To paraphrase "To appropriately taste a good beer you need more than a few ounces. Otherwise, you have a variety of flavors intermingling and not experiencing the beer for what it is". So key is to be immersed in your beer of choice....and yes, you can sample any beer ahead of time so you get the one you want. Truer words were never spoken. We thoroughly enjoyed our beer choices (Oblivion nitro black lager, Long Shadow bourbon barrel aged baltic porter, Apropos a saison for or from the Gods and Quintessential a noble German pilsner). It is quite small, but they do have seating set up (with some cute picnic tables outside in the summer and even live music!). I tried and loved the blueberry beer and am looking forward to coming back to try some more. My only complaint is the water situation - we were there on a very hot day and the only available water was in a big Gatorade cooler (and it smelled a little funny when it came out into the cup). I don't think I have ever heard customers verbally confront each other in the store (doesn't mean it doesn't happen, I just have not witnessed it). It just seems to be a little more laidback than the corporate grocery stores. As a local business, I try to shop there and support them. They are a vital part of our community. We have a lot of people who want to walk or bike to get their groceries and they can here. Prices are reasonable. They could be obscene because of their size and location but they are not interested in going that route. That speaks volumes to the store owners and management. I'm a member of a local civic organization and we regularly ask them for their help with prizes for our fundraising etc. They really do an amazing job and give back to the community. I cannot imagine a reason why I wouldn't want to shop there other than I can't get everything there. The benefits outweigh that though. An added bonus is that you will be paying an actual clerk that will greet you and be nice throughout the process!!
