Our waitress never once checked on us--we had to flag her down every single time, which made ordering drinks and food a chore rather than a relaxing night out. But honestly, the worst part of the night wasn't even the service. It was the fact that a couple brought their newborn to the bar and stayed from 8 PM to midnight. With loud music blasting, they passed the baby around and parade it around on the dance floor, never feeding the child once, but had no problem changing it on the air hockey table. It was disturbing to watch, and frankly, it made the entire atmosphere uncomfortable. A bar is no place for a newborn, especially late at night in that kind of environment. The only saving grace of the night was the band, Trans Am--they were absolutely phenomenal. They put on a great performance, but unfortunately, the energy in the bar was completely off. Nobody was dancing or really engaging with the music, which was a shame because they deserved a much better crowd. If management allows this kind of thing to happen, I don't see myself coming back. There are plenty of other dive bars that at least provide decent service and an environment where I don't have to question someone's parenting choices all night

Because of Covid 19 I had been on hold finding someone who could install a table. Through a series of coincidences I was lead to the Maine Home Recreation website. I called Shane, explained my history including mentioning I had owned a Brunswick Gold Crown 1 as a preteen through early adulthood. I told him about my frustrations in trying to find someone who could provide a table etc. That is when he said the remarkable comment, " you said you had a Gold Crown 1 as a kid? I have a Gold Crown 3 right now and can install it next week". Allison and assistant were here as promised. 3 hours of installation and leveling later and I have a beautiful Gold Crown 3 in my basement. And, I have been transported back in time to when I was 13 years old....58 years ago! I know have a beautiful table to teach my 8 and 10 year old grandkids the game I loved so and share it with them and family as their "teenage hangout". What a gift! Thank you Shane, Allison and Mel! When we got the bill, there was no consideration for the very late food, the fact that we all ate cold food because the people that got food were patiently waiting for the others to get served (until we learned that it hasn't been ordered), etc. I've been here a few times and the food is great. Another form of poor jukebox etiquette is playing gross and vulgar "music", that the majority of the other patrons don't want to have to listen to. I'm not expecting this establishment to hold themselves to some crazy high level of standards. Not stealing from your customers, and not forcing them to listen to Cardi B rap about her disease ridden genitalia every night, in my opinion would just be the beginning of having any standards at all. The crowd that was there was more of 50s and 60s age range. The TouchTunes machine is played way ahead, so good luck if you want to hear something... Otherwise it's a good spot if you just want to shoot with no other expectations.

We got a bag of chips and were told they were out of the tater tots and French fries. No respectable Irish bar would not be able to serve fries or some form of potato with a meal. The bar had about 10 people in the bar and they were all pretty drunk. It is not a fun pub but a place with some sad drunks.
