Jet Express leaving the dock at Port Clinton

Awesome time on the Jet Express. Super easy booking process, large parking area, great bar and play area, smooth 30-minute ride, easy onboarding and offboarding process, plenty of seating inside or out, and friendly staff. The only downside for this trip was getting out of the parking lot. There is one lane that splits into 3 exits but you have to pay at the terminal. Many people including myself had issues with the card reader taking our credit card so we had to switch to cash. It took quite a long time to exit. I'd love to see an option like Park n Fly at the Cleveland Airport where you can pre-pay or pay via the app and then scan a QR code to leave in a separate exit area. Only one star reduced for this item but everything else was fantastic!

Just got back from visiting Put-In-Bay and we enjoyed using Jet Express. Very accommodating and friendly staff. We adjusted our time when leaving on Sunday and they made it very easy. Thank you!

Both trips were very smooth! They offer a cart to put your stuff on so you don't have to carry it on. I think it was ride they wouldn't let me drive but its ok! Lol

Great and fun experience Smooth ride and friendly staff We really enjoyed our ride there and back from put in bay

At the Sandusky dock prior to departing.

Island Hopping with the Goodtime I Crew - A Must-Do Lake Erie Adventure!…read more We launched an island-hopping campaign Friday, and the Goodtime I crew delivered a voyage worthy of the history books! From start to finish, this was more than just a ferry ride -- it was a professional, safe, well-organized, and absolutely unforgettable experience. We departed promptly at 9:00 AM from Sandusky's Jackson Street Pier, gliding past Cedar Point -- America's Rock 'n' Roller Coast -- with Captain John giving us the inside scoop on local landmarks, fascinating island history, and even tales of Lonz Winery. His commentary made us look like seasoned pros when recommending spots to eat and explore. Stop 1 - Kelleys Island Arriving around 10:30 AM, we made our way to the lively Caddy Shack Square. While the Caddy Shack restaurant wasn't quite open yet, the Kelleys Island Coffee Company came to the rescue with fresh fruit and perfectly brewed coffee. Across the way, the Sand Trap treated us to icy drinks in a relaxing, freshly groomed sand setting. We browsed the charming local shops, picking up postcards and keepsakes before heading back to the boat. Stop 2 - South Bass Island (Put-in-Bay) After an 11:30 AM boarding and scenic noon departure, we arrived at South Bass Island ready for lunch. The Keys transported us straight into a Jimmy Buffett album cover -- tropical vibes, tasty sandwiches, and cold beverages made for a perfect mid-day feast. Our stroll around PIB included a stop at the legendary Beer Barrel Saloon, home of the World's Longest Bar. We then indulged in an afternoon coffee from Noddi's Java, expertly crafted by a one-woman dynamo in a cozy little shop -- rich, flavorful, and satisfying to the last drop. The Return Voyage At 4:00 PM, we boarded for our return trip, and by 4:30 PM the gangplank was up. Back in Sandusky, we were greeted by the Tommy Boy Festival. While it was fun to browse, the boat trip had set the day's gold standard for excitement. Accessibility & Service A special note -- the Goodtime I is fully ADA accessible. My dad uses a wheelchair, and boarding was smooth and stress-free thanks to the attentive and helpful crew. From start to finish, they went above and beyond to ensure comfort and safety. The Verdict The Goodtime I isn't just transportation -- it's an experience. Fair prices, easy booking through their website, professional service, and a crew that treats you like family make this a can't-miss Lake Erie adventure. I've already told friends and family that this trip isn't a "once-a-year" thing -- it's going to be a regular tradition. Until next time, Captain John and crew... save me a spot on deck!

It was, without any comparison, the worse experience with travel, of my adult life. On the Ohio…read moreend, Amtrak employees were completely absent. The station was locked. There were no signs, posted information, no employees to explain train traveling to those with questions, nothing. We got there, and just hoped we were in the right place. It was very nerve wracking. On the Chicago end, forget about it. The employees in the station were rude, unhelpful, arrogant and acted like everything about train travel should have been common knowledge--- "what do you mean you don't know the train starts boarding 30-45 minutes before it is scheduled to leave?" There is no information on the app, none of this is printed on the ticket-- My Aunt handed her ticket to the baggage agent and asked him to please show her where it was explained that her bags had to be checked an hour before boarding; he started reading... his response, "well, it's not clearly stated here, ma'm, but, if you go online ( he circled the website) it will explain all this information." Seriously? Does Amtrak not know they can clearly post all this information IN THE STATION? SOMEWHERE? How about posting all the cities the trains, boarding from each gate, are going to make stops at? "Gate C " Train stops at: South Bend, Indiana, Waterloo, Indiana, This town, Indiana, Toledo, Ohio Sandusky, Ohio Etc." Instead, my daughter and I got downstairs and stoped at the gate that read, "Gates, A, B, C, and D." We thought, okay, this is our line. We stood in that line for about 10 minutes before my daughter realized we were in the wrong place... again, no one in a uniform to ask, and we ran to the other gate C, only to be told by a very rude employee, "Sorry, Ma'm we just closed boarding for this train." Insert SSSSSCCCCCRRREEAAAMMMMMM, here. An image of me punching him dead in the face flashed through my mind. Never again. NEVER. We paid $74 more dollars, waited 3 more hours, and finally got on the 9:30 pm train. Where we FROZE. "Holy Icebox, Batman, we have to help these human popsicles!" Our train car was so cold, people started taking their bags down from the overhead, and putting on clothes over the clothes they were wearing PLUS their blankets. We asked a conductor about it, he said "i'll see if I can turn it down". Apparently, he meant it, because it seemed to get even colder as the night wore on. My bones hurt! It was horrible. My daughter and I were holding each other, while curled up, in our seats, for warmth. I don't know how people travel this way. Even if this was just a one-off for Amtrak, it was such a magnificently bad one, that I will never, willingly, schedule another train trip. Horse and buggy would be better. Motorcycle would be better. TRICYCLES would be better. Nothing, nothing, NOTHING, even comes close to reaching the level of sheer ineptitude and madness that Amtrak occupies. My husband's assessment, there is a reason Amtrak is going bankrupt. I don't know, maybe I'll see if there are any zeppelins heading my way, next time I want to take a trip, to Chicago.

Without missing a beat, Valerie offers her pair. Her only request is that I return them when I leave. . So very kind of her. We pay the admission, and begin the tour. There was a lot to see and I would definitely give yourself at least 90 minutes to see both areas. There is a hangar also to see the bigger planes. There were many nice tributes, and we got a kick out of the Hogan's Heroes memorabilia. The vintage cars were a bonus. I can't wait to tell my dad he needs to take a drive here just for the classic cars! I think one of the first cars he drove was the '57 bel aire convertible. The yellow one here is in pristine condition. Also loved the vintage Bob's Big Boy side of window drive up sign. Classic! The attention to detail and restoration is truly a labor of love for many of the items here. In the hangar, there were quite a few volunteers. They were busy getting things ready for Father's Day weekend! The ford two motor plane will be taking passengers for a nostalgic ride. This museum is an amazing tribute to the put in bay, Lake Erie aviators. There is also war memorabilia! The investment that continues in this amazing museum and the diner attached is remarkable. I'll be telling my aviation, car enthusiast friends and people looking for something neat to do to come by, enjoy and donate to help these pieces of history to continue to be available for generations to come! Great way to spend a few hours! Highly recommend this Gem! PS, I did return the glasses after I left. I also bought a cute onesie for my granddaughter !

The people who volunteer and work here IMHO are what makes this a simply amazing museum. From the fine people that greet you and buy tickets from and work the gift shop. The fine folks working and restoring tanks and finding the time to inform and answer questions. When I apologize when noticing it was minutes from closing time, instead of being rushed out the door I was given a "behind the ropes" tour of planes that included getting up close and personal with the most impeccably restored B-25 I've seen. To our surprise our guide turned out to be the Director of Operations for the museum. His unassuming nature and will to give this history teacher a tour well past closing time speaks volumes of his love and dedication to both the museum and its visitors. One of the best museums I've been to and would encourage a visit.
