Gretchen is a professional and she's absolutely amazing with color! I recommend all of my friends to her, regardless of their hair type or color because she knows what she's doing and I TRUST HER! Unlike many colorists, walking into the salon you may not be sure exactly how you're going to walk out and whether or not you'll be happy with it, but with Gretchen I am always ecstatic about my color. I always leave happier than when I came in. Whether you know exactly what you want, you're not completely sure how describe what you want, or you don't know what you want but you know you need a change to your color, Gretchen nails it! The first time I sat in her chair, I told her, "I don't know what to do with it, but please make it look good." She gave me ombre underneath and highlights on top and I can't tell you how many compliments I got! Another time I came in and told her I needed my blonde to be bright, but very natural. I didn't want too much blonde and I wanted dimension. She nailed it again. I am natural blonde, but always need maintenance to keep it looking vibrant and healthy. Gretchen has been able to take my hair both darker and lighter without damaging it. There is no question that you get what you pay for and more with her. I moved to Los Angeles from Atlanta and the prices for hair color and cuts are dramatically different, wherever you go in LA. At first, I was hesitant to spend what seemed like a lot of money on my color. But I've been other places that charged less, and I got what I paid for. I was not happy with my color and they were never able to give me exactly what I wanted. Now that I have started going to Gretchen, I won't be going anywhere else.
