I came to Dr. Jackson because I experienced an ocular headache with blips and waves in my eyes, and he discovered my cataracts were hardening in both eyes. I had both eyes operated on, two weeks apart and immediately noticed a brightness in colors and clarity in vision that I didn't even know I was missing. I thank God that I had the ocular headache, and I thank Dr. Jackson that he made me a believer. Dr. Jackson was so reassuring, skilled, and personal. I should note that I have white coat syndrome and get incredibly nervous around doctors with spikes in my blood pressure. Dr. Jackson assured me that he would take care of me, and he did! I felt that he was by my side at every turn in the road almost as if I was his one and only patient instead of feeling like I was just a number as I have in other doctor situations. I also loved HealthLoop, an extra perk that Dr. Jackson uses. HealthLoop allowed me to have all of my questions answered sometimes even before I knew that I had the question. I loved the staff. Dr. Jackson is a very kind, very professional opthamologist. I was legally blind and came to have cataract surgery performed on both of my eyes, and I came to Dr. Jackson as a second opinion. Overall, this was a much cheaper opinion that I felt would give me the most benefits, compared to others. When I came in for my measurements and procedure, the wait time was very short, and the surgery was almost painless, and I now have perfect vision, which makes such a huge difference in the world around me. I originally was a patient of Dr Todd Jackson when he was with Nevada Eye Care. I feel he is a competent doctor, and when he told me he was setting up his own office, I was eager to become a new patient. As a result of one vision exam, he told me I was developing a cataract on my left eye, but it did not require attention at that time. About a year later I scheduled another appointment for an exam at which time he said my cataract was compromising my sight and he suggested I have it removed. The operation went well, no pain or discomfort, and what an improvement in my vision! I am so pleased with the results. My optometrist sent me to see Dr. Jackson because I was having eye symptoms that he couldn't figure out. Dr. Jackson did a thorough exam and listened to me when I explained the problems I had had for about a year. He made three suggestions, one of them being to have my thyroid checked. I thought he was crazy when he suggested it. I began reading about hypothyroid and realized that I had 27 out of the 36 symptoms listed for it. I followed his suggestion to be tested. As he suspected, my thyroid was low functioning. I worked out medication with my regular Dr and I feel so much better overall and my eye symptoms have subsided. I had just thought I was aging and that was how life was. Dr. Jackson and his staff were great. My regular ophthalmologist referred me to Dr. Jackson for cataract removal. I had lasik surgery a few years ago and, apparently, cataract surgery after lasik is trickier and Dr. Jackson has a lot of experience with it. I was a little apprehensive since I'm not real big on anyone poking around in my eyes. But Dr. Jackson and the staff were so reassuring. They told me there was nothing to it---and they were right. Dr. Todd Jackson, performed an ORA precision enhancement surgery cataract on my left eye and a standard cataract surgery on my right eye.
