I literally sat there for 10 minutes listening to them talk about the lady that just left and even about their complaints about a shipment. No filter for personal information. I would give a no stars if I could. I moved from Phoenix a couple months ago. I came here because I have always gone here and I enjoyed the service and quality of the glasses and doctors. This location I had a horrible experience, the employees were rude, didn't even look at me and were only pretending to be nice. The doctor on Telehealth was awesome! It was fully disappointed because I have been coming here for so many years and I expected the same genuine feeling from this location. Been going to this location for years. Didn't know Dr. Ripley had retired. When my former optometrist had retired, he sent out letters to his patients along with their file records. Dr. Martin was a the BEST! But Dr. Ripley was a good Dr., too. Now Natiinwide has a different doctor. Seems pretty nice. Answered all my questions and half the staff was pleasant when I went in to get my prescription adjusted. It had been a couple years since my last visit with Dr. Ripley. After the exam, the new Dr. specifically told one of the "ladies" in the office about the kind of assistance I needed in picking out my frames. She nodded ok to him. He left the room and she directed me to the frames to choose from but she didn't help me pick out any frames. So I did it myself, but I was a bit slow in making my decision because I had never done this by myself before. Someone at Dr. Ripley's office always assisted me and I always had a good experience. I was told to "hurry up, we're closing soon!" I told them I was "sorry for taking so long but nobody was helping me." Today, I go in to pickup my new glasses and the "lady" was so rude to me! I couldn't help but tell her "that was a shitty thing to say to me! You need to grow up!" I can't believe this generation today is so ungrateful for their customers who put food on their tables. My son is a doctor. I went to medical school, too. The first thing you learn in medical law and ethics is this... "IF YOU DO NOT HAVE COMPASSION FOR PEOPLE, YOU DO NOT BELONG IN THE INDUSTRY." I wish the new Dr. well. I will not be going back to Nationwide Vision in Kingman. I'm pretty sure there are other eye doctors' employees who understand what real customer service means. That "lady" was a bitch to me, and I even complimented her on the glasses she was wearing. I feel for the new Dr. Good luck to him! He deserves better staff, for sure! i have never dealt with a more unprofessional person in my life. when ordering glasses told them did not want no line bifocals. the manager actually got angry when i told her the no line were dangerous and that we have family member injured falling on stairs due to the no line blurs. she insisted that should get the no line and said if i didnt like them we could switch them to line bifocals. when they arrived could not see anything through them at not in the top or bottom of the lens could not see at all. she insisted i take them home were them for a couple weeks and "train my brain" to use them, told her can not see any thing in them and that i was told they could be changed to line if i was not happy with the no line. she became enraged with anger said she would not change them. and i would get a part fund restocking fees i dont know for sure. then told me that she would not do the refund for 3 weeks and i would lose the benefits, because the benefits expired at the end of the year they are the only company that take the insurance, so no glasses for me. i will contact the insurance co. if they do not help my husband and i will change insurance co, to a company that has professional contractors. that do not resort to anger when a customer do not agree with them read more

I went to the Nationwide Vision Centers in Kingman to get a new set of eye glasses. I live 100 miles from Kingman and to go there it is a 200 mile round trip. I ordered the new eye glasses, one clear lens and one with tinted lenses. I was notified that the eye glasses were ready to pick up so I made the trip to Kingman and when I arrived to pick up the glasses I found that the one pair that was supposed to be tinted was clear instead. I was told that they would have to send it back to get the tinted lens put in. It would take another two weeks and then I could come back to pick it up. It is a 200 mile round trip plus a day of my time to do this. I asked them if the glasses could be mailed to me so I would not have to spend another day plus a 200 mile drive. They refused to mail the glasses to me. No one seemed to care and they were not interested in working with me to get this done. It was implied to me that they were doing me a favor by not charging me in sending the glasses back to get the tinted lens done correctly. It was Nationwide's mistake not mine that the glasses were not tinted as ordered. Why should I have to pay to get them done correctly. All I asked was to have the glasses done correctly and to mail them to me. They refused to do so. I would not recommend this office of Nationwide Vision because there is No customer service provided here. read more

I saw this Dr. at Nationwide to update my prescription for contacts, the Dr. gave me a trial pair and I ordered and paid for contacts through "Ashley" I got home and tried reading but had difficulty. I went to another Dr. at Mountain view Vision in Kingman, AZ. also. The Doctor there told me I had cateracs and needed to see a specialist for surgery, he also recommended I wait to order contacts or glasses until I see specialist. I returned to nationwide to tell them the contacts were not working, reading was blurry. He checked my eyes again and the assistant had given me another pair of contacts and I said to the Dr. "You know I went to Mountain view vision and the Doctor there said I had cateracs and needed surgery and Nationwide Dr. Replied " Oh yeah I didn't tell you, I must have forgot" I replied "NO you didn't" this is NEGLIGENCE and INTENTIAL as Ashley sold me contacts on my first visit and when I returned she told me contacts might not be working because of my age I am 64 years young and have only been wearing contacts part-time for approximately 15 years. I told her I needed to do a refund for the contacts I had ordered she told me I would get a check in the mail for the refund I have not received it upon reading their refund policy it stated that they charge a $40 restocking fee for contacts or glasses this is not my fault and I hope they don't charge me $40 restocking fee this is wrong totally wrong!!! read more

I purchased three pairs of glasses from the Kingman Arizona office. Manager Kia personally helped me with the transaction. Onsite staff is not very helpful and phone calls to the office went unanswered. I asked for 2 of my expensive, in "new condition frames" to be utilized with the removed lenses to be returned to me. Kia agreed to do this however the lenses were lost by the lab according to Kia. After two online video Optometrist eye exams and attempts to make the new glasses, the prescriptions are still very wrong and the glasses don't work. I want to be compensated for the loss of the lenses and a refund of $99 for the cost of the glasses that don't work correctly that I will return. I would think a different provider in Kingman Arizona would be a better choice. read more

I'm coming from California and on vacation in golden valley. My husbands glasses flew off on the jet ski. He didn't bring any pairs of glasses or contacts. I called multiple optometrist and no luck even tho he knew his prescription. So he was ended up calling nationwide and they told him he can come in anytime for his contacts. Not far from golden valley. Walked in they already remembered his name and gave him refreshers and free contacts. He can see again!!! I only wish I had a got the lady name that helped us. We were on vacation visiting the Grand Canyon when the tiny screw fell out of my eyeglasses and no way to repair it. We stopped by the Nationwide Vision office in Kingman Arizonza and explained that we were from out of town and my glasses had fallen apart. The lady, (I believe here name was Valerie but I could be mistaken on that part) immediately took my glasses, found a screw and had them fully operable again in less than 2 minutes. If you need glasses this is NOT the place you want to go, find some other place to do business, the glasses I received were expensive garbage, the lenses were made so badly I never wanted to wear them, they were eventually lost out of my pocket, so I thought well I paid for the insurance I'll get another pair maybe they will be better. I was originally told the insurance covered full replacement cost if lost or destroyed, there was no mention of any fee to use the insurance, who charges you fee to use the insurance you paid for ? When I went to get the replacements, I was told there would be a fee, 40% of the original purchase price fee to use the insurance, It would cost me $40. as I said this was never mentioned, if they had said there was a fee, I would never have paid for the insurance, (NOTE to self get insurance coverage statements in writing, that's the only way they will honor their coverage) what a ripoff, I demanded a refund for the $30 insurance fee I paid. Obviously I would never recommend these ripoffs, STAY AWAY, no one needs to be taken advantage of like this. It's pretty obvious what is going on here, they collect the insurance fee, if you never use it they are ahead $30, if you come in and try to use it they hit you with the 40% fee they failed to mention when you bought the insurance, if you complain they reluctantly refund you the insurance fee, It's no loss to them, AND they don't have to replace the glasses, again nothing out of their pocket. This is very shady business practice. It makes me wonder if their parent company knows they are doing this, they should this kind of thing gives a company a bad name ? read more

Only good thing about this office is the doctor. The staff is utterly useless and just plain rude. Glasses are you expensive. so I did not purchase. Change up the selection of frames and price. I recently had an appointment at Nationwide Vision Center with Dr. Ripley. I have some special needs with my vision and was a bit apprehensive to see a new ophthalmologist . Dr. Ripley and the whole team at Nationwide were wonderful!!! That put me at ease right away. They were so kind, patient and helpful. Dr. Ripley really listened to my thoughts and concerns. The customer service at Nationwide in Kingman, AZ has a lot to be desired. They seem to be in a hurry and do not take the time to explain things correctly or when u pick up your glasses, u stand at the counter and they ask u to put on the glasses and sign the pick up sheet. I have worn glasses since I was 18 and never have had such bad customer service. I told them I was getting terrible headaches from the glasses and they said that was normal. Funny in all the years of wearing glasses, this has never happened to me. read more

We are new to the Kingman area. I tried to make an emergency appointment and was given an appointment for 3 weeks out. That was not good but I made appointment. I arrived for my appointment and was greeted promptly. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The office is clean and well maintained. The wait time was minimal even though it was extremely busy. I felt like all my needs were met from the time I walked in until I i placed my order for new glasses. The only reason I give them 4 stars and not 5 is the waiting area. The waiting area is cramped and the chairs are not comfortable. read more

I went to the kingman store and they were running the buy 1 get 50% off second pair...so I ordered a clear pair and sunglasses...ok..now i wait for 2 weeks...they call to tell me my glasses were in...so I go down to the store and low and behold...only 1 pair had come in...I asked where the 2nd pair was..they said they would come in soon...then on top of it all the glasses they did send had the wrong lenses in them..they put the clear in the sunglasses frame...then I'm told.. well.. we have to send them back " to wherever they send them" and it will be 2 more weeks....so I complained and was told they would expidite the order...well here i am still waiting...I think I'll look around for another place that takes my Insurance. read more

I've been coming here for YEARS! Finally decided to get some prescription sunglasses. Well apparently when you get sunglasses, it widens the frames where they will NEVER fit your face. They don't tell you this, they take your money. How would I know this, I'm don't work there and they have my file, seeing I've never had them before. I go in a couple times a week for adjustments but they fall off. I asked for replacement glasses, even regular and now they won't let me because it's been 6 months, even though I asked 5 months ago. They keep adjusting and saying "try this" so they take your money and give you literal garbage!!! Sad that they must STEAL from their patients. They're already the highest price in town, now they're the lowest quality. read more

Wonderful staff but unfortunately very limited selection of quality frames. I'm disappointed with mine and they were among the best they had available. The same goes for the high end lenses I bought at a much higher cost then far better lenses I found elsewhere. The optometrist was great and the exam is less expensive then other places but I've since learned the higher cost eye exams use a more advanced procedure that produces better results. read more
