood my requirements. The area was a mess as the previous owner didn't seed this part and it had a mixture of mulch and gravel. They did a very poor job of prepping the area for seeding. As I look at this space, there is a lot of gravel in this area left behind. He admittedly said he received poor "fill" as the topsoil and had bid 7 yards, but needed to purchase 10 because what he purchased was not good. I agree wholeheartedly with his statement. It was clumpy, clay and they did very little to make this area flat. I did tell Ryan the owner that I am sorry he purchased such poor topsoil, however, that was not my fault, but his. The grass is growing in areas, however, I will be picking up stones/rocks before I can cut this area. The crew hand seeded, meaning crew just took handfuls of seed and tossed it around. The result of this seeding is large areas with no seed that I have had to fill in. In the second part of this project, I Included having them put in edging around the house, weed prevention material, and mulch. About 2 weeks in, I started to plant shrubs around the house. In the back, as I began to start adding in the shrubbery, I noticed a pile of mulch in the middle of this particular section, piled rather high up against my home. At first, I thought nothing of it. When I finally got to planting this section, I smoothed out the mulch and it was then that I realized the crew had damaged my siding. The mulch was stacked to cover the damage which is a hole in the siding about 2-3 inches wide. There is no way to make a repair as the entire piece that was knocked out is nowhere to be found. I normally don't write reviews, however, if you get a quote from Ryan, I would make sure he is not making a decision on his own on what to include or not include. I would check your home to make sure mulch is not piled high to cover damaged siding. As an FYI, I had 3 other quotes, all within $500. However, leaving out the section he decided NOT to include, his price now is much higher than the other quotes I received. I strongly suggest proceeding with caution if you receive a quote and decide to hire Ryan and Appleton Lawn, Snow Landscaping. I have included photos. The area he left out is a bit difficult to show, however, the picture showing the damaged siding is very clear.

I was getting off the exit going on to the HWY to Green Bay and the guy in the #9 truck almost ran us off the road he sped up as I was about to merge me and the person behind me both almost got sideswiped and if we did we would have rolled because it's a hill directly off the part of the HWY. I called them several times and have yet to get a reply. No one answers the phones how do they even get any actual business it's ridiculous. So watch out for their vehicles unless the possibility of death intrigues you!

I would have done one in the back as well but we wanted something poured. In the back, we had custom railings made from Valley Unit Step, partly because they fit perfectly to our poured slab steps, and also because we just felt far more comfortable having professionals install the railings. It only took about a month for them to fabricate the handrails for our back stoop, and they installed our front steps and back railings at the same time. They are both beautiful and we are very happy with the work. I was so happy I even had to call and ask for my bill so I could pay for the fantastic service! I had them lay bullet edgers around my house, plant several flowers for us, and fill in with red granite. I also had them extend our patio with red granite. Ryan and his team started at 8am and finished at 5pm. When they finished they cleaned and swept up everything and even planted some grass seed around the edging. They were awesome and I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a landscaping job big or small.

We had many communication and he did the work timely. The patio looks good even though he didn't match the patio bricks with the existing patio. The problem is that we were installing a hot tub with a gazebo and the area is not the size we needed to fit the gazebo design we were going to install. We thought we were getting a 12 x 12 ft area which is what we needed for our hot tub and gazebo. On the day of excavating we went over what we wanted but because we didn't have a drawing and they didn't even take the time to get a piece of paper to do a simple layout so everyone would understand the way we wanted it was not done the way we wanted and could of been avoided with a drawing. The patio wasn't 12 ft wide which we needed. The footings were not in the correct place because the patio was not the correct size. Not only that they didn't leave the footings exposed so now we have to remove the blocks a dig for the footings. We contacted them to explain our concerns and they offered no resolution, not even to expose the footings, but blamed it on miscommunications. I feel that they are the professionals and should of made sure everyone understood what the plan was by doing a drawing. I wouldn't hire them again or recommend them. I wish we would of waited for Proscape who did our first patio, they are way more professional and do great work.

But, when we called around to get quotes on the lift, it was next to impossible to get calls back from anyone--understandable, as it is a difficult time of year to get this type of work done. Not only did Tom himself call us, but was out the next day to give us a quote. When he said he thought he could have it done within the next week (the only other quote was over 3 weeks out), squeezing us in, we were thrilled. Radtke was out at the time they promised, installed the lift, and we've never had any problems. They provide outstanding service and response time, as well as (obviously) project management with scheduled work. We'd recommend them highly, and are very pleased!
