The facility is always clean and safe and very nice and tranquil inside. The food is quite good -- the cook makes almost everything from scratch and her meatloaf is the best I've ever had (who ever thought I'd say that about a long-term care facility?). I am also so impressed that they truly consider this their resident's home. Each staff person knows the residents in his or her house personally and seems to care so deeply for them with such respect. Their level of personal attention is very impressive. They have activities every day -- everything from a senior prom to trips out, exercise and appropriate things to do for every stage based on what is best for those there. Our family has been so grateful for the caring staff at Gowin Parc, I just wanted to share it with others who may be considering or needing long-term care for a family member in need of a safe, loving facility specifically tailored to the needs of memory-care patients. I have never walked in the door at Gowin Parc and felt it was a nursing home. Quite the opposite, it was simply where my grandmother lived with her friends. What a gift that has been. They really are a very special group of people with a terrific management team and "heros" to us all! Thank you, Gowin Parc for your caring compassion.
