But my husband and I just did not have the best stay. We were tent camping and we were down in the little valley for just small campers and tents. Signs everywhere saying don't park your car down there and we're following the rules but there were still a lot of people who parked their cars and apparently the rules just aren't really enforced. The dance floor was a lot of fun and they had a food truck there which was great for getting a good meal without having to use our own food. Had to really be wary of the golf carts as they are kind of just everywhere and zooming all throughout the place. Maybe borderline dangerous at times especially after people have had drinks. Rules also say no golf carts after dark but rules just aren't really enforced here I guess. We spent a lot of time at the pool and we were with a couple of friends but there were so many men just staring at us all day. It was just a bit creepy. Granted there were some friendly people of course but all those little things I mentioned just kind of put it downer on it. Staff was friendly at the office and this place really did look clean and was well kept. But just a couple of little things that bugged me.

Beach area - rental for canoes and boats, small sandy area and changing area. Even a swing set right by the beach. Trails - natural surface trails that connect all the parts of the park Fishing - lots of areas to go around the lake camping - nice bathroom facilities

We slept on the ground in sleeping bags. There were a lot of people making noise until about 12:30am, playing music, singing, talking and yelling. The showers were not great but fine for a campground. I went to bed around 2am when everything had died down. Around 7am, some banging started like there might be a shooting range nearby. In the morning, I explored the camping area and got some exercise. So much better than a hotel gym! I ran around, shot some hoops, and bounced on their "jumping pillow" which was exactly what I needed before a day of driving. And it was so much cheaper than a hotel room.

Perfect for windsurfing, kiteboarding and water sports that do not require a power boat as they are prohibited from the area. Met some nice windsurfers from all over the world here - Hungry, Chilean, Brazilian... not something you would expect being away out in a small lake in Ohio, but a happy surprise. Beautiful scenery, but can tell a lot of people camp here and do not throw away all of their wrappers. The camp ground should enforce the campers to clean up their sites so this place can be preserved better. Great spot.

Not the same campground…read more I have stayed at this campground several times. My kids love all the activities so we try to make it a yearly stop. They have wibits, outdoor pool, jump pad and other scheduled activities. This time around we were somewhat disappointed with our stay. They campground has been going through a management change. They expressed multiple times they have a 5 year plan. Although I think they are over a year into the plan we had booked months in advance bc the campground used to be hard to get a spot. Although it was only about half full on a holiday weekend when we stayed. They also told us they would have a new resort style pool open by then. Although the pool wasn't even close to being finished. They have emptied out most of the camping spots and have cabins all over the park that have not been hooked up. The grass was really long and someone said the mower had broke. The pool was dirty and we saw broken glass around the edge. Lots of barking dogs, especially across from the playground. During our stay the activities were not at the same caliber as they used to be and many of them you had to pay to participate in. Like bingo you have to bring your own candy bar. And every interaction with one of the bears seemed to have something for sale. The times of events were usually delayed. One time because the shower house needed to be pumped out. I think the dynamic of the type of camper they are trying to reach is different than what I have seen here in the past. Kids still had a great time but just want others to beware if they haven't stayed here in a couple years.

I took very young grandchildren, so they loved it. As a paying adult...it was so-so. The pool was not ready for use. The advertised food truck was not available. The playground was very lame and small. There were very limited supplies in their store, but tons of camp merchandise. The activities employees were great with the kids and my gkids enjoyed the activities. Stayed in the tiny cabin which was nice inside, but had a mini fridge with no freezer. The kitchenette sink had a regular sized faucet with a bar sink...couldn't use it to wash anything without water going everywhere but the sink! There was a TV and wifi which worked pretty well, surprisingly!

Except for the ridiculously small swimming pool, it's a wonderful place. Unfortunately, now new management has shattered our future dreams of enjoy this place. Whoever these new individuals are (as they have never had the decency to ever show face or introduce themselves in any way) have so far not made a good impression. They've increased the prices astronomically for seasonals and claimed to have made many improvements, but other than a new gate entrance, and a few wooden docks, we haven't seen much. Many seasonals that have enjoyed it here for years, now have no other choice but to leave because it is no longer even remotely affordable. So many have already left with many more right behind them before long. All the fun and dreams we had with our family, friends and grandkids must now come to an end. We understand prices nationwide have increased, but this campground always functioned well under the previous owner. We expect small increases annually but by the hundreds. This is a campground, not the Taj Mahal! Other campgrounds are just as nice and nowhere near the high cost of this one. Many of us wonder if these "mystery people" are not just doing this intentionally to make seasonals leave so they can just turn the property into something else. Who knows?? Sad and disappointing.

Plenty of parking for cars, boat trailers, and golf carts. We were there on a Friday afternoon, so it wasn't super crowded and everyone was kind of spread out across the beach. We saw a blue heron, and my friend fell asleep on her towel. We also went back to hike some of the North Loop trail. A good time was had by all, minus the incident with the poorly behaved off leash golden retriever. There's almost always one of those, though..... Note that the beach is not technically dog friendly, but there were a few there.

We loved the trash pick up, the wood drop off and the convenience of booking our rafting trip on site. The campground offered many amenities, and you can tell the staff take pride in the campground. That said, the layout of the campground could use some improvement. Unfortunately, the restrooms are placed in a way that encourages other campers to cut directly through campsites to get to them. We had multiple situations where kids were running up the hill into our site and even coming around our camper and truck, which was unsettling, especially since the parents weren't paying attention. It left us feeling pretty uncomfortable and put a damper on what could have been a perfect experience.

Didn't have any problem fitting a 29 foot camper and truck. Easily could have parked another car in front. The view of the lake and being able to fish from your spot was an added bonus. Most of the weekend activities were geared towards adults with food competitions, karaoke and bingo. They have an indoor pool that was nice but very cold. There is a playground for kids but it is a little run down. Overall a good experience. The campground is mostly seasonal sites but people were friendly.

Our site last night had old food on the table, and trash on the ground. We even found an old tampon. Yuck! It is cheap, but should at least be clean. Never again.
