Friendly and expert care was given. Very knowledgeable. Appointment was at my convenience and was treated with courtesy.

She had an appointment after her first cataract surgery and we were trying to decide if having the second one was worth the struggle we had to go through with her forgetting her eye drops, etc. She had terrible anxiety. Her caregiver brought her to her appointment and called me as I'm in a different state. We tried to ask him questions and explain my mother's situation. He had no empathy, was unable to communicate or address her anxiety, or answer my question on if the second eye was needed as I had been told the first surgery was on the most aggressive cataract. He refused to answer anything other than the surgery should be scheduled. He was abrupt, rude, and uncaring. I tried to explain that having 3 bottles of drops for a month was very hard for her. My husband just had cataract surgery and was able to get his drops compounded so he just had one bottle. And got no help at all with this. I finally had to call the manager of the clinic and she was very helpful and able to find a way to reduce the eye drops. And thankfully she switched my mother's follow ups to Dr. Emily Brill who my mother absolutely loves. I wish we had changed to her immediately. I hope he's a good surgeon, but if you want someone to care and communicate with you, he's not the Dr for you!

He recommended YAG Laser surgery (to get rid of any scar tissue). He was very rude and left the exam room w/o being given a chance to ask questions. I went to another specialist who told me that the $1600 Toric lens Dr. Pfister inserted was "not a good choice" and that the YAG laser treatment would not do me any good at all. Furthermore, it was too late to "do" anything about the Toric Lens. That any surgery to remove the lens would probably result in more damage than benefits. I was referred to a cornea specialist for further consultation. I used the Falcon Field location of Southwestern Eye Clinic. I won't use them again. I'll check with YELP next time I need professional help.
