They also sold the watch with different links then the original but failed to mention it in the ad. The store "offered" to buy back the watch at 500 pounds less than what I paid for. I trusted this business to service two luxury timepieces: my Rolex Datejust and my wife's Cartier…read moreBallon Bleu. Unfortunately, my experience has been incredibly disappointing. The Cartier recently stopped working after condensation developed under the crystal. Upon inspecting the watch, I discovered six of the eight caseback screws were completely missing. This watch has never been handled or opened by any other third party since it was returned to us, and it is kept safely in a mechanical watch winder. In my opinion, it is highly likely that the case back was not properly secured during the service, causing the remaining screws to work loose over time, destroying the watertight seal, and allowing moisture to ruin the mechanism. I sent a formal, private email to their service team to bring this severe oversight to their attention and requested an inspection. They have completely ignored my communication. While the service took place a few years ago, I expected a specialist workshop to stand by their craftsmanship--or at the very least, respond to a loyal customer. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend their services.

This chic and funky shop offers a little glamour to this lovely street in Twickenham. To be honest…read morethe high street is rather lacking but Church Street where London Zu is situated is a little gem. I've been happily surprised to find really affordable things in this shop even though it looks pretty posh and the selection is really different from the usual suspects on the average high street. You can find everything you need for a present (or yourself) from baby clothes to books, jewellery, sleepwear or furniture! I usually like to wander inside the shops, looking at the displays and every now and them, indulging myself with a guilty pleasure, so when I visited this branch with my family, I was expecting more of the same: lovely things and attentive customer service. The thing with this one Oliver Bonas in particular is the customer service. When I have visited some of the other shops, everyone seems happy to help, but not here! There were 3 members of staff in sight, two chatting behind the till in another language and one running around counting the displays. No greetings, no acknowledge of us or the other customer, who seemed very interested in the jewellery cabinet and was trying to gain their attention. We didn't really need anything, we were merely browsing, killing time, but we left very disappointed with the staff. A simple hello would have been nice!

I browsed for a good 20mins while waiting for a friend, and could easily have bought half the shop! I restrained myself though, and bought just a pair of oversize black butterfly earrings. Factory Outlet doesn't really seem like a factory outlet. Let me explain. I would think a factory…read moreoutlet would be really, really cheap and the clothes would be in dry cleaners type bags. Factory Outlet North Finchley is nothing like that. There are some good deals to be had, even a rack starting at just 5 pounds. I'll admit the clothes in this shop are taste-full and beautiful. There is a particularly nice brown ruffle dress in a silky material for 22 pounds and some lovely knits that wrap around your body. The staff here is friendly enough and not up your arse, in a way that is common in a small store. I like to come in here and have a poke around. I will note this store only sells clothing so no handbags or shoes on offer.

In my search for halloween costume creations, I decided to just bring out the big guns and find the largest crafty store possible, and this is what I came up with. It's a haul from central, but they had everything I was looking for (except for the size in one thing), but I got all my crafting done in one place and that was well worth the trip. My fellow yelper wasn't so lucky, as she seems to be looking for some items that just don't prevail anywhere in the UK, but if you need a crafting mecca, I suggest you pick up a crossword puzzle and take the tube ride out. In fact, it's just a pleasant surprise that you notice on the tag that the amazing dress at the front of the shop is half price. Brilliant. The staff are friendly. I was the only person in the shop yesterday and usually I HATE that. I feel compelled to buy stuff - you can't browse and hide if no one else is in there. Especially in expensive boutiques. The dresses are great - not cut to my exact tastes though which is why I came out empty handed. Their jackets are cut very well and very 'officey' - shame I wear jeans to the office now or I'd have come out with three. I think if I keep popping back I'll find some great stuff in here. Lots of floaty silk stuff. Wedding perfect. Dresses usually about £200 are about £60 in the sale right now. Bargain.
