Let me just say wow! I am from California and we never get this level of service! From the onset we were taken care of with many different employees seeking to take care of us! My wife and I were talking and saying that this store with this level of kindness and service may not work in CA. Took my carbon bike here for a tune up. Also had them change the flip chip on my bike. All I can say is don't bring your bike here. Mechanic didn't even tork my pivot bolts right. Took my bike to the bike store I bought it at. They put bike back right. Do not take your bike here. Mechanics are not very good. I'm just lucky I got it repaired right. If I didn't my carbon frame most likely would of cracked. Take your bike to a reelbike store. Unfortunately Great Falls doesn't have one. read more

My new favorite go to shopping store in Great Falls MT. I was surprised at the shoe and clothing selections they carry. The staff is very friendly and quick to help. I hit a gold mine in the women's section which carries brands like Tribal and many others. A big thanks to Tyler who helped me with my clothing finds. This place has been a frequent stop for us when we are in town and it has literally EVERYTHING for the outdoors and then some! Exercise equipment, sports equipment, hunting, fishing, archery, clothes for everything outdoors, especially the snow! Kayaks, skis, coolers, camping gear, doggy essentials, shoes, crocs, and snacks! I can spend a day walking around in this store because I find a lot of cool gadgets...things I don't need, and necessities you didn't know you needed! Huge selection of gear, brands, and styles. DO NOT BUY AND TRY TO RETURN. I bought $ 1000 worth of presents and do not live close to Scheels. I needed to return 1 thing and called Great Falls to get a return label, she said she would send it to me. I never received anything so I called twice more and they said no one was there that could help me. After 10 days of trying they said to call Scheels in Fargo the WEB department because they would be able to do the return label. I called twice and even with a receipt he could not send me a return label. He said that I need to call Great Falls again on another day to find someone that can do the return label. This was already approved, why the run around? This ruined my shopping experience and I will never shop at a Scheels again. read more

This is my favorite place to shop when I'm in town. I came in looking for hiking apparel and found a great pair of hiking pants, but did not have my size. A very nice lady walked by and she was able to help look at sizes from another store and helped to write up the order form for me to order the pants and have shipped to me. Jamie was so friendly, knowledgeable, kind and really appreciated her help. Tried to return a shoe customer on black Friday. The salesmen talked me into a 4E that was too wide. I called Brandon in shoes and asked if they could order a 2E for me. He said the manufacturer did not have this size. I contacted Brooks.com and my shoes will be arriving today. I had to drive fifty miles to Great Falls and the overweight brunette told me I had to walk 30 feet away to get in line at another counter so I could be helped. I waited for Kim H to help me but she was busy with a custome. She has been wonderful in the past. Finally, Makayla a sweet young lady helped me in the coffee bar across the way. This store has terrible gun department. They are way over priced compared to others stores in town. It's the only store I get tired of sales people. Once you hit a department they are on you like flies. Every year there NFL apparel dwindles on Minnesota Vikings items. I was there recently and they had no Vikings apparel, an occasional hat or novelty item. The never sold Seahawks stuff before, now they have only Green Bay, Denver, and Seattle garbage. Worst experience and a wast of time. It started with a trip to get waders and the sails person was clueless, no problem just go to North 40 and get a set of Simms, with the curb side perches. Call Scheels about there sale on misery ranch packs, sales person said instantly there all gone. I ask All there where at least 30 packs there yesterday? he assured me they where all gone. so I drive in from Choteau over one hour each way, and it looked like the same as the day before. store is closing and im not to happy , someone said that the guy on the phone was referring to a center model Metcalf all I know is Mystery Ranch makes good packs. ask for a pack that i could do a two day back country trip with waders. leave with a small day pack. When i go back in the next morning, manager said no returns till covid is over I say that I should have gone to north 40 they will still return. She accuses me of lying, I ask if shed like to see the receipt? And ironically they still had a Metcalf I left with it. Just shop at North 40 they value us, or buy on Amazon and that hard to say. read more

My husband and I could literally spend HOURS in this store. From outdoor activities to ALL SORTS of clothing. They have it all. WOW!!! The best sports store I have ever been in! The selection is phenomenal! The firearm section was great! They have the rifles out, not behind a counter so you can grab and touch them. The selection of firearms was great. The service was great also. I needed help with an item that the first lady couldn't help me with but she immediately went and got someone to help. I was shocked when I turned around maybe one minute later and the person was there. I expected to wait five or more minutes for someone to show up. I also expected the prices to be outrageous because the building looks really nice and the selection was so huge but they were really competitive. read more

I was ultra impressed with the excellent customer service I received (could not have been better). The sales people I delt with were very helpful and knowledgeable and made it a point to ensure that I had a good customer experience- it was most appreciated! I ended up purchasing quite a lot of fishing and camping gear and I found their prices to be very competative. Scheels is always such a great experience. I forget the gal who helped me in the women's athletic department but she was awesome. I think her name was Kayla. I was on the hunt for good leggings and she offered great suggestions. I spent twenty minutes trying on different tights and ended up selecting the first pair she recommended! She was genuine in her opinions of certain products which was helpful and made my shopping experience even better. I have a real soft spot for sporting goods stores. This one is great. Huge selection of all different types of gear for many different sports and activities. Soccer, baseball, basketball, disc golf, ping pong, racquetball, hunting, fishing, camping, climbing, winter sports and so on. It's very impressive. It's not cheap for the most part, though my wife did pick up a pair of rollerblades that were almost $100 off the retail price. So I guess it depends on when you go. Highly recommended. read more

they have a large selection, but its not always what you want, they carry some muzzloading supplies but its not really kept up on. they have a decent selection of hand guns and rifles although they are somewhat pricey they also don't have lay away. there gun counter staff are friendly and helpful. they helped me attach a scope to my AR-15. though they dont carry some brand of riffle and hand gun due to insurance reasons i guess. read more

I went into the Scheel's store at the mall to buy birthday gifts for my kids and spend a gift card that I had received. I like to browse to see what type of items are offered and how prices compare to other stores. Wow, I will never go back! The salesclerks there treated me and my child like shoplifters. Every time I turned around, someone was watching me, asking if I needed help or following me. I had more than 15 contacts with store employees in the 30 minutes I was there. Seriously? Every two minutes! Leave me alone and let me shop! I'm a middle-aged white chick with money to spend. Don't treat me like a criminal or badger me. I don't need help as my entire family has been into sports, hunting, fishing, shooting, etc., for my entire life. The one guy I asked questions didn't even know the answers, so how much help are your employees really? Booking for commission, evidently. Worse than used car salesmen. read more
