As someone who fully appreciates a well-run team it's great to watch this very efficient group work together. It's clear that everyone there loves what they do and that is doing the best dental work that they can while always making sure that the patient is happy, healthy and comfortable. The team at Dentistry at The Heights takes their work up to a level of an art form. I don't just mean the results - which, like I said, are excellent - but I mean the act of working together in an office setting. From the first person who ever greeted me there - Naila - every interaction has been a pleasure and every member of the team is working together to constantly make sure I get what I need at every moment. Demetria is a very skillful assistant and a great caretaker. Rosa is always making sure everything is right with my cosmetic treatments. Aska is a cheerful hygienist. Dr. Trotter, the maestro, sets the tone and does phenomenal work while being slightly over-concerned with my comfort. None of this could have been possible without Kate (not sure if she's still there) who worked out a payment plan with me so that I could do invisiline and is supremely knowledgable about insurance, always crunching the numbers so that my employer coverage goes as far as it can. They then tried to balance bill me hundreds of dollars for my initial cleaning appointment, despite being an in-network provider. Do not go here. Get a recommendation from someone you know. The places with generic names like Dentistry at the Heights are corporate-owned and will try to upsell you at every opportunity and misrepresent your dental health to do so.

He explained all the details of the implant process. He will used screws to hold the new teeth onto the implants. Several images and x-ray was done during the course of the year to make sure I will end up best natural-looking teeth for me. On one of my office visits he did not offer any kind of pain management, even though he saw that I was in severe pain while he was doing an alignment. The final day of the implant procedure, He was suppose to used screws with my new teeth. While I was under sedation Dr. Uchitelev cemented a larger wider teeth to my implants. I have a noticeable overbite. I was disappointed in what he did. He did not keep his word.

I called Fresh Orthodontics and got an appointment two days later. The office is really nicely designed ("Fresh" is an apt name"), I was given x-rays and seen by Mark and Dr. Khanna right away who gave me an exam, a very thorough and honest explanation of what's going on in my mouth, and didn't pressure me or make me feel bad. On top of that, the Invisalign would be over $1000 cheaper here than at my dentist. I will be visiting again in 6-12 months to see how my teeth have progressed and if I should get the Invisalign, but it was incredibly helpful not to feel like they were going to try to sell me the Invisalign no matter what and that it would be okay if I didn't get it right away. All the staff including Dr. Khanna and Mark were extremely friendly, patient, helpful, and generally kind people. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, this place is absolutely impossible to deal with. I have been asking at every visit for a price breakdown of what braces would cost . I was told they would send me something via email in the next day two . However, 2 years later, I still never received a cost breakdown. I was told that my daughter needed to have oral surgery. The oral surgeon needed a referral from the orthodontist. This took no less than 10 phone calls and then finally two in person visits over the course of three weeks to get a simple referral sent to the surgeon for what they had asked me to do. It is so hard to get people on the phone. I'm glad to say I went to another location down the street and we got more done in our 30 minute appointment then I got done at fresh in two years. The orthodontist himself seems very nice but the administration and staff and fresh are incompetent.

I decided to take the plunge during COVID-19 lockdown and am thrilled that I finally did. Beyond having a professional, friendly staff and an immaculate office, Dr. Halabi is just an obviously kind person. Being at his office feels a lot like walking into your cousin's house during Thanksgiving--everyone's super friendly (but professional) and you immediately feel welcomed each time. When wait times occurred, they were extremely minimal, and Dr. Halabi always made himself available to answer any questions I had about the process. I never told him that I have a low-key fear of dentists and orthodontists because it just never came up! I always felt like I was in good hands with the doctor and every tech. Lastly, the quality of the straightening was outstanding. I walked in with teeth looking a bit like broken piano keys and now I feel like they could be in a magazine. I simply can't recommend Dr. Halabi enough. Also, for parents out there, I repeatedly observed Dr. Halabi interacting with his teen patients, and his demeanor is every bit as on point as he is when dealing with adults. I honestly can't think of a single thing I'd change about his practice--maybe new wallpaper in the bathroom?? It's as close to perfect as I think an orthodontic practice comes.

My kiddo fell and chipped one of his front teeth. It is a small chip, but it did expose a tiny bit of nerve. The dentist at BiteSize examined him (he cried throughout the entire exam) and told us he would lose the tooth, full stop. She told us she could pull it that day, or in a few weeks, but that there was no hope for the tooth. We decided to wait a bit before having it pulled. We were devastated (our baby!!). After leaving the office, I felt unsettled and decided it was worth getting a second opinion. The dentist at the second practice (also in Park Slope) went above and beyond to care for my toddler and for us as parents. When I first contacted her, she was on vacation, but she responded to my voicemail within an hour and asked me to text her photos of the tooth so she could gauge how serious it was from afar. After looking at the photos, she told us there was hope, and to hold off on any intervention until she could examine him. She also connected us to an emergency pediatric dentist in town, in case our kid stopped eating during the week she was away. He continued eating like normal and didn't exhibit pain that was out-of-the-ordinary directly after a fall. We saw our new dentist the day she was back from vacation. She examined the tooth and had our kid GIGGLING in the dentist chair! He didn't shed a single tear. She talked with him directly and let him use her dentist tools to give me an "exam". She was so patient and made him feel comfortable and at ease through the entire visit. At the end, she told us to wait it out, and that kids have an incredible ability to heal themselves. And here we are...5 months and one follow-up visit later....with a smile full of teeth! He didn't need to get it pulled in the end. We can no longer see the nerve, and his tooth didn't even discolor as the dentist at BiteSize explained it would. I would seriously caution against BiteSize if you are searching for a low-intervention approach to dentistry. If we had stuck with them, he would have had yet another traumatic visit to the dentist and would have lost his front tooth for years. Always trust your gut and get a second opinion.

Throughout the process of tooth extraction and filling, she ensured my daughter that instruments were used will not hurt, talked to my daughter to distract her from being fear of pain, and never allowed my daughter to see needles and didn't surprise my daughter of any instrument. I did used to get cavities when I was younger and even had to a bunch of treatment when I was like five or six years old with Dr. Atty but I've been pretty good since. They did finds small cavities in my back teeth right before college, but used the special SDF medicine to take care of it and had me brush with the prescription paste and I've been good! I like my smile and feel confident and am now happy to leave my own review after being asked! Well past due! I just hope they will finally begin to offer adult dental services as my insurance will be running out soon :(
