I want to share with all of you about my fantastic experience recently at the Mattoon All About Eyes location. I have been privileged to work with a fabulous young lady whose name is Shan-Dana Hays!!! I have visited this store multiple times, before my cataract surgeries, trying to find a complete set of frames and lenses that I would like. Shan-Dana Hays was so patient during my frequent visits and very reassuring, saying it was no problem, with such a big smile on her face!!! I found her to be upbeat, energetic, and very cheerful. Shan-Dana has a very magnetic and likeable personality and is extremely personable to work with!!!! She also gave me her very honest opinion about the many frames I tried on, and I finally went with titaniam frames due to a nickel allerrgy. I haven't had to get a new pair of glasses for the past 6 years, so as a senior citizen faced with choosing a brand new pair was a bit tedious for me! After cataract surgery you cannot order glasses for five whole weeks!!! So it has been quite taxing without glasses for that long!!! Shan-Dana finally found frames that I just absolutely LOVE at the Mattoon All About Eyes location! Folks, Shan-Dana bent over backwards, to assist me with the purchase of ny brand new glasses which will arrive next week!!!! I am sooo excited and so thrilled with Shan-Dana's expertise and her caring for another human being!!! I make absolutely NO apology for the length of my review!!! Dear Management, Please acknowledge this terrific young lady with a raise. seriously, and an overflowing of accolades throughout your company!!! There are few people in this world who will attain such personal professionalism and pride in their work!!! Please, please recognize her for a job done extremely well, and for going above and beyond for a patient/customer!!! If you are looking for a very caring and a simply AWESOME professional in the field, please seek out SHAN-DANA HAYS at the Mattoon All About Eyes location!!! She definely deserves an award for her work!!! I thought to myself while sitting with her as she was entering my order in ger computer, that Shan- Dana must really love her job, and right after that thought went through my head, while I was also verbalizing my significant appreciation to her, she shared with ne how much she LOVES and ENJOYS her job!!! Management, she is definitely a keeper, and a one of a kind human being!!! Thank you soooooo much Shan-Dana for your top notch customer service, and may you be blessed a hundred times over for your deep, caring assistance--before and after the sale. Came in last year for my first pair of trifocal, transition lens in Ray Ban frames. Having Vision coverage through my insurance for well over 6-7 years this was my FIRST time to exercise it. Eye exam was prompt, fitting and frame choice, done. Less than two weeks later they arrived. Geat looking, and with practice they would world great too. Less than a week and I had dropped them in the lake reaching overboard for a fish. With insurance coverage I was less than $50 out of pocket, but $1 million dollars shamed! lol NOW - my insurance cycle ending last year and began anew (I could order another pair covered by insurance). Well, I first called and checked to be sure I was covered. Being pretty busy I have to bid my time between ever needed personal and family issues, then there's the business. Point being I was limited on time and wanted to simply replace them hopefully without the whole eye exam, fitting etc. So I walked in without an appointment wishing to just get another pair, same everything except the frames. I was greeted upon arrival by Amanda, who working the floor was without a desk, but was very knowledgeable about optometry and WITHOUT another eye exam. I just chose another lens and Amanda had me out of pocket my deductible ($50) and paperwork in hand, order placed in less than 35 minutes. AND the glasses arrived in about 4 business days. Every time we go in we are never disappointed. The staff are friendly and helpful. They answer all of our questions and never seem to get impatient. Sasha was amazing with helping us understand the insurance side of things. She was funny and personable and made waiting for her to process all of the paperwork and insurance like we were just sitting chatting with a friend. She never stopped working once as she chatted with us. I always feel as though I have walked into a room of great friends every time we go there. The most important thing I can say is that my husband had issues seeing even with his contacts for years. When he would go to his appointments he would never be able to read the bottom line of the chart and barely the one above. Dr. Erin Switzer was amazing. She figured out that she needed to be using the old school glasses that required more work on her part in order to get an accurate read. When we left my husband could easily read the bottom line of the vision chart and easily. No other office has taken the time to figure this out. I was actually tearing up because he could finally see clearly. I love this place and am so glad we found All About Eyes when we moved into the area. This store is the best and it is because of Jules the manager at this location in Mattoon. Jules goes beyond to make sure her customers are well taken care of and she puts forth the effort to accommodate your needs. My whole family uses All About Eyes in Mattoon because service is the key to any product you purchase. Jules has helped my family in fixing glasses and meeting with us if there is a problem. She makes sure that you are 100% happy with your purchase. Her staff also calls, text and sends emails when you have an appointment or your glasses come in. I will continue to use ALL ABOUT EYES in Mattoon because of Jules and her team of amazing associates. I also enjoy working with her sales associate Mandy. Always friendly, kind and eager to help. Please let these ladies know what a wonderful and professional job they do. As a new patient I was beyond pleased with everything! I was able to get an appointment very quickly (the other eye dr office I had contacted was booked out over 3months) and had all the paperwork sent to me ahead to complete. The office manager Jules is simply AMAZING to work with! I had looked online at what frames they offered and picked out several that I liked (i highly recommend doing this) and wanted to try. I called the day before my appt and spoke with Jules. She checked their stock and they had every pair I was considering and pulled them for me. When I arrived for my appt she had all 8 pairs waiting for me. She helped me pick the right pair and saved me a ton of time. I was completely done with the my appt, pupil dialation test, selecting frames and the payment process in less than an hour! Jules was fabulous! Can't wait for my new frames to come in! read more

I couldn't have asked for a better experience! From the moment I walked through the front door I was instantly greeted with a very friendly hello and smile. Each step in the process of the eye exam was seamless, from the explanation of how to fill out the paperwork, to recommendations of what will help with my allergies during the eye exam, to the explanation of all my benefits. Everyone was extremely professional! In addition, I really appreciated the time that was provided by Shan-Dana to help me pick out some new sunglasses. Multiple associates took the time to provide feedback on my choices. The Mattoon store is very fortunate to have such a dedicated staff who appear to really enjoy their job and helping customers have an enjoyable experience during their eye appointments. If you are in need of any eye care needs, then Mattoon All About Eyes is the place to go. I have had the pleasure of visiting them on a few occasions and every time has been a great pleasure. There are many places around to get glasses, but not with the expert assistance and customer service as theirs. They make me feel special every time I need their help. I was greeted by 3 people as soon as my foot hit their doorway. Jules especially has that professionalism in customer service that is top notch along with remembering your name. I went to the store to see if my sunglasses could be fixed. I wasn't hopeful due to the fact that they were old, had been abused, and I thought they were beyond help. I didn't get two steps inside the door before Anna gave me a big smile and a warm hello. Asking how she could help me, I showed her my sunglasses and asked her to work a miracle. To my amazement she did. Plus she also tightened my reading glasses and fixed the crookedness that they had suffered over the months. Her customer service was excellent. I was so impressed with her that I went ahead and bought a new pair of sunglasses. All About Eyes keep your eye on this girl. She is an up and coming employee and has a bright future ahead of her. Going back again this year was like always! They are always very friendly when you first walk in and everyone says Hello! I was taken back immediately to where I filled out my paperwork. The doctor came to get me so quickly I barely had time to get it all done! The doctor was very personable and thorough with his exam. He sat and talked with me and answered all of my questions. He did not hurry me out of the exam room, but listened and talked with me. When we were finished with the exam, he escorted me to the waiting room and handed me over to one of the ladies in the front who quickly and efficiently took care of my payment. I will definitely go back when I need another exam and/or more glasses. read more

Jules(JulieM) provided excellent service. I came in to have my old glasses changed to sunglasses. She went over and above to give me the best price! What was so impressive is she noticed a problem with my coating on my lenses!! She ordered me new ones and found a frame at another store to put them in and exchange lenses when they came in! This was fantastic as I would have had to wear an old prescription! If you could clone her and put her in every business customer service would be awesome anywhere you go! I would highly recommend All About Eyes in Mattoon. I've been going to All About Eyes for years now because of the great customer service that I receive. I was there today for a routine exam. Nathan was friendly and checked me in very fast! The eye doctor was very knowledgeable and was patient enough to answers all of my questions. Dana and the Assistant Manager helped me pick out my glasses and answered all of my insurance questions. Julie, also is very helpful and always greets me by my name. I Love going to the Mattoon All About Eyes, The staff is wonderful and so helpful. I always worry about picking out the right frames. They have always help me find the best pair for my face, I've been going there for 4 years there now. I will never go anywhere again. They are helpful from the eye exam, to getting frames, to get adjustment and even if you just have a question. They treat you like you are the most important person like family and make sure your are happy with your experience with them. I love this store and I love the ladies at the store. Sasha was patient with me when I had to try on a million different pairs of glasses and when She sat through all the BS with my insurance company. This is my second time using the Mattoon All About Eyes and I will continue to come back to the store as long as I live in this city. I had a great experience at All About Eyes with Shan-Dana yesterday. She ordered my contacts over the phone and when I went in to pick them up, she was able to help me pick out a cute pair of glasses in less than 10 minutes! All About Eyes makes eye wear affordable and easy. I am super glad that I switched from my previous optometrist, with whom I had to schedule appointments six months out. The optometrist I saw (I forget his name) was a bit old-school, but I tell you, my contacts are the best prescription I've had in a long time. He was super friendly, too. read more

My husband and I were in January on a Saturday. It was BUSY!!! Everyone was very proficient and polite. Even though it was so busy we were waited on in a very timely manner. Mandy waited on us to take our order and made sure we got the best value for our purchases! Which with any circumstance helps out tremedously. I LOVE All About Eyes! I've been coming here for over 10 years. First as a school counselor, I brought students in need of eyeglasses to All About Eyes. They were given eye exams and glasses for free! These kids would never have gotten eyeglasses if it wasn't for them. Now I need glasses and I wouldn't go anywhere else! I went in to get a lens tightened in one pair of glasses I had already purchased within one year ago and to buy contact lenses. The manager offered to clean my glasses right away, as I had just come in out of the rain. She also unexpectedly offered to replace scratched lenses in my other pair of glasses for $10, and she's able to ship the glasses and contacts to me, as I no longer live in the area and happened to be in town on business. I love this place! I bought my glasses from here a year ago and just recently bought two pairs of prescription sun glasses. Sasha is who helped me both times. She does an amazing job and helps you feel comfortable about picking out your frames. She also walks you through your insurance and all your options. I have horrible eyes and I have to where glasses everyday. It is very important for me to find a pair I like and functions for me. Sasha helped me do that. read more
