He comes out looking beautiful and smelling great! The most important aspect, to me, is that they actually listen to me. FURIOUS! Went to drop off my 10 pound 14 year old Yorki Poo for a wash and cut. The receptionist put a NOOSE on my dog and choked him! Instead of putting their leash through the loops on his collar, she put it around his neck and pulled~! Shocked, I asked her not to choke my dog and showed her the correct way. She asked if he had a trachea issue and it does not matter - YOU DON'T PUT A SLIP KNOT OR NOOSE ON A DOGS NECK!. Don't say you're sorry, say you will properly train your staff. Cruelty to animals. We have used Scenthound for several years, but in the last year we have had many problems with their scheduling. We schedule a time in advance, and then they call, text, or just change the time of the appointment. I've asked them to please stop doing that, as there is a purpose for our original time but they do not seem to understand. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOODLE THERE!!!! Went there with my doodle, showed them specific pictures of what i didn't want and what I wanted. Requested the longest hair option to make sure they didn't cut too much. Was really clear that we wanted our doodle shaggy. Asked them to be sure they were capable of doing what we wanted, to witch they said they were professional with doodles......Yet my pup came back home shaved down with a very ugly haircut exaclty the pictures I showed them that I didn't want. Love Scenthound. They love dogs and you can tell. We have unlimited washes for our golden retriever and he loves going. My older dog just got a non anesthesia dental cleaning and it was fabulous as well. All other places wanted to put him under and Catherine was able to help him without the risk. They always do a good Job and he is happy and not stressed when I pick him up! I have a Basset that is...well you know...a "Basset"! and they do a remarkable job with him. She looks so bad I'm embarrassed to take her for a walk cuz she looks like she has a disease. I specifically had an at length conversation with the woman about just trimming around my Goldendoodles eyes and tush and foot pads and trimming the nails. He came out shaved!!!! I heard about Scenthound from some people at the dog park so I thought I would give it a try. For $55 my dog was bathed, got a sanitary trim, nails cut, teeth brushed, and ears cleaned. While his nails were not short enough and he was soaking wet (despite the towel dry claim) I had no real issue with the facility or the staff. My dog was very shaky afterward but that has to do with his personality more than the facility. Note: They tell every person at pick-up that their dog was great even if the dog was crying, yelping, squirming, scared, etc. read more

This place went to shit. Used to be great and recently they went through some management or ownership changes and you can tell. They forget to call you when your dog is ready, they constantly lose appointments and the best part is sitting in the waiting room listening to the dogs yelping in hopes it's not yours while rap music blasts in the background. Sorry to say that after almost 2 years of bringing my dogs here, I won't be back. My poor golden retriever was shaved so short and cut on the neck on his last appt and I wasn't even told about it when I picked him up. They just tied a bandana around it and sent him to me. A few hours later, the cut had been rubbed even more raw from the rubber band they used to secure the bandana and he developed an infection! I foolishly gave them another try with my havanese and she received the worst haircut I've Ever experienced. Anywhere. Ever. They also cut off her long beautiful eyelashes after I mentioned to be careful of them several times. I'm not sure if they have a new staff of if they just hire people to groom that have no clue how to actually do so. They were apologetic about the havanese and offered a free appt on my next visit. OK, SO I literally just had my dog groomed like 10 mins ago from these guys and all I have to say is WOW! I have a very unique dog. She's a mix breed of a Pug and a Poodle but she kind of looks like a Brussels Griffon and is only 11 pounds. I've tried other local groomers and told them that my little 11 lbs. puppy is scared of getting wet and to be gentle. Then, I won't say who the bad place was but, THEY told me when I picked up my dog Chewy that 4 people had to hold her down and charged me then an obscene amount of money. I was so upset I thought I had to try something new. I was then referred to Bright Eyed Pets by a close friend who said that they wouldn't get their dog groomed any other way. This place is GREAT!! They came to my work. Yes thats right I brought my dog to work. And I was a little scared when this 21 year old guy came up to my office and said "I'm here for Chewy". I was like Oh Hell No!! I went down stairs to the Spa on Wheels that he does everything in because I wanted to check it out for myself. And oh my goodness!! It was so clean!!! Not like when you go to a groomers and you see dog hair on the ground, this place look like no other dog had been in there. The whole experience took about an hour and when Chewy came back to me she looked and smelled so good!! He told me she was an angel which if he wanted to he could have said she was bad for the hell of it to make more money but he was honest. When I gave him the $85 he gave me a little bag with a treat from Starbarks the gourmet doggie bakery. All in all it was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend Bright Eyed Pets if you have a dog that is a little temperamental when it comes to getting groomed. Oh and ask for Chris if you call them!! He was AWESOME!! read more

Since we can't respond to the owner's responses to our reviews I wanted to respond here in defense of their twisted information for others to see. If you look at my original review/complaint on the company the owner responded that I was shown a video which proved no neglect on their part. What a bunch of bull! The video I was shown was my dog running to my husband when picking him up in the reception area looking happy. Well yes of course he was happy because he couldn't wait to get out of there. What they would NOT show me when I asked was the video of my dog when being groomed. That would have been more accurate to show when the groomer cut and made my dog bleed that had to be followed up with sutures from the vet. Their twisted lie that I saw a video at their premises was a complete cover up! And says something about this company as well. This company does not have the best interests of your dog or you as a customer! Beware! read more
