Scarlett is amazing! I can't even begin to tell you. So, let me start off by saying I am not an easy person to deal with when it comes to hair.. I am very picky and I have super thick and super long hair. Even though I am not a stylist, I know enough to know EXACTLY what I like and don't like. That being said, after having an Ombré done .. I came to Scarlett to tryout the Lavender trend in a way that would fade quickly and naturally in case my boss didn't approve. I was going from a dishwater blonde/ sandy brown color to pretty light blonde color. I was so nervous about the integrity of my hair being compromised ( I spent a couple of years growing out a bad bleach job by another stylist) And about upkeep. I like multidimensional blonde with a low - med level maintenance.. And I HATEE brassy hair. When I showed up for my appointment I told Scarlett all of this and she was awesome! I have had a few stylist roll their eyes because I'm not a pro.. But I KNOW my hair. Scarlett took in everything I had to say with intent.. She was really listening to me. Afterwards she explained what she would be doing to my hair, the products and process and went to work. It felt like we were long time friends.. Scarlett is an absolute pro! I've been going to Scarlett for several years now -- I started going to her when she worked in NYC and have stayed with her even though she is now in LA. I refuse to use anyone else in NYC and will make plans around when I know Scarlett will be in town to do my color lol (not even kidding). Before I found Scarlett I tried A LOT of colorists and I was never happy with the results -- too dark, too brassy, color not blended well etc. With Scarlett, my blonde highlights look absolutely perfect! She listens to exactly what I want and mixes a perfect blend of highlights and low lights. Consistency is also very important to me and with Scarlett delivers an amazing job every time. I got married last year and Scarlett was the only one I trusted to do my hair for the wedding. She put in extensions and curls to create a soft, romantic and beautiful half up/half down look which was exactly what I'd wanted. I enjoyed the hair cut and style that I received from Scarlett. She had a good balance of conversation and silence throughout the session and covered all of the bases, including a shampoo and blowdry. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry, and Scarlett did her best to get everything done before I had to rush and catch a bus. Scarlett is awesome! She was recommended to me by one of my best friends and now I am a client for LIFE! I had been searching for a new stylist and was having a difficult time finding someone who actually LISTENED to what I wanted. She was very patient and knowledgable and took every step possible to make sure my hair (which we lightened A LOT) was just as soft and healthy as if I'd not done anything to it! Scarlett is a great stylist and I've been to my share having lived in 5 cities. A skilled colorist and her blow-out has my top accolades as the best ever (sleek movement with sexy, sophisticated and playful body). My treat was just a few high quality extensions nothing short of fabulous. In spite of longer hair, I was amazed how her skill applying them cured a too-short bad cut I got on the fly before moving from out of state - she seamlessly placed them with great care. While traveling, top salons in London and NYC said they'd never seen extensions so well done. I'm tempted by her blow-outs alone if she was on the east side but anyone west should beeline to her! Scarlett is a extremely skilled colorist and a hair artist. Truly amazing! I haven't looked this good since the last time she did my hair, as I was a former client on the east coast. She went to "grad school" at the best salon for redheads Paul LaBreque (and generally top in everything, cut, color, etc.) and it shows in her work.
