Love this place. I am in Bismarck and I remember Schlotskys from days gone by. So I took the opportunity to try them again. The original is the same as it was and that makes it very good. Too expensive for the food you get. I do recommend Bogo Wednesdays where you buy one pizza and get one free but other than that I wouldn't go there. Had an online order and sat there while the staff walked past me for 10 minutes without even asking if I was helped. Then the girl comes and brings my order, no thank you or anything, kind of rude. Two medium combos for $27 to me is expensive when the sandwich looks nothing like the one on the menu with about half the meat. I'll go somewhere else and spend money if I'm gonna spend that much on lunch. read more

The dining room was not open, which didn't surprise me during covid. I had a very difficult time trying to understand the speaker at the drive thru. There were only 2 soups available out of 7 or so. It was a little spendy considering I ordered 3 sandwiches and 3 soups. Once I got home we dug in. My wife didn't care for the cheese soup. She said the club sandwich was ok but, nothing special. I had the tomato, basel soup and enjoyed it but, my cheddar and beef was totally boring. I couldn't even taste the cheese or sauce. The beef was alright but, no real flavor. Bread was good but, that's not good enough to justify the cost. My son was satisfied however, it's easy to feed a growing boy. THEY HAVE CINNABON!!! Enuf' said. They do deli sandwiches on some pretty interesting bread. Looks like giant english muffins with cheese baked into them. Really good stuff. Thinly sliced meat and all kinds of veggies Gets packed during lunch though, so be prepared if you have a shorter lunch break, I suggest going as a carpool for better parking. read more

Not having eaten at a Schlotzsky's in 17 years, today's experience was very nice. Ordered a Schlotzsky's turkey original sandwich and a cup of soup. The sandwich was really really good. Great food, horrible atmosphere. Every employee was short, dismissive, and sassy. The employee on the till made me feel as if I was in the wrong at the till when all I did was order. He was condescending and seemed angry. The young woman that was in lobby was also short with me when I asked a question about the food. Met friends there for lunch, lots of people there. I eat a lot of SW salads when eating out, Ordered it here. A huge salad came, way more than normal lunch salad, cost was $8.49. Salad was layers of lettuce & shredded cheese, tons of each. I had 3 pieces of corn & 2 beans. I had to dig for them. There was a partial chicken breast cut in strips that had no seasoning on it. I choose a couple dressings so I basically tasted cheese & dressing. It was not good. I got 2 strips of buttered grilled bread, that was good. Wow, can't figure out why they call it SW, it was a lettuce/cheese salad. Was very disappointed. Friends all had sandwiches that looked good. People were friendly, place was clean. I love the new building that Schlotzsky's now shares with Cinnabon. The set up is SO nice and it always looks so clean. I love that the veggies are always really fresh and when I order to go, it's always really fresh and still hot. I generally have mixed feelings about the staff as I don't always get the best service but the food keeps me coming back for more. read more

I've had good and bad experiences at this Schlotskys. Tonight, I ordered the California flatbread, just based on the photo on the menu board. When it arrived, the server said, "we're out of avocado." Which pretty much is the main reason it's called a Californian...and what I was most looking forward to. Over the top, they had poured a lot of sauce, a spicy mayonnaise thing. It seemed like a secret sauce you'd put on hamburgers. I thought I'd ordered something relatively healthy, and ended up feeling like I was eating cheap fast food. The flat bread itself was good, as was everything under the sauce. But in my book, Schlotskys just took a step down. read more

I ordered flatbread & bit down on a hard, foreign substance. I can't tell if it's a rock, bone or what. It cracked my filling. I contacted HQ and so far have been completely ignored. Aside from that, they are constantly out of things at this location. It's ridiculous. read more
